Good hose, badly overpriced
The hose I received came with a twist/kink that seemed to have permanently weakened the wall of the hose, such that it was prone to kinking at that location. I returned it. I'm sure this problem is uncommon, so I only deducted 1 star for the defect. A second star is deducted because the hose is significantly overpriced. At the time of writing this review, the 50ft version of the same Briggs & Stratton hose is actually available on 2DayDeliver for cheaper than this 25ft version. I ended up purchasing a virtually identical Craftsman hose for less than half the price.
On the plus side, other than the defect in the hose I received, the product appears to be of very high quality. The rubber is nice and thick, reasonably flexible but not prone to kinking, and the nickel-plated brass hardware is quite solid. Overall, I would recommend this hose, though not at the currently listed price.

If you want mechanic hands buy this hose
Hose is easy to wind and lightweight given the size. Fittings seem to be good quality. However, as others have mentioned, leaves thick black residue on your hands when handling. It doesn't just rinse off you have to really scrub your hands. Hopefully will wear off over time but to me its not really acceptable. Manufacturer should fix this.

A good quality garden hose that is rated to drain a water heater. The hose does kink up rather easily, There was an oily residue on the hose when shipped, my guess to preserve the rubber while sitting in a warehouse waiting to be sold. You will have to clean this off.
The fittings appear to be "top-notch" in quality. You must save the UPC stamp for the warranty.

I don't know if any hose will last a lifetime but this is a really good one. Another reviewer complained about black residue on his hands after using it. My husband said the same thing but I haven't had the problem. Maybe it's a guy thing..... I like black, except it will get HOT in the sun so be careful if you use a nozzle that keeps the hose charged and it lays out. My yard is visible from nearby neighbors and it doesn't show when laying in the lawn like the typical green ones. I use it on my hose reel and it does not kink or mess up like so many hoses. I have left it on with a nozzle and even with my generous water pressure, it has stood up fine. It is a little heavy, which is probably why it will stand up over time.

Sturdy, flexible, no kinks, but heavy
I got sick of non-kinking hoses that kink anyway, get flattened on a hose reel, and have to be untangled and unkinked periodically. So I opted for an old-fashioned rubber hose. This is it. It's very sturdy, doesn't kink, and does not get flattened by its own weight on the hose reel, so I don't have to deal with a hose that suddenly stops flowing, and leaves me with a tangled, kinked mess to sort out. And wherever you put it, there it stays. It doesn't flop around when you turn on the water. It is heavy to haul around. But, I can live with that.

Excellent Hose. Fittings are great, does not kink too easily, but it is possible. It has a good solid feel to it. Very easy to coil it up to store. Shipping was fast, Price was good. I only wish that The money that I have spent on all the other synthetic garbage had been spent on these hoses. Will purchase more, and will recommend to friends.

Best hose system I have ever owned......we will see for sure after a few years?
Absolutely the most durable and lightweight hose I have ever owned!! I needed a 75 footer, but didn’t want to wait longer for this apparent oddball size.....so I ordered a 50 footer + a 25 footer. Arrived same day. Some people were concerned about the weight or some black substance rubbing off on their hands?? Not true...at least for me. I keep remembering the agony of dragging around the old heavy and kinking vinyl hose, and wish I had an opportunity to buy this hose system sooner. Even my old “water powered†Suncast hose rewinder pulls this back in with no effort. Is it possible to fall in love with a hose......?

nice thick hose
Nice thick hose. Thicker means more water pressure at the spraying end. This 25 foot length was just a bit too short for some spots so I had to buy a 50-foot one instead, but I'll still use this 25 foot one from another outlet for some closeup spots.
Hasn't kinked yet, even though I have mistreated it and left it out, all tangled up.

In my opinion this is the best hose on the market for the price. 75 foot hose for around 50 bucks the 100 footer is 120.00. What ? Why? I wanted the 100 footer but for that money. Not happening! Not kink free or as tough as the never kink line of hoses but will last forever. great backyard hose.

Nice thick hose
Nice thick hose, giving more water pressure than thinner hoses. I tried the 25 foot length but it was just a bit too short for some spots, so I had to go for the 50 foot instead. It hasn't kinked yet, and I haven't been treating it too kindly, leaving it out and tangled; but still it hasn't kinked, which is great.
