Decent product, good price
I use a LOT of canned tomatoes. I prefer to start with whole canned tomatoes because you get the best parts of the tomato instead of the bits and smashed ones that go into crushed tomatoes or other varieties. I cook a lot, and turn these tomatoes into sauces, soups, stews, even quick salsas. They are one of the most versatile staples in my kitchen so I like to always have them on hand.
I can take or leave the bits of basil in this particular variety- you can definitely see the big pieces but I don't taste basil really in the tomatoes or sauce surrounding them. This is fine with me because it makes them more versatile but if you're really looking for a basil flavor in the tomatoes, these aren't really it.
I also like having them delivered because large cans are HEAVY and if you live in a city like I do, you are generally carrying home whatever you buy. Instead, they show up on my doorstep and I have them when I need them.

Tomato sauce for those than know
There is a reason this is so hard to find at our local grocery store now. People are wise to how friggin' amazing these tomatoes taste...right out of the can. Seriously, there is NO comparison. One can of this, a little fresh basil, a few cloves of garlic, a little kosher salt, and a little pepper and you will have the most amazing pasta sauce.
Hint: get the Soprano's cook book and enlighten yourselves

Like these larger cans! I have been using Cento tomatoes for several years now. On occasion I get a can that has very mushy tomatoes in it but that isn't often especially not as often as other brands I have tried. They have good color and flavor and are packed in sauce-like juice. Be prepared to spend more money since they are imported but they are worth it!

Love Those Tomatoes
The most fantastic tomato flavors in a can. I prefer their jarred tomatoes but they do tin cans now. These tomatoes smell and taste like my home canned ones did, fresh from the vine. 2DayDeliver offers some stellar quality tomatoes and this is one of them.

Watered down, half of content is watery tomato puree
I am disappointed , to say the least with, with this product. While it seems to have been highly touted by most respondents, I cannot quite see why anyone would be satisfied with a 35 oz can containing less than 50% tomatoes. The tomatoes are mushy, have a watery taste as can be expected after they have been drowned in thin puree for weeks.
Definitely will not reorder this one..Overpriced of course.

Good value, but a the cans were dented
I never buy jarred pasta sauce. Read their labels for salt and sugar content, and you probably won't buy jarred sauce either. These tomatoes are great for a home-made pasta sauce, but the cans were a little banged up. Eight of the cans had small dents around the edge of the can which wouldn't effect the contents. Four had larger dents that made me wonder whether I should throw them away.

Badly dented cans!
Most of the 12 cans were severely dented. There's no leakage and I've opened and used the contents of one of the cans, found the contents to be fine but if you're going to sell such deformed cans, they ought to be represented as such. That they weren't damaged during the shipment to me is evidenced by the fact that both the interior and exterior cartons were perfectly intact.

These really are the best tomatoes ever.
I mean, you can take a can of this, gish the tomatoes up, put them in a pot with some more basil and a few other seasonings and (after running it through a chinois or hitting it with a stick blender) have the best tomato soup you've ever had.
4 stars because I'm bitter that 2DayDeliver stopped carrying it on Prime :(

Awesome, came in a timely manner, (I did the free shipping which is like 2 more days longer + it's free) anyways I would recommend this to anyone who cooks italian food. I make red sauce non stop and buying in bulk saves money so its a no brainer. Also they expire date on them is 2014. So it's no biggie if you dont use it asap.
