5 Stars By keegan on 2016-05-05 UNBELIEVABLE I work as a Surgical Technologist and assist in surgeries. No matter how cold we keep an OR it is incredibly hot under all our "gear"...surgical cap, face mask, surgical gown over scrubs, and two layers of surgical gloves. When you add protective safety glasses on top of the mask it is basically impossible to cover your eyes enough AND avoid fogging up. I read TONS of reviews here, and the reviews were right...NO FOG!
I've been wearing the Dewalt DPG55-11C Clear Anti-Fog glasses for the past 3 days and even through multiple mask changes (and my horrible hot flashes...lol) the glasses have yet to fog! The clarity is great and the glasses are fully adjustable and very comfortable. My circulating nurses are so happy that I'm not asking them to adjust my glasses or mask any more to let the fog out! I highly recommend!
5 Stars By Mister 2DayDeliver on 2013-08-01 The Best Safety Glasses That I Have Ever Purchased. Yes, The Reviews Are Correct. Before writing this review, I just purchased another 2 pairs of these safety glasses. Yes, they are that good... I am so sick of purchasing crappy safety glasses and goggles. I trimmed up 3 pine trees recently that were about 55 feet tall. The first 2 trees that I trimmed I used my old safety glasses (Uvex S1900 Skyper) and it is very irritating to constantly not be able to see perfectly- especially while you are using a chain saw. They constantly fogged up on me for the better part of 3 hours.
Yesterday, I received my new Dewalt DPG55-11C and today I trimmed up the final tree and they didn't fog up once. Not only that, I can actually see better, almost crystal clear while wearing them because they are polarized.
Mind you, the other safety glasses that I have owned claimed to be anti-fogging, anti-UV, anti-static and anti-scratch but they are not. All they really are is "anti-good".
My Uvex glasses and my other safety goggles are going in the garbage. See my video that I submitted.
3 other things about the Dewalt DP-G55-11C safety glasses: They did not leave an impression on my nose after wearing them for 4 hours, they have a yellow rubber insulator strip in the area of your eyebrows that does not let sweat drip into your eyes and they are adjustable if you have a larger head.
My entire body was covered in sweat but my eyes could see everything perfectly. I also used them while using my weed trimmer and edger and once again they worked flawlessly.
Can't wait to try them inside while using my router table, compound mitre saw and my sander.
5 Stars By 1redneckprincess on 2016-07-12 BEST ANTI-FOG GLASSES EVER!!!! Awesome pair of protective goggles. I fog up glasses all the time and never believed in "anti" fog lenses. I have yet to experience normal, everyday "excessive" workday fogging. Unless I'm sweating and not cleaning my lenses or I work in a cold place and move to a warm place, these glasses don't fog up. I worked in the coal industry operating a roof bolter which is a very hot job that requires safety glasses all day and these are THE BEST I've ever had. The other cool feature is the adjustability. I don't remember reading this anywhere but not only do the temples telescope in and out for a more snug or loose fit, but they also tilt at the hinges which raise or lower the lenses on your face. SO COOL. And if that doesn't top all, the nose piece swivels at the hinge points to accommodate different bridge sizes so I can either have them snug up against my face or slightly raised off my face. If I had to state a "con" it would be my all time "too many moving parts" comment which I use because it's a natural flaw... the more moving parts something has, the more opportunity there is for broken parts. So far, these glasses have defied that theory but will let you know if anything changes. These glasses are worth the money if not a steal. I highly recommend these they are awesome!!!!!
5 Stars By A. Snyder on 1969-12-31 I can't find anything better for my fat head I've been using the clear anti-fog version of these glasses for the last 3 years in my woodworking shop. What really sets them apart is how you can adjust them to better fit your face/head. For me, being in Vermont where we get the full-on four seasons, these glasses need to fit around beanies in the winter and my bare head in the summer. They also need to work with respirators, for certain jobs, and ear protection on others. Sometimes they need to work with a beanie, respirator, and ear muffs!
These are very comfortable to point down so sawdust spinning out of the table saw and/or router table isn't flying in between the gap. This is probably my favorite feature from glasses that do not have a bottom frame. Full framed safety glasses have a tendency to impede my lower vision which is where my workpieces typically are.
