Not so sure on the accuracy on this
Not so sure on the accuracy on this. I did not have another tool to compare but i got some majorly different readings from same locations by turning it of and taking another reading in same location.an spreading readings out across a floor forget it, it was all over the place, I could see if it was a reasonable difference but these were drastically different.
So i say take it for what its worth look at the price and say am i really getting what i am expecting, your probably not. it will probably will be like a general use / estimated guess type deal.Bit it does have a nice case and extra pins so there was meaning behind it. For me i think it will sit around more than ill use it.Price was reasonable, if you getting semi accurate readings comparing it to another unit then i think you got your moneys worth.

Good features/price balance.
Quality construction is ok for the price. It's made out of hard plastic with short metal probes in the back. At first I thought they were too short, but they ended up working just fine when you press the device hard against the wood. Extra probes are also included, along with a 9-volt battery.
Unfortunately, I can't check its accuracy as I don't have another meter readily available to make a comparison. As far as I know, it doesn't allow calibration, but that makes sense as meters with that feature are substantially more expensive. It has a low battery warning and the screen is big and easily readable.
It comes with a case and it's fairly portable, so you can just toss it in your toolbox without taking up much space. See the pictures I have included for size comparison with a coin.
In summary, good construction, good performance and features at a reasonable price.

It's OK, but I did not get consistent enough readings for my hardwood floors to know if it it was ready for installation. It is very difficult to get consistent penetration of the pins in hard wood to get a consistent reading. Although the manual clearly stated which setting to use for the Oak hardwood, it doesn't have enough information to understand what are the appropriate settings for the subfloor.
Might be OK for firewood or for finding a water leak, but it did not help with my flooring installation.

Shows the Wet
Bought to help figure out where our mystery leaks were coming from on our house and for future inevitable flooding in our rentals. It is easy to use and helped us to narrow down the current mystery leak source from an entire backside of the house to a much narrower area above a door. I saw a tech using a similar device in one of our rental condos when the toilet overflowed. We were concerned about how much water was in the drywall in that case. My new device works just as well for the same thing as well as on ordinary house siding. I can't advise to its accuracy, but to get a general idea of wetness behind a wall it is indispensable.

Good meter, appears no question support, slightly prefer a competitor brand for same money.
Good moisture meter for the price.
my issues are:
1) I had questions about the modes, and which to use for non-wood surfaces (like concrete), that I could not get answered, inspite of following the seller question process - they never responded.
2) For similar price, the General Instrument brand entry level moisture is slightly nicer (beeps and lights up as low, medium and high), which really helps when your testing a lot of areas, because you don't have to carefully look at the actual reading as much.
Other than that, it's an accurate, functional meter.

I have been using it daily on my bowl turning and other boards as I air dry my lumber. I don't like the plastic housing as the instructions say to puthe the metal probes into the wood 1/4"...This is difficult to do in hardwoods.. So as I
am turning take readings and as I microwave the bowls to get the moisture out.

I love this meter.....it is very accurate and has helped me keep away from buying guide firewood from people who say their wood is seasoned for 2 or more years.....I have been duped a few times, and now I feel great having this meter.....I take it with me everytime I go buy wood and it will let me know if there is too much moisture or just right under 20 percent....

Cheap and seems to work well.
As I have no standard to compare it too, I can't tell you it's accurate, but the measurements are generally repeatable. I had a seriously expensive one about 10 years ago - I forgot who made it.. but it was around $300 which I used for guitar woods. This one is definitely more compact, and as full function.. so (hoping?) it's accurate I say it's a great deal.

Unit stays ON if not turned off, otherwise good value.
Seems to work fine BUT One thing that is poorly designed is the unit can easily be turned ON inside or outside the case unbeknownst to the user and will run down the 9V battery if left unchecked. The ON button is easily depressed and the unit does NOT turn off automatically. I confirmed this with an old battery i had to be sure of what was happening. However, the battery is easily removed and fits nicely in the case so not a deal breaker for me. If i had to have it in my pocket all the time, well that maybe another story. Could easily modify the battery lead with a micro switch or maybe protect the on button with something preventing unwanted activation.

Not so good at the low end of the moisture scale.
Like others have said if the moisture content is low it's not very accurate. For wet lumber and firewood this will probably be great. It did not even read the moisture of my hardwood flooring I was putting in. There's a reason the pro versions are $400 so can't get to upset for $30.
