Excellent sound, excellent headset
I've had this unit for a week. I use it for calls that sometimes last as long as 2 hours. I use it primarily for the headset.
1. Headband is comfortable on head.
2. Battery life is good. I did 4 hours of calls in 1 day and headset battery was still going strong.
3. Sound quality of headset is excellent in both directions. Several people have asked me "Did you get a new headset? Your calls sound much better."
4, Headset has a mute button.
5. I haven't tried a full distance test, but it works throughout the house.
1. It is difficult to "feel" the mute button on the headset. After a while you learn where it is, but it would have been nice if they had put some tactile feedback on the mute button.
The headset does feel a bit on the loose side to me, but I've found a position that keeps it secure enough so that I can do my exercises without it falling off, so I don't view this as a real "con".
If you're looking for an inexpensive headset, I recommend this unit.
Update#1: I had a chance to do a simple range test with the headset. I walked out the front door to the foot of the driveway. I then proceeded down the block. I made it just beyond my neighbor's house before the signal started to cut in and out. The headset will function properly at distances that exceed what is needed to cover one's home and back yard.
Update#2: August 20, 2011. I've had the phone for 3 months and I have not had any problems. I use the headset many hours/week and it continues to function well.
Update#4: May 19, 2012. I've had this system for a year now; both handsets and the headset continue to work well.
Update#5: August 9, 2013. I've had this system for 2.25 years. The battery LED always shows red no matter how long I charge it, although it will still last 2+ hours before it dies. I have to take responsibility for this problem, as I allowed the headset battery to "run down" to empty multiple times. Most recently the battery was left dead for 10 days before I found the headset and put it back on the charger. I consider myself fortunate that it will still accept a charge at all.

Like the Phone but not the Headset Headband and there is no Headset Jack
Background - I work from home so am on the phone a lot using primarily a headset or the speaker. I have been using Panasonic phones for the past 15 or more years and was going to order another one. But the volume quality was not good enough and they redesigned the phone so that some of the main features I wanted, like Mute, where not readily available on the front of the phone. So I ordered the VTech LS6475 DECT 6.0 cordless phone with the cordless headset.
Review - Overall I like the VTech phone. It is slimmer and lighter, more comfortable to hold, and the handset and speaker volume is louder and more clear then the Panasonic. I would have given it 5 stars if it had a better headset AND a headset jack. I prefer to use a headband and not the over the ear piece on my headset but the headband is terrible - thin, flimsy and cannot take the weight of the headset. And I do not have the option to use a wired headset.
Phone volume and speaker volume loud and has 7 settings
Slim and light weight
Mute and Speaker buttons easily visible on the front of the phone
Has a volume equalizer (works fair not great)
Has a wireless headset
Headset head band is terrible - too thin and flimsy
Headset mute button in odd location - end up hitting the volume at the same time
Headset mute button says "mute on" and "mute off" which is distracting when you are listening
Phone screen font is small
Specialized battery (not rechargeable AA)
Update - I have been using this for a few months and am getting a different phone (any suggestions out there?). I actually like the phone itself - it has good volume and is a nice design. And if it had a headset jack I would keep it. But I do not like that when screening messages it plays the recorded message (you have reached ... please leave a message.). And I use a headset 90% of the time and it is worthless. I use the headband but it is so thin and wimpy that it cannot take the weight of the headset - I even added duct tape to try and make it wider and heavier but no luck. I cannot hear because the headset does not sit close enough to my ear, it falls off if I look down, and now, with the duct tape, I look stupid. And the ear buds and over the ear band are really uncomfortable and do not fit. In addition the Mute on the headset says "mute on" and "mute off" and beeps when on mute which is really distracting. Finally the second headset cuts in and out so we do not even use it. Really disappointing as I love the concept of the wireless headset.

One more user with broken headset
I saw several review complaining that the tiny plastic coupling holding the earhook on the headset had broken, but I thought that I would be a lot more careful than most users. I have no children in the house. No one else touches the phone. And I am very careful with things, in general. Unfortunately, that was not enough. In the simple act of putting the headset on, the earpiece broke off. This happened about 3 weeks after I purchased it. But I was unable to return it within 30 days due to business travel. Although 2DayDeliver did agree to accept a return, they withheld about $16. I don't know if this was to recoop shipping in both directions or some sort of restocking fee. The unit was useless to me, so at least I got something back.
I found the battery life, and many features of the phone to be excellent, with one exception. The sound was very poor. There was a crackling sound at all volume levels (like over-modulation) that is really grating on both the handset and the headset. I have another DECT 6.0 phone from AT&T that does not have this problem, so it's unique to the VTech. It is unrelated to distance, as I always used it in the same room as the base station. I was hoping this was a low-cost way to get a usable headset, but I cannot recommend it.
Not sure why it was a separate credit, but 2DayDeliver did refund the remainder entire amount with an additional credit several days later. So kudos to 2DayDeliver for the full refund! Their customer service shines, even when the product (in this case) fails to.

