12.25 inches not 13, plus 8 updates...
Received this mattress 2 days ago. Box was tiny compared to what we were expecting. Instructions on opening it up were clear. Based on previous reviews of some kind of smell with some of these mattresses, we opened the mattress in a guest bedroom and put the ceiling fan on to air it out while running an exhaust fan to vent the air outside from an adjacent room and 48 hours later, there is still a faint odor. This mattress was manufactured in China and based on past news about toxic chemicals in consumer products due to corruption, this is now a real concern for us. If we had known it was mfg'd in China we would likely have thought twice about ordering it. We have not yet slept on the mattress as we are waiting for the chemicals to disperse before sleeping on it. There is no foam encasing on the edges so you can feel the springs through the sides below the thick topper. Also, after 48 hours with no encumbrances of any kind, the mattress has expanded fully, however the total thickness is 12.25 inches at the maximum and definitely NOT in any possible measurement the advertised 13 inch total thickness.
We will update this review with more information once the chemicals dissipate enough to use it safely. Currently a 2-star review...
UPDATED: It has now been 72 hours and the thickness of the mattress is exactly the same, just a hair over 12 inches (about 12.25 at the most if you measure to the tippity top of the cover, excluding the embroidery indents). If you measure to just the top of the cover including the indents it is right at 12 inches in thickness. Again, no way this is a 13" thick mattress. For those who are interested, we tried to count the coils: there are about 29 lengthwise by 21 across which is equal to 609 springs total if we are counting correctly. The smell is now just about non-existent, and we hope this means the chemicals have dispersed. We've done some more research and it looks like the chemical off-gassing is a problem for all foam mattresses for up to the first 20 days or so with most of it dissipating within the first 3 to 5 days.(See information at sleeplikethedead dot com).
Based on this, we are upgrading this to a 3-star review. Will post again in a couple of weeks after we've slept on it.
UPDATE #2: It has now been a full 7 days during which the mattress has aired out. We can detect no odor whatsoever. The total thickness remains around 12 inches which is an inch short of what was advertised at 13 inches. This past evening, we covered it with a high quality mattress protector from leggett and platt, added bedding and slept on it for the first time. We're happy to report that it felt comfortable. It's not firm and it's not soft. We'd call it about a medium firmness. Sitting at the edge of the mattress, dangling your legs down, there is some downward sag likely because it is constructed without a border casing, but this immediately disappears once you move away from the edge.
Based on all of these factors, we are upgrading our review of this 13" (actually 12") Deluxe Euro Box Top Mattress by Night Therapy to 4-stars.
UPDATE #3: We purchased another of these mattresses for another queen bed and after unpacking and letting the bed expand for several days, the thickness is the same as the first which is to say definitely a 12" thick mattress when measured at it's absolute maximum thickness. No way by any stretch of the imagination can it be measured at 13 inches, so therefore the name of this product does not match the product itself. As this is the second mattress for which this is the case, it seems odd that none of the other customers reviews here mention this difference (in the advertised versus the actual thickness of the mattress). This mattress has the same chemical odor as the first and is similarly situated to air out for now before it is put to any use at all. About 10 days is really all that is required for it to air out completely. We've slept on the first mattress for over a week now to try it out and based on overall comfort and quality we are keeping this at a 4-star rating in our opinion.
Finally, the cost at a bit over $350 USD delivered to our doorstep was a significant savings over local retailer and mattress outlets for mattresses of comparable quality. Overall we are satisfied with this purchase.
UPDATE #4, 6-MONTH TRIAL: Today is August 11, 2013 and we are happy to report there is no sagging or dips of any kind for the mattress we use regularly; and we are two average weight and height. Immediately after getting off of the mattress, we can see where the top foam layer has been indented, but that dissipates within a matter of minutes. The guest room mattress has been used only sporadically, and there is no sagging there either. Further, we've had family stay with us and they've said the bed was comfortable for them as well. They are really tall, heavier than us and are usually pretty blunt, so we trust their assessment.
Based on this 6-month experience, we're upgrading this to a 5-star review.
UPDATE #5, 1-YEAR TRIAL: Today is February 26, 2014 and we've slept on one of the mattresses for approximately 1 year. I am happy to report we are just as satisfied with it as we were with it at the 6-MONTH mark. Immediately after getting off of the mattress, we can see where the top foam layer has been indented, but that dissipates within a matter of minutes. The guest room mattress has been used only sporadically, and there is no sagging there either. Further, we've had other guests stay with us over the winter holidays and one of them who is very tall & well sized said he thought it was a bit too firm, but that he is used to the cushy smushy topper he has on his own bed at home. He is a stomach sleeper as well so that could be a contributing factor to the too-firm opinion. Other than this guest, all our other guests have enjoyed the mattress and found it as restful as a posh hotel mattress.
Overall I think this mattress delivers the same quality over time as mattress priced for twice as much or more. Would continue to recommend the product.
UPDATE #6, 2-YEAR, 6-MONTH TRIAL : Today is November 28th 2015 so that would put us at a year and 9 months on the mattress we use daily, and we find that it has the same great performance as on the day it arrived. On December 7th 2014 (last year) we ordered the Sleep Joy 2" ViscO2 Ventilated Memory Foam Mattress Topper, Queen Size so the mattress would feel a bit softer as we are both side sleepers and wanted our shoulders to sink in a bit more for a softer feel. That topper is about a year old now and feels the same as on the first night we used it with the mattress. Under a fitted sheet, there is an easily washable mattress cover over the mattress-plus-topper to keep everything clean and so that we cannot feel the topper as separate from the mattress along the edge when sitting there. We expect more guests over the holidays for the guest mattress which does not have the topper so it may be a bit firm for stomach or side sleepers. Back sleepers are very comfortable on the mattress.
Overall we think this mattress delivers the same quality over time as mattress priced for twice as much or more. Would continue to recommend the product.
UPDATE #7, 3-YEAR TRIAL: Today is March 13th 2016 so we're past the 2 year mark. We continue to find our mattress very comfortable. We had guests over the holidays, and again we were told by a visiting couple they had a very comfortable sleep. One of them was shorter than average height/weight and the other was taller than average height.
Overall we think this mattress delivers the same quality over time as mattress priced for twice as much or more. Would continue to recommend the product.
UPDATE #8, 3-YEAR, 3-MONTH TRIAL: Today is May 18, 2016 so we are now at 3 Years 3 months. (We had originally noted the time lapsed on update six at 18 months even though it was dated November 2015 which was 30 months after we purchased the mattress; we just corrected it. Regret the error.) The mattress used daily continues to be very comfortable and has a topper for a smushier feel for our shoulders. The other guest room mattress is extremely comfortable per our last guests but both of these folks are very easy going and complimentary in general so we take that comment with a grain of salt. We are considering getting the same topper we have for the primary sleeping mattress (Sleep Joy 2" ViscO2 Ventilated Memory Foam Mattress Topper, Queen Size) for the guest room. We likely will do so a few weeks before our next guests arrive so that the guest mattress is softer for stomach and side sleepers and makes it therefore a tad less comfortable for back sleepers as it would be mushier. Again, this is just a preference on our part.
Overall we continue to rate this a 5-star product because of its outstanding performance for our household over a significant period of over 3 years.

