Knocked out our spider problem
After we moved into a new (to us) house last year, we quickly realized that we had a spider infestation. After putting a couple of boxes of the Terro Spider traps in the unfinished basement (laid flat) and behind dressers in bedrooms (folded), the traps were completely full of dead spiders. We've put out a couple more boxes of the traps over the last year and the spiders seem to be under control now.

Does the job!
Love these traps! I was skeptical at first. I know I have lots of spiders in my house, big and small, I see them all over the place. When after three days the traps hadn't caught anything, I was frustrated. Since then, I have found that you must do two key things to make these work:
1. Don't move or bother them too much! Rarely will you find a spider in a spot you cleaned 30 minutes ago or the day before. They like untouched places.
2. Just because you have caught a spider in the bathtub once or twice doesn't mean that's wear the trap should go. In my house, I catch no spiders in the bathroom, in spite of the fact that I have seen them there many times. I catch the most spiders when I put the trap in and among all of our shoes in the entryway of our home. 4 spiders in one week.
Word of caution: especially if you are in an area with dangerous spiders (black widows) take care when checking your traps. Don't just grab it....the spiders stay alive for days after being caught. Better yet, only check your traps after a month or two when you suspect the sticky has become too old from dust and they need to be replaced.
Pets: completely ignore these. My dog doesn't give them a second look and never bothers them.
BOTTOM LINE: Great traps, just be smart about placement. I recommend these to anyone with a spider problem, anywhere. I feel much better about my spider population now, and will continue to use these indefinitely.

I stuck these in a few dark closets and behind furniture and forgot about them for a few months. We do not often notice spiders in our house, but each trap had caught a handful. They were easy to assemble and my dog had no interest in sniffing them out. I will definitely use again.

Good news and bad news
I put two of these out a couple of weeks ago. The good news is the one trap caught a spider almost right away. The bad news is it has been over two weeks and I just saw the spider wiggling and trying to get free. I don't have the courage to pick up the trap, or to check the other one. These traps are a blessing and a curse, and will hopefully snag some bad guys, but they sure create new problems if you are squeamish. Does anyone know how a spider can live for weeks like this?!?! It looked dried up and dead the second day. At least it's not roaming and reproducing. Thanks, Terro.
EDIT: More bad news. I am not making this up. The same spider was on the trap one night, and the next morning IT WAS GONE! These traps should come with a mental health warning. I did the math, and it had been stuck for well over three weeks. HOW is this even possible?! I hope a knowledgeable person will answer the question. So a word to the wise, don't be a baby like me and KILL them somehow after they are caught. I was so grossed out, and now I feel haunted. Either this is real, or I am big time losing it. I did get a laugh out of the idea of needing a little spider version of Sherlock Holmes to inspect the set of tiny, sticky footprints that must be leading away from the trap. Unfortunately, I have a feeling this mystery won't be solved and I'm not even sure I want to know.

Worth every penny!
I set this trap out for one night in my garage, and woke up to see that it caught a spider and 2 large cockroaches. I have never even seen a cockroach in my garage before. This stuff is amazing, and well worth the money!

IT CATCHES MICE TOO!!!!
This is an amazing trap. I got these a few months ago when I noticed that I had a large spider problem in my basement. I put about 10 of these traps along the edges of the floor, and they filled up FAST. But this didn't just catch spiders. Even tiny mites and flea-sized bugs got immediately stuck to the gooey adhesive. There is no escape! No bug is too light to walk over it. This product is incredibly effective.
But I should also mention: this trap actually caught a full-sized mouse that made his way into my house with the winter weather. That's right, the mouse walked on the trap and got completely stuck. There was evidence of a major struggle on behalf of the mouse (blood, hair), but that just allowed the trap to stick to him more! The mouse was alive when I found it, and despite a last-ditch herculean effort to escape, there was nothing he could do to get out of it.
So, one point of caution: the product description says "safe to use" around kids and pets, but if a cat or dog walks over this, they would definitely get stuck. You would literally have to shave their fur off to get them unstuck. Same thing would go for a child's hair. This is like waxing gel or something. You won't get it off without some skin, as Mr. Mouse has demonstrated for us.
But, if you don't have pets and really want your spider problem to go away, buy like 5 packs of these and watch the magic happen. Yes, it is kind of creepy to see the graveyard of spiders and bugs it collects, but it should be comforting to know they are not crawling around your house or getting into your food. Same goes for the mice!

Wasn't expecting much but..
I am pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of this product. I live in the basement level and my apartment came with more than a few unwanted guests....SPIDERS. This is an effective way to capture and kill bugs without having to do any of the work. First night placing these around my windowsills I captured 3 spiders....after a week, I managed to capture around 20 spiders and a couple of other bugs. My only complaint is that the traps don't actually kill the spiders instantly with poison, it just traps the bugs by getting them stuck. After a day or two they die because of dehydration or whatever...but I do feel somewhat bad for allowing them to suffer (yes, I want them dead but I don't want them to suffer).

I had a huge hobo spider (about an inch-long body not including legs). My boyfriend tried and failed to kill it and it crawled away into the hall closet! I was freaking out...I hate spiders. I had a pack of these traps, recommended by my sister, which I had not set out yet so I set one up inside the closet and shut the door. Within the hour that spider was caught in the trap! I am so amazed and no longer skeptical. I am going to sleep well tonight knowing that the spider is no longer at large within my house! I am about to order a bunch more traps and put them everywhere as it is "spider mating season" here in Washington state, a very creepy time of year indeed.

Messy and ineffective
These traps were a mess to deal with! They are made of flimsy paper and I put one in the corner, underneath a window on the floor. Within a couple of days it sort of collapsed onto itself and it's so sticky and gooey that it just stuck to my floor creating a huge mess. I left it like that for a month thinking that if it could catch my floor like that maybe it will work for spiders too. I ended up finding one well preserved spider corpse after all of that. I actually felt a bit guilty that it died such a slow, painful death. I think smacking them with a newspaper is more humane than these traps, and you won't have a sticky mess to deal with later.

Been capturing many different creepy crawlers in all corners of my garage with these! One of them filled up completely and I tend to get scared looking into them to see what was caught. I haven't seen any spiders/bugs inside the house since I started using these in the garage. Need to replace them now and order more!
