... using the Eastern Jungle Gym Classic Swing Set and love it. We replaced the trapeze for a toddler ...
We are 2 months into using the Eastern Jungle Gym Classic Swing Set and love it. We replaced the trapeze for a toddler bucket seat (also Eastern Jungle Gym) for our almost 2 year old. He loves the swing & asks to swing often. I also love it and will swing for hours on end into the night.
Assembly was relatively straightforward, but here are some notes:
- Check the bolts & nuts. We had a bolt that was bent and went to the big orange store to get a new one.
- I personally did not use pretreated wood, because I'd read about the dangers of getting a splinter from the treated wood. Instead I used a standard deck stain
- That same big orange store cut my 4x4's & 4x6's for me so no need to break out the circular saw.
- Make sure to get a long enough drill bit to go through the 4x6. Trying to meet from either end would take a level of skill I didn't even want to attempt.
- I was able to assemble the entire swing set by myself, but needed help flipping it over into place

The best quality.
I am beyond pleased with this kit. The quality is first rate. I would recommend buying the lumber and let it dry out a litttle before you put it together. Fitting the 4x6 was a pretty tough job. I know that it is designed that way, since the wood will shrink over time. But, it was worth it to get such quality. This is as close to commercial quality that you can get without going with an all steel set. I'm very happy.

Missing parts. Wrote company and they didn't respond.
We received the swing set hardware kit and upon opening we quickly realized ALL of the hex bolts, lag bolts, washers and lock nuts were missing from the package. After several hours of running around town and an additional $75 dollars we were able to purchase these items from local hardware stores. We got the swing set together, went to attach to swings only to realize the hangers that attach the swing chain to the swing brackets were missing also!!!!!!! This is NOT ok! Especially when you set aside TIME to complete this project only to realize you didn't receive what you purchased and paid for!

Decent... will purchase again
The ground anchors are useless and you are required to sand down the posts to be able to slide in the brackets. I used lumber from a local hardware store.

Heavy Duty & Easy to Build
Look no more. I read review after review on 2DayDeliver and was reluctant to purchase this one because it didn't have many reviews. So glad I trusted my gut and purchased this one. My husband had it up in one hour with the help of our 11 year old. It is heavy duty and all three of my children ages 11, 10 and 7 are able to swing on it and it doesn't budge. He took the brackets to the hardware store and was out with the correct wood beams in minutes. There were no instructions but anyone with a little building knowledge can figure it out. We had a Rainbow Cedar swingset playhouse at our old house and was looking for something similar but much smaller to fit in our new smaller yard - this was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I am thrilled with this purchase and would recommend it to our friends.

You get what you pay for... Quality!
This swing set kit is fantastic. I have had many compliments and two of my friends decided to build the same one after swinging on mine. Easy to construct and will last for many, many years. I did 9ft for the legs and did not anchor them in any way. I can more the swing (with the help of two friends) if needed. I suggest reading the questions and previous reviews for tips and assistance. Took me about a half a day to assemble by myself, but did require help from two friends to flip it up and move it in place.

Great DIY swing set
Includes all the necessary hardware for setting up a basic and very solid swing set. The joining pieces are much stronger than some other (cheaper) choices. Much easier than buying the parts separately. You do need a few good tools to put this together but its not complicated. I've now purchased three sets for the grandkids.

I recommend using a single 4"x6"x10' for the swing bar
I recommend using a single 4"x6"x10' for the swing bar, but you may need to shave the ends to get it to fit. You will save yourself over $300 if you buy this and get your lumber from home depot. The home depot near my house in Niles IL had pre-stained wood, so after I put it together(approx 4 hours, due to shaving the ends) it was ready to go, no staining needed. It is sturdy and without putting the anchors in, I can even swing on it myself(170lbs) without the legs lifting off the ground. The true test....my 5 and 7 year olds absolutely LOVE it! It looks great in the backyard as well. Very satisfied.

Looks and works great!!!!!
Worked quite well and we are very satisfied with results and actually built two at the same time for our church! As described in the other reviews we had to do a bit of trimming of wood but otherwise went as expected.

We love it and our grands love it too! Reasonably priced. Easy to assemble. Upon the recommendation of a Home Depot associate I used a speed square to line up my drill bit for the bolt holes for the hangers. It isn't precision so you can eyeball most of the measurements.