Love it! Just got rid of my king size ...
Love it! Just got rid of my king size temperpedic, downsizing to this one and I like this one so much more! A lot of people say the bed is too firm, I like a firm bed , but have slept on much firmer than this one! The bed is packaged, very snugly, in a heavy, clear, plastic overwrap and then in an even heavier, white, plastic "bag" with drawstring- all of this inserted into a box that belies the size of the contents, within! It was a bit of a booger getting the mattress from the box, due to its weight and general cumbersomeness. The plastic, I cut, VERY carefully, with scissors- as this was not something that could be easily ripped. Dirt or moisture would find it near impossible to reach the actual mattress. ( I have a sneaking suspicion, that ALL mattresses are shipped this way. Furniture stores just remove them from the packaging before tacking on the extra $$$!) The cover is very, very plush and thick- like most higher end beds. It took almost no time to reach its full 13 inches, which is a little too thick for me- but that's my bad! I picked up NO noxious odors and I have an uber sensitive sense of smell! The price is great, the packaging is great, everyone who sleeps on it thinks it's great, it looks great and feels great, so......It's GREAT! Highly recommend!!!

we sleep soooo much better now. No more back aches
My wife was having back problems on our very expensive mattress we've had for years, I read the reviews on this one and thought I'd give it a try and if nothing else could use it as a guest room bed. What a surprise, we sleep soooo much better now. No more back aches, we sleep soundly and deep. It does take some getting use to and the mattress will 'soften' after a month or so, but, I am so thankful for the reviews that I thought I'd write this one and give it 5 stars, I'd buy another any day....

Five star? Three star? Depends.........
We purchased 2 of these on 2DayDeliver which were delivered towards the last days of January by the seller. Since our driveway was near impassable for FedEx, the mattresses rode around in my car with me for almost 2 weeks before we opened the boxes and let them expand. I mention this, as I'm not sure if exposure to well-below-freezing temperatures had any effect on them.
Disclosure: my 4 star review is a combo of my 3 star and my husbands 5 star opinion of this mattress. Depending on your size and sleep habits, you may find this to be fantastic or just OK.
Husband: 210 pounds-lean but with a so-called beer belly. Sleeps like there are ants crawling on him...toss, turn, kick, fling arms and legs....a real joy (not) to sleep with (you were wondering why we got separate beds, weren't you?) Hubby loves this bed, and won't even take off a star for the fact that it only inflated to about 11.5 inches. He says it's very firm, but not rock-like. It gives to his nightly antics.
Me: 300 pounds, evenly disbursed :( Sleep like a rock. Might move once the whole night. I immediately removed one star for the height of this mattress. Functionality aside, I think a product should do or be what it claims to. This is no where near 13 inches. Not knowing if the temps it was kept at affected this, I only took off one star. I don't find this as firm as my husband does, possible because of my weight, but it sags when you sit on the edge to get in or out. While laying down, it does not sag (yet....it's been about 6 weeks of use now) but there is give in the coils. I can't feel them in my back, yet I can tell they are there. On a recent visit to my sister, I slept on a mattress she purchased for about the same money from a street vendor....a mattress I consider firm and am making the comparison to. I would call this night therapy a medium firm and was expecting a firm.
Will update as time progresses, as a mattress' quality includes durability. Meanwhile, I can't imagine that anyone would not at least find this a good value for the price and a good portion of the normal-weight population should be thrilled.

