really good, and strong
So far, all I've done is cut off a ~3ft (~1m) slice and use it for "fly" exercises and other stretch-based training. It works great. When I feel it's too weak, I simply fold it in half (doubling the amount of rubber) and try again -- good stuff! It's not sticky at all (feels like 100% latex hospital gloves). I believe this stuff is pure (and thick!) rubber, so, probably not the best for wrapping around your limbs if you have a serious latex allergy. However, since I don't, I've been having a great time inventing new exercises to do while working at my computer. My kids also like holding one end of it while I bounce them (safely!) around the living room. So far, this is very good stuff, but, truth told, I haven't yet tried what I hope most to attempt with it, i.e. making a JorgeSprave-class slingshot. I can already say it's great for exercise. I hope to make some wacky elastic-energy-storage devices and, yes, a slingbow or slingshot or dozen out of it too, but, so far, it is perfect.

The band is fine, and will probably work just fine for regular exercising. However, I was looking to replace a band I got with my pilates set. This red Thera-band was okay, however the resistance wasn't as high as my previous band, so I'd go with the next higher one ("heavy") if this is the purpose you're looking for. The width is also smaller than my original band, which is okay but is harder to do some of the pilates exercises that use the band around my feet, since it just rolls rather than staying flat by curving around my foot.

If you want to know what the resistances of each colour are:
Yellow=1.8 lbs. (LIGHT)
Red=2.7 lbs. (MEDIUM)
Green=3.1 lbs. (HEAVY)
Blue=4.5 lbs. (EXTRA HEAVY)
Black=4.9 lbs. (SPECIAL HEAVY)
Silver=8.6 lbs. (SUPER HEAVY)
I was unaware of the various weights and they're out of order. Just so others know. The weights correspond to lbs. of force/100% elongation.

Thera-Band 6-Yard Exercise Band Offers Versatility and Practicality
Needed the 6-yard size. I cut the entire roll into 4.5' strips. Each strip will be at a different location so I don't have to haul these things around. I've been using these for quite a while. I got some from the physical therapist to use at home and have been doing that for several months, almost a year. These worked quite well as I was able to throw a softball without pain (unlike last year when it hurt!)...still couldn't throw very far but at least the throws were on line with decent accuracy. Although the season is over, am continuing the workouts. These bands do stretch out and get weaker and tear, with time and use, but these weren't supposed to last forever. There's a good reason why physical therapists use these...they offer the resistance required and they are versatile. Less distance to pull requires less resistance. Stretching the bands to increase the distance before starting the exercise increases the resistance. Resistance goes through the full range.

Very useful resistance bands
Very useful for my purposes: Full stretch routine before my session of Olympic archery. I am 66 now and my back trapeziums muscles are in top shape. I am certain that with the right level of resistance, these bands should be very useful for therapies related to all major muscles. I strongly recommend these bands.

Lots of fun
I love this thing. It is super long and the lightest weight band was really very inexpensive. It is a very light stretchy band that is cool to the touch and offers almost no resistance. The magic is that I cut a long piece (like maybe 6 feet) then fold it to get the resistance I want. Doubled in half you can use it for movement with slight resistance. With a triple fold of the same piece, I can use it behind my back to help stretch my arms and shoulders with more resistance. Folded twice for a four-ply thickness it offers even more resistance. It is so fun to play with and I've got a lot left in the box. There are higher resistance bands available for more money. If I were a serious exerciser instead of using it for stretching, I would probably go a little higher on the resistance, but for my purposes, this is perfect.

Top performer. I use this stuff for slingshot bands for home made top quality hunting slingshots. Nothing I've used is better or faster. Very durable and last for many hundreds of shots. Packs tighter (smaller) than tubing in a day pack or pocket. Gold is king, but the other colors have their place as well. My favorite practice\target bands are black, extra length, for full butterfly shooting. Amazing elastics.

Great Resistance Exercise
Great service. Theraband is great for exercise. Light and portable. Comes in a variety of strengths distinguished by color. 6 yards makes 3 regular length bands. Each band lasts 6 months of daily use.

Highly recommend it for those who need the PT routine -- ...
I once again injured my rotator cuff, so back to PT routines. There is a lot of material and you can double up the band for harder resistance and that's a real hassle saver. My wife also uses it to put strength into her shoulder. Highly recommend it for those who need the PT routine -- but please get real physical therapy if this is your first injury. Don't guess on this stuff!

This is a great product. I have known about thera-band for a long time. I had been told about their effectiveness by exercise and physical therapy instructors at my weight management classes, who are women for the most part. I am a male and did not want to believe you could actually do serious exercise with what I thought of as little more than rubber bands. As part of my weight management class, I had to take part in a demonstration of how to use thera-bands in an exercise program.
I was convinced enough to buy my own thera-bands. I am now a thera-band fan. I use my thera-band every other day in the privacy of my own home. I have always hated slogging to the gym two or three times a week. If I missed two or three days of exercise, it Often then became two or thee weeks or longer before I got back to to the gym. I believe I have found an effective and enjoyable way to exercise on a regular basis. Yea! thera-band.
