Best purchase for a beginner!
It took three times for me to get the right guitar (quality wise) but I love it now that I have a good one. Some were shady, bad paint jobs, one was stuffed with orange stained Chinese newspaper (what the heck? haha).
Yes, the strings are dirty looking on all of them, so I highly recommend changing them out.
I do like it and have used it for maybe half a year now off and on. Best purchase for a beginner!
I did write a review a long time ago when I first got it, with pictures showing all my issues, but it was either never accepted or they deleted it. That seems sketchy and I don't appreciate it because this is an honest review!

This guitar is cheap and flimsy—it feels and plays like a toy. The metal of the frets are not flush with the neck, so they catch on your hand while moving up and down. There are also dead spots where you get no sound.

Delivered in a good condition
Delivery time was quite good. The packaging was neat. The guitar is good looks beautiful with the mahagony finish.Only issue that it requires tuning a lot . However that can be expected from non expensive guitars.

I am a beginner to guitars, and at my age 60+, I wanted something that would be easy to learn on and maybe keep for exercise of my fingers, to ward off arthritis. It is a delightful instrument and sounds quite nice to me. I am happy with it and the price was right.

Going to strip paint off to see if it vibrates better.
Kinda dead sounding. Going to strip paint off to see if it vibrates better.

As Good As It Gets For The $
I own or have owned Yamaha, Washburn Fender and Stagg guitars to name a few (and a few others I can't recall right now) and I firmly believe for the money Stagg is as good as they get for the money. This is my third Stagg - gave one as a gift and kept one for backup. I do replace the strings with larger diameter strings as that's what I prefer. Even had my local guitar store install an internal pickup for use on my amplifier on the one I use in performances.