I have been looking at this mattress for months now not sure if I should order it or not. Not one to buy something without trying it first- especially a mattress. I took the chance and ordered it based on the really good reviews I've read. I am aware that there is no product out there that will have all 5 star reviews however this mattress for the most part has really good reviews. The mattress came in a very heavy large box- did have some damage to the box but nothing other than tears that ended up leaving a very small black mark on the mattress where the box was torn open. Nothing that is noticeable or that caused damage to warrant return of the mattress. We went ahead and unpacked the mattress that afternoon and by that night were sleeping on it.
Because the mattress that was replaced was really soft and dipped in the middle ( I kindly referred to it as "our personal crevasse") this mattress initially felt very firm. It does have a foam topper but not very thick and initially we slept on the new mattress as it was. I did have a foam topper (3-4") that I had on my old mattress that I have now put on this mattress and feel that now the mattress is perfect! I sleep so well and really am glad that we made the choice to try this mattress. For the money spent I say we got ourselves a great deal! I now wake up and have no back pain, am able to get out of bed without having to first walk off lower back pain. I would most definitely recommend this mattress to a friend. As a matter of fact my mother will be buying one as well.

This product took longer than originally stated to arrive- in tracking the package it sure took some circuitous route through California before making it to Washington. I also wanted to allow a few weeks of use before reviewing. I am totally impressed with this mattress. I replaced a Sealy Mattress purchased 4 years ago that had an additional 3" memory foam pad and I never could get quite comfortable. The bottom line, I have slept great on this mattress for the past month. It is firm but has enough softness that my bony hips and shoulders haven't been the least bit stiff or sore.
The numerous reviews of this product helped me take a chance on this and the price was GREAT.

Too good, yet somehow true.
Review written nearly 5 months after purchase of the King Size:
This is an excellent mattress.
It comes impossibly compressed in a tiny, heavy box. The box clearly states care should be taken when unpacking so as not to violently have snapping wires that keep the mattress rolled up. Once unpacked, the mattress will have a certain factory smell that is easily removed by simply letting it sit to air out for a day.
Overall, it is very firm (which I personally like), but the euro top is still soft enough to be very comfortable.
I sleep very well on this mattress, and in the morning easily jump out and start my day.
5 months in, it has remained as firm and comfy as the first day. The springs have proven very reliable.
I have stood on it several times to adjust curtains and the like, and of course slept on it (170-180 lbs) for 5 months and in no place has this mattress sagged even the slightest. Springs are fantastic, and even the euro top is completely resilient to pressure from my body weight, despite my terrible habit of always sleeping to the same side.
I cannot recommend this mattress wholeheartedly enough. Although it is not my favorite mattress I have ever owned, it is a close second and for the current list price of $399, it cannot be beat. It easily outperforms mattresses several times the price.

Very Comfortable and Affordable Mattress
I just received this mattress today and it has expanded for about 5 hours now. I just went and layed down on it for a few seconds just to see how it felt and WOW! This thing is super comfy and very well priced. It's firm but yet really soft...it feels perfect. I literally smiled and let out a sigh of comfort when I layed on it. I can't say anything about longevity but as in initial quality, it's awesome. It's heavy. Would recommend to anyone looking for a medium firm mattress. I'm thrilled with my purchase:)

I did a lot of online research prior to purchasing this mattress and for the money this mattress is a good value. The mattress comes compressed in a box once opened it easilyopens up. You can use it right away but I would recommend waiting 24 hours before sleeping on it. I have been sleeping on this mattress for about a month now and am very happy with my purchase. I have noticed is my low back pain is now gone . This mattress is firm so if you want a soft cushy sleep surface this mattress is not for you. overall for the money and ease of set up,and the fact I am sleeping better, I give it a 5 stars

Good quality, firm bed
This was for my 2yr old daughter. She loves it. So does my 4yr old. Actually, my wife even sleeps on it with both of them crowded into a full and she loves it too. The bed is pretty firm and because of that I don't care for it. We've had the bed for a few months and the quality is pretty good. The sides are pretty sturdy too. I'm not sure how it would do with an adult every night, but it takes kids just fine and like I said, my wife has sleepovers with them on this mattress. No signs of wear.
