Very nice medium-sized EDC
A solid EDC, with nice weight and build. There is zero blade play, the locking mechanism works perfectly, and assisted open is crisp with a good sized 'flipper'.
The overall length is on par with medium EDC knives, but the blade shape makes it seem much more substantial. In fact, it seems a bit bulky, but that's due to my preference towards more compact EDCs. The clip is small but sturdy, so this knife sits more discretely in your pocket than you might guess.
The booklet it came with states that Kerahaw will sharpen and return your knives at their North Weatern facility - I won't utilize that, but a nice touch.

Great knife for EDC
As far as the knife goes its a great knife and feels good in the hand and opens smooth. The frame lock is a bit tight but I guess I shouldn't complain about something that's keeping the knife open doing its job too well. Its not my favorite but I would have no issues using this as an EDC though I prefer the knives with wave opening for EDC. Kershaw knives are great and now it seems even better! All of the knives Ive purchased previously had the issue where they would fall apart because the screws would back out. If you've owned enough knives its just something you come to accept and deal with by removing all the screws and adding Loctite to them. So as par for the course I pull the knife out of the box and start removing the screws and to my surprise they've already been treated with blue Loctite. I removed the rest "just in case" but it was unnecessary. I also received the CQC 4KXL in the same order and it had been done as well. So just a heads up to anyone who does this its really unnecessary now unless you feel that the factory Loctite is inadequate.

Another Christmas gift hit
Gave these out as Christmas gifts last year and as usual, they were a big hit. Typically I like to pass out CRKT or Kershaw knives as gifts because you can get pretty decent quality for a very reasonable price, and even downright LOW price if on sale. This knife doesn't disappoint. There are 2 potential cons to this knife. One is that the clip is non removable, so it is fixed where it is and you cannot move it to change the method of carry (I carry both tip up and tip down so it doesn't matter to me, although I do prefer tip down more). The other con is the size of the handle on this knife. It's pretty large and bulky so if that's not your thing, like it's not mine, you may view this as a con. Due to these 2 things being less than desirable for me personally, I had to dock a star off my rating, but it's still a great value.

Top shelf folding knife! Highly recommend!
Wow, what a knife for $14!! It's a sweet knife and is a streal at this price! A tad heavy as it is an all metal knife, but the quality is there so it makes it should stand up to abuse and be fine! Nice texture grip for a substantial hold for a pocket folding knife and attractive so nice to hold and maneuver, however the handle is a bit short for leveraging any heavy pressure applications, which you aren't supposed to with a folding knife anyway. But you know how it is in a pinch, it will make the grade caution applied.
Easy open with one hand, a careful close with one hand can be done. perhaps it opens a little too easy, but it hasn't opened in my pocket yet. You could use the clip, I don't, the lever lends itself to easy open when not restricted. Very sharp and nice finishes! You won't be disappointed. I'll be looking at Kershaw for more of my needs going forward.

This is a beautiful knife.
I think this is Kershaw's best looking knife. The grip is very comfortable and fits my hand perfectly. The knife is bigger than I thought it would be but it's the perfect size. I love the beefy blade. I only have one complaint with the knife. The liner lock doesn't have strong tension and doesn't make contact with the end of the blade as it should. With the lock not making positive contact with the blade then the lock should be springing all the way across the handle opening but it doesn't since the line lock tension is weak like i stated before. I have requested a replacement. I'm really hoping this is a fluke since I love this knifes style and feel.
The replacement has come in and it is much better than the first one. The blade locks properly on the new one.

The other took just a half dozen passes on a fine hard stone to get to shaving sharp
I purchased two of these knives. One for myself and one for my Dad. First impressions are very favorable. These are the X version which comes in a clamshell plastic packaging. No box. One knife was shaving sharp. The other took just a half dozen passes on a fine hard stone to get to shaving sharp. The action is smooth and fairly fast and lockup is positive. Great ergonomics and I like the K-texture handles. It's true some may find them to be a little bulky for EDC but that wasn't my intent. I was looking for a folding knife for big game hunting. The blade design should work well for gutting and skinning. All in all this knife is tough to beat at 17.05.

It was pretty sharp out of the box but I touched it ...
I bought this as a gift. It was pretty sharp out of the box but I touched it up a little. 2 strokes on my sharpener and now it shaves just like a straight edge razor. It closes easily and everything is nice and in line. It is a little beefier than my EDC but I'm going to buy me one. Great to keep in the truck as a tool. For the price? This knife can't be beat.

Pitbull, short tail and all.
This knife is a brick of steel and polymer. The blade is like the pitbull of the line, its short, fat and stocky. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I own 35 Kershaw's and this is the only one thats hard to close, it seems there is not enough liner material to get a good purchase on to close it. other than that, I'd buy it again.

Good quality at an even better price
I've had it for six months now, and this thing is great. It was a little stiff at first, but it smoothed out by the end of the week. The grip is excellent, and there's no blade play. The stonewash looks fantastic. It's a pretty thick knife that I bought for tougher jobs that might break my finer knife. My only complaint is the belt clip. It's either super aggressive or too loose to hold on securely.
