These foam strips are much better than the tape strips
Most of the things that hang from the walls around my house are hung using Command Strips. I like that they are easy to apply, and don’t poke holes in the walls. Recently, my son wanted to hang a lot of picture frames on his wall, so we got the small command strip packs and started hanging the, By the next morning, half of the frames were on the floor. What’s worse is that all of the falling frames kept waking my son up. He didn’t get much sleep and neither did I.
It turns out that 3M had changed from the soft foam strips to thin, double sided tape type strips. The tape strips just did not have the holding power for us that we had gotten so used to with the foam ones. We had enough of the older type to redo his frame collection, but needed replacements. I ordered this big pack of strips and hooks mostly for the strips. I have lots of the little hooks around, especially since I had bought lots with the tape strips that I can’t use, but it is getting harder to find the small foam strips anywhere. At this point, my son will double check which strips we are using to hang things anywhere, since he is very offended by things falling off the wall. This pack has enough strips in it to keep us going for a while, at least until he decides to remodel his room.

Perfect for hanging Christmas light on the inside of the window
I used these command clips to hang Christmas light (icicles) on the inside window sill and it is the best fit for the job. The clip is 1/2" W and 3/4" L, crystal clear, and able to hold two and maybe three 22 AWG cables (my icicles lights have 3 wire intertwined together). Before hanging the clips up, I followed the instruction of cleaning the area with isopropyl rubbing alcohol (not household cleaners), attaching the strips to the clips, applying 30 seconds of pressure to the clip against the wall, and waiting 1 hour before hanging the lights. So far, the lights are hanging up with no issues.
Here are some warnings and notes on the back of package:
1) Do not use with wallpaper
2) May not adhere well to vinyl surfaces. Some window cases are made of vinyl.
3) Do not use for antiques, heirlooms, or other valuable or irreplaceable items
3) Do not hangs things over beds [There goes my idea of hanging a chandelier over the bed with these :) ]
4) Use only one hook per item hung
5) Apply to surfaces above 50F (10C)
6) Adhesive could lose adhesion above 105F (40C)

perfect for Christmas lights
used these to hang Christmas lights around my boards in my classroom. if you actually read the instructions and do what it says and let the hooks sit on the wall without hanging anything on them for a day, they really do work super well. they have been holding Christmas lights in my classroom for 6 months now exactly how I wanted it to!

I love these!
As a homeschooler these are a staple! We hang posters, pocket files, and all kinds of crazy things. We also use them for Christmas lights and they are awesome!!! They come off clean and hold a shocking amount of weight.

Don't waste your money-go to Walmart and get the clear ones that are slightly bigger
These clips are tiny and there is barely any space between the hook and the back of the clip, so you can't fit much in there. I was barely able to get 2 thin copper wires through the hooks without getting them to pop out. Also, completely my fault, but I didn't realize that the opaque white would stand out so much against my walls when put up. Honestly, for this price, you are much better off going to Walmart and getting the clear ones that are slightly larger and cost less. Command is a great brand, but these clips are virtually useless b/c they're so small and it would've been better had they been clear and not an opaque white color.

I purchased a pack of 30 clear clips a few years ago and they have all held up wonderfully. When I need more I ordered these assuming they'd work the same. Of the 3 I've used, 2 have had their hooks brake off. These are clearly not as well made as the last pack.

Great product; annoying packaging & "fatal" flaw
I bought these command clips to hang up Christmas lights around the ceiling in my apartment. When I was ready to start using the clips and hang the lights, I was met with frustration before anything could begin because the stupid package is SO tamper evident that I almost cut two of my fingers trying to open it!
After dealing with the demon that was the packaging, these clips were a dream. I had already had experience using command strips products before (bedroom mirror, shower hanger hook, etc.) but had never purchased this particular item. I have always followed directions and waited the hour or so after adhering the strips/hooks BEFORE hanging anything.
I love that the entire hook is clear and doesn't stick out very much. I was a little bit nervous (even while putting up the hooks) that they were going to be too small to fit the triple wire of my Christmas lights. It ended up being okay that the hooks actually WERE too small to fit all three of the wires, because I was able to fit TWO of the wires and use the third wire to further camouflage the hooks. I was also afraid that the hooks wouldn't hold the weight of the lights, but they held up as if there was nothing on them at all (that could be because I used all 40 hooks to hang the lights, but still). The other thing that I loved about them is that you can position them in any orientation and they do their job. I used them straight upright, sideways and diagonally, and they held the wire equally.
What I DIDN'T like about the hooks is that they are so small that the white command tab sticks out almost as wide as the hook itself. If I were to hang something smaller (that would make the hook more prominent) in the future, the stupid strip would probably stick out like a sore thumb. What makes it even worse is that there are giant gray letters that say (3M) on the strip, so it's not like they would blend into white walls.
So, if you are going to hang something that is large or that will just be able to cover the hook almost completely or entirely, then these hooks are amazing (as they were for me). But, if you are going to hang something very small or that will hang below the hooks, then the eyesore mentioned above might bother you. Which is why I can't give it 5 stars.

Overall good, but stripped off a little paint after removal.
I used them to hang up "fairy" lights in my bedroom from my previous home. This product states that you simply tug on the elastic sticky band and it should unstick without any damage done to the wall. I followed the instructions and although no major damage was done, the paint on the wall was stripped off upon removal. Thankfully, I had white walls so it was not too obvious but if you have colored walls then you may want to be careful or reconsider using this product.

Can absolute damage your paint and wall
Hung great, but could not remove without damaging wall. Put on the wall correctly, wall sticky side to the wall, but when I removed it not only removed the paint (fairly new, $80/gal. interior semi-gloss paint) and even removed a layer of the underlying wall board. We've had to patch and paint every hole. We have heard similar complaints from other people when re-telling our story.

These little hooks were perfect for my decorating needs
These little hooks were perfect for my decorating needs. We live in a small house so we couldn't put up our Christmas tree but I still wanted to display my ornaments (many of which my aunt had hand made for me over the years). These hooks were the perfect solution. I just hung them evenly along the wall toward the ceiling and it created the perfect boarder of ornaments around my tiny little apartment. It helped turn my apartment into a festive little place over the holidays.