If you have a wide head, like me, and an average-sized nose these should fit you well. I have been through a number of different safety glasses (and continue to try others), but keep grabbing these time and time again. I'm even grabbing my current pair that is a little scratched over a brand new pair of 3Ms I picked up two weeks ago. So, I'm on 2DayDeliver ordering a new pair now.
5 Stars By SRK on 1969-12-31 Good for light/moderate duty outdoor work These are the most important safety equipment that you can use. None of them are comfortable, but neither is losing an eye. My teenaged son used to argue with me about wearing them until a screw popped loose and hit him in the face. Thankfully he did not get hurt that time, but it was an important lesson. He now wears these when he is working outside. I have also encouraged him to use these for yard work as well (ever been hit with dirt or stones while mowing?). The wrap around lens gives protection from the side. I would classify these as light/moderate duty. They will give you protection for ordinary jobs. If you are working with chemicals or higher impact applications, they will not work because they're not rated for that. This brand also makes a clear version for indoor work. We have those, too. We used them when we were pulling up carpet and removing nails and staples from wood floors. They have held up for the last six months of steady use. When these wear out, we will be getting more.
5 Stars By COA×4 on 1969-12-31 Clinical and housework applications I ended up purchasing a second pair after consistently placing my EMT shears and safety glasses in the same thigh pocket. I might also purchase an extra pair for handy work and DIY projects. These are much more comfortable than my chemistry lab goggles. These are adjustable and fit small, female faces. I am a hat size 7 and pupil distance of 63 mm, and these protective glasses fit me well. For all practical purposes, I also weigh 110 lbs and am 5'8".
If you are a health professional, specifically a nurse or EMT, I recommend you to keep these on for the entire shift. You will not notice any visual disturbances nor weight discomfort but will be grateful that you had these on when the projectile vomiting and chronic cougher arrives. I sometimes forgot I had them on.
4 Stars By yardstick on 2016-06-30 Best anitfog on the market??? I don't know if my expectation of anti-fog are set to high. I do know that I sweat a lot, always have, always will. I have found a fix for these. The glasses have a bit of tilt function built in. so I basically set them to the highest tilt so the bottom can breath and I get little to no fog. I am the only one on my crew that wears eyes protection all day and I have actually looked for these while they were on. (the sun hit me wrong and I forgot they were on). So they are comfortable. The sweat band across the top is supremely useful I rarely get sweat on the actually glasses.
5 stars if they didn't have to be nearly an inch from my fact on the bottom to keep from fogging up.
5 Stars By Thomas K. Seibold on 2017-10-22 The ultimate Tool Guy eye protection Style-wise, you're not going to find much cooler-looking eye protection. I got the so-called "indoor-outdoor" lens, which is lightly mirrored and slightly light-blocking. But in the "smoke" or "silver mirror" lens, these could stand in as a pair of sunglasses. They feel pretty high quality, though they pick up light scratches as all plastic lenses do. But it's that yellow DeWalt logo and trim that reminds you these are "tool guy" glasses, and give you the extra confidence to handle any job.
3 Stars By JP on 1969-12-31 Dewalt safety glasses I bought these glasses after my other safety glasses continued to fog up. The glasses are comfortable and sit well on my face. I like the adjustments on the arms and they seem to be well made. the wide arms do not sit well while wearing over the ear type hearing protection though and become very uncomfortable after a few minutes. Other than that issue they area a decent pair of safety glasses and don't have the fogging problem that other safety glasses have.
3 Stars By yardstick on 2016-06-13 Sadly these are no better than the $2 Nox brand I get from Bi-mart Anti-fog these are not. I bought these and the sunglass version Dewalt DPG55-2C. I thought that I had somehow mis ordered these and got the non-antifog.
I frame houses for a living and I'm a sweaty dood these last about 2 minutes before I need to take them off and wipe them down. Oddly enough the sunglasses make it about 10 minutes.
I know I might be an outlier for how much I sweat so I did some experimentation today. 1. Normal wear with hard hat on ≈ 2mins before fog. 2. No hard hat ≈ 3-4 mins. 3. No hard hat and a towel off first ≈ up to 10 mins.
Most of my tool are Dewalt so I was excited to get the glasses so I can match :p. Sadly these are no better than the $2 Nox brand I get from Bi-mart.
