Great addition to my cordless impact driver.
Great addition to my cordless impact driver. Allows me to use my smaller sockets, normal size and especially my larger sockets for my car lugnuts and other massive sockets. Very durable and well built. These are found at a fraction of the cost of what I would pay at Home Depot or Lowes, but provide just as much quality. They fit the sockets of their respective size perfectly and have never had a socket come loose or fall off. I Would definitely buy these adapters again, but I don't see mine breaking any time soon! I use the Ryobi 18V impact driver and these fit perfectly. The fact that the impact driver has a quick connect for hex bits is awesome and having these socket adapters just adds to the convenience and efficiency when I am working on a job.

Decent, but don't leave them out on a humid day!
I have been using these for more than a year now. I certainly have not had any of them snap, but the most use they see is on the end of an electric impact (~1300 in-lbs). My biggest gripe with them (and the reason for 4 stars) is the finish. They seem to rust even in mild humidity. I got rained on during a job once and even though I dried them off (on my pant leg), they still rusted like any other tool that had been submerged for two days... I'm fairly certain that these are just bare, possibly heat treated, steel.
My lesser gripe is their length. They add about 1" of unnecessary tool. Some might like that, but if I want an extension, I can add an extension, I can't add a reduction :P
Still, for $5.25 delivered, I'm happy with these ones. I'll probably do some shopping though when I need to replace them.

durable, must have for any drill.
Cant go wrong with these. I got these for working on my car. sometimes you get a bolt or nut that will take forever to take off with your hands. Once you break the bolt, you can throw the socket on one of these on your drill and just zap the bolt right off, and then put it back in with ease. I have not tried them with an impact driver yet but i will, we will see if they snap. I dont think they are impact rated. They seem pretty durable and secure with my sockets on them.

I was truly surprised at the high quality (for the money) of these socket bits. They fit well in my 18 volt drill without any slippage and my sockets lock into place without any play. I always put a drop of oil on each of the bearings to aid in the "easy-on, easy-off" aspect when mounting or removing sockets. Also, I always follow the advice of the drill manufacturers and use impact- ready sockets to minimize the possibility of things going bad. So far, I have not had any incidences of damaged tools or personal injury. I do not consider myself to be a "heavy duty user', so I don't know if these would hold up to industrial applications. However, for a serious DIY'er like me, I'm confident that these are great additions to any tool set. I highly recommend them. GJM

Must-Have Adapters for Your Toolbox
Already used these extensively on my latest auto maintenance projects and I can't tell you how handy they were. Just like the manufacturer description said, it turned my drills all into socket drivers and I needed some of my sockets in 3/8" drive, some in 1/2" and this made my work so much easier. Very high quality, they feel durable and fit perfectly into the drill, as any hex driver will. Hoping they hold up because they are at a great price and I expect to start buying more official SE products.

Work as expected, and do fit snap-in holders correctly.
Work well, The smallest size had minor wobble, but was acceptable. The snap detent in the shaft was in the correct position, so it works and stays locked in to various screwdriver and cordless drivers holders like it should.
The spring behind the ball bearing was strong enough to hold on even some cheaper sockets that had no ball detent (smooth sides).
The metal was more resistent to accidental bending than some others I've used.
I only wish it were as short as possibe. I can always add an extension if needed, but I can't shorten it if I'm in a really tight space.
The 1/4" is 2-9/16" long (It extends 1-7/8" from the tip of my DeWalt DW920 driver)
The 3/8" is 2-9/16" long (It extends 1-7/8" from the tip of my DeWalt DW920 driver)
The 1/2" is 2-7/8" long (It extends 2-3/16 from the tip of my DeWalt DW920 driver)
The Hex shaped shaft length is 15/16th long on the 1/4" size, and just over an inch for the other two.
These work well with my Xcelite ratched short bit handle. (like a small socket wrench, only with a 1/4" through hex hole).
(since the hex part of the shaft doesn't extend all the way up. - but you're still limited to the 2.5" length plus length of socket for clearance.)
I had an old knockoff set like this (from Harbor Freight), very cheap and very soft, and the shaft detent was in wrong position so it wouldn't "lock" into drill/screwdriver snap holders. The metal was so soft that the 1/4" size bent when I used it with a larger socket.
- so in relation to those, this set is great.

The tools appear strong and seem like they will last a long time
This set of adapters is handy because it lets you use your electric drill to drive sockets from a socket wrench set. The tools appear strong and seem like they will last a long time. There are three adapters in the set for 1/4, 3/8. and 1/2 inch drive sockets. I used the 3/8 inch adapter to drive garage door screws which had hex heads. I just can't decide if I should keep these adapters with my socket wrenches or drill bits.

I do a lot of roadside service, and getting a flat tire off the drivers' side of the car quickly is extremely desirable - you minimize your exposure to inattentive drivers. I've used four-way wrenches in the past, but with a heavy-duty battery-powered drill, a pocketful of sockets (really, most lugs are one of only six sizes) and a power extension, I can get wheels off nearly as quickly as a NASCAR pit crew. The SE extensions are well-constructed, fit my sockets tightly, and would have rated five stars if they had only had stems (the part between the hex faces and the socket mount) 1/2" to 5/8" shorter - I'm not accustomed to having sockets so far from the chuck, though I'm sure it'd be easy to adapt to. These are bits that users are going to find invaluable for assembly and disassembly of just about anything mechanical, and any number of jobs that require wrenches or sockets and involve a lot of wrench-turning - this speeds things up far more than most people could imagine.