Don't buy it for the headset
Bought this because I needed the headset. Not worth it. None of the earpieces fit well and the over the head adapter doesn't sit on the phone so that the headset can charge. Plus using the over the head adapter forces the microphone against your cheek so you get a lot of static on the other end. I've used headsets for years and this is pretty bad. Other than that, its a good VTech phone - no better and no worse than any of the others.

the phones are a little to thin and flimsy and a little hard to hold under the ear however the headpiece which is ok but not great since it does not come with a headband to hold it in place better. Once you have the headpiece in your ear correctly it does serve the purpose - older model might be a little better to use.

Almost Great phone system
This VTech LS6475-3 phone system provides what I need to be able to work at home.
Voice clarity is very good.
Answering system clarity of voice is very good.
Answering system is easy to use.
Handset is thin, light, easy to use.
Handset screen is easy to read.
Additional handsets are well integrated into the system.
Additional handsets pair easily and quickly with the base.
Charging system for handsets and headset are good. Charging is fairly fast.
Headset voice quality is very good.
The headset doesn't snug in the ear well. I put the ear-hanger on it and it hangs on the ear, it's comfortable, but I had to keep pushing the thing in my ear in order to hear the conversation well and it tended to fall off my ear when I tilted my head. It doesn't fit tightly. I finally took the ear hanger off and put the over-the-head thing on and that holds it to the ear better, but it's still not the snug fit I really want, even with the multiple sizes of ear pieces. However, it's still good headset.
The numbers I program into one handset aren't automatically copied to the rest. I'm not sure any of the wireless phones do that, but I wish they would.
Bottom line is that I like the system a lot, would definitely recommend it, and I'm not sorry in the least that I bought it. I have the base and 5 handsets.
Added review--I ended up sending the system back. The little headset broke right off the bat, I got it replaced and the new one broke just as easily. I started having trouble with the sound quality too. Too bad. Except for what went wrong it was a nice set. But now I'd have to say I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

No more VTech for me!
Was really excited about this phone and the wireless headset. Started having small problems initially and things got worse fast. The headset doesn't fit well, and would flap around on my ear. Many times I found that i had to hold the phone tightly against my ear to hear well. It was infrequent, and didn't think it was a big deal, so I kept the phone.
About 30 days after owning the phone, the clip on the wireless headset broke. No more wireless headset. Found this really disappointing since this was the primary reason I bought this phone.
A few days later, people started complaining they couldn't hear me. My voice would apparently just cut-out completely although I could still hear them fine. Never had this problem with any other phone in my house. I had to re-initiate the call for my voice to be heard.
Really don't like this phone, and probably won't buy VTech again. Headed to the store now to find a replacement.

Sound quality isnt the best but it does the job
The phone was easy to set up, and does the job we need it to do. I do feel that the sound quality could be better. It sounds like you are in a tunnel when speaking to someone when using the handsets. The headset is okay. I bought this for my business so the headset is what is used during calls for hands free. But I really think for the price they would have made a better quality handset. I could have gotten att quality for less but it didn't include the headset. I guess you get what you pay for. It does the job, that's why I gave it 3 stars.

If you plan to use the headset- don’t buy! Bad design and quality broke very easily
Well the phone seemed to have all the functions needed and work fine but the small plastic clip that attaches the handsfree piece to the headset broke in 3 days... that was not with any force or unusual handling or accident- just normal use. Now I can’t use the headset which is 100% necessary for me as this was purchased for a work phone

Poor Quality Merchandise
I am extremely disappointed in this phone system. It is a sharp looking set;however, it does not work properly. I received it yesterday and so excited to use it. Today I had two conference calls and everyone complained that they could not hear me clearly. All that was heard was static in the background. I tested it on other calls and it stunk. This VTech phone is of poor quality. Static is an issue in all calls-whether you are talking to someone on a land line, cell phone, or VoIp system. AND if you really interested in this device because of the appealing BLUETOOTH piece - don't be! The rubber ear piece does not fit properly. If you happen to wear glasses, it will pop right out of your ear at any moment so you have to hold it to your ear to talk/listen. Not the ideal experience for me.