Good deal, extends usefulness of a cordless drill.
I have only used the smaller two sizes, but they do the job. The only thing I would improve about them would be a snugger fit on the sockets they fit into. When I used the bits attached to a 1/4" socket to drill in some metal roof screws, often the socket would get stuck to the screw and disengage from the bit. Merely an annoyance. I haven't used these on anything heavy duty, but I won't be, because these are being used in a cordless drill, which only has so much torque. Excellent deal for the price.

Just as advertised, use any socket with your drill ...
Just as advertised, use any socket with your drill. Well worth the money, I use with a 3/4in socket to raise/lower stabilizer jacks on our trailer/RV. Saves me about 15 minutes when I arrive to camp, and another 15 minutes when I am getting things ready to leave at end of camping. Can't complain about saving yourself 30 minutes every time you go camping, more time to spend with your friends and family!

Power Externsion Bit Set.
I had to start a 20 Year Old POWER PRESSURE WASHER, and had difficulty using the PULL ROPE STARTER. I removed the ROPE STARTER, used the 1/2 Inch Power Extension Bit in a One Half Inch Electric Drill with the Proper sized SOCKET on the CRANK SHAFT NUT, and using this "SET UP" as a STARTER UNIT, I was able to Start the OLD POWER PRESSURE WASHER with ease. Sometimes it takes a little extra thought on how to accomplish things. James L. Powell.

Make the task easier
I have been looking for the extensions for a while to use in my drill . I bought it for the 3 different sizes and also for my drill use . It makes the job a little easier to do all you do is get the right size socket and pop the extension in your impact drill and you are ready to go . It saves alot of time using the old way of the rachet. I received this product at a discount price to give a fair and honest review.

Probably my favorite accessory for my power drill
Good deal for the three sizes, and these socket extension bits are a GREAT addition to anyone who has a power drill. It lets you connect any of your sockets to your power drill. Won't likely work well for hard frozen/rusted nuts, but works great with anything that is in good to fair shape, even if they're set with some loc-tite thread lock.

You need this
My cordless drill and I are bffs. I got a vintage travel trailer that had 1/4" hex head screws everywhere and I needed to reseal and replace everything. This was just the right marriage gadget to get me going. I'm halfway through, maybe more on my exterior and along with a dewalt drill holster on my toolbelt, I have seamless transitions from Phillips screw bits to hex to flat head and back again. The right tools for the job make the job a joy.

I needed an adapter to connect my sockets to my cordless drill. I came across these on 2DayDeliver for only $3.50. I really only needed them for one repair project I was working on, so I didn't care if they only lasted me for the one use. To my amazement, the are actually built really strong! My craftsman sockets and drive extensions snap on really snug. It took some work to remove them, but it's way better than the alternative (being too lose).
You get 3 adapters to fit sockets for: 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch and, 1/2 inch.
The quality of these way surpassed my expectations. Now, instead of throwing them away after my project was complete like I expected, I am put them in my tool box with my sockets. I definitely will be using these more often!

A must have to put with sockets !!!
What can be said about such a simple item ?
In most of South America getting something like this is next to impossible. Just the other day used the 1/2" !!! why? just because my impact drill and sockets (with these extensions) was RIGHT THERE and it was just as easy to fit up the adapter as it was to snap on a socket wrench and the impact drill makes for a darn tight nut and I like the sound of the driver "hammering" the nut tight.
Makes me wonder why I didn't buy a set BEFORE now to keep with my sockets and HONESTLY should purchase another to keep with my battery operated Impact driver.
Someone at 2DayDeliver should get an award for having the idea of "ADD ON ITEMS". Click and add to order,, no worry about shipping charges if you meet the minimum.

I was not aware of how much I needed them, until I got them
good quality, they fit well, and they have become an esencial part of my toolbox
jobs that usually have done with several wrenches, now I have my "tubes" case and this adaptors, and I use them with my electric screwdriver and drill, which helps me work faster.
ideal for small hex bolts and nuts in tight spaces, such as car antenna mounts (vhf/CB ) quickly adjusting nuts in your bicycle, using long hex TapCons, etc, etc

Perfect for a huge socket sets
This thing is awesome! It literally turns everything that I would need to use a ratchets set four into a power tool task. I wouldn't exactly trust these things with the lugs on your tire if you're using a power drill and not an air socket wrench however for quick and easy change outs on parts and equipment... These things are awesome!

Good product at a good price
Good product at a good price. They are exactly what I was looking for. They do rust so I wouldn't get them wet. If you are buying them for big jobs and a ton of use, I might recommend buying something a little heavier duty. For what I wanted them for, they are great!

excellent for the price!
I used the largest adapter with a 5/8" socket running 6" lag bolts into sill board. The drill complained but the adapter did not. If I have any problems with any out of this set I'll edit my review.
August 22 2011 edit:
I just bought a second set to keep with my Bosch cordless drill/impactor setup. Chucked it in my 18V Bosch impactor to remove 2" long 5/16" socket head seized up bolts (were holding metal track into concrete). Worked nicely. What bolts didnt come out simply had their heads broken off. Havent yet had need to use impactor with any of the lager size adapters yet. If I have issues with them I'll update my post to reflect.
September 2011 edit:
Used the 3/8 chuck adapter with a 3/4" socket to run 6" lag bolts into predrilled holes. worked ok but the torque deformed the body of the adapter slightly and the quick release chuck on the 18V impactor didnt want to release it. A few taps with a hammer on the side of the adapter and it got unstuck. Looks like it's time to get a better adapter set for the impact driver!
