Perfect shape/design for functionality
Love the color/shape/design of these hooks. Easy for little kids and adults to hang things on lower hook without getting caught on the upper hook. Nice to have a double hook for a variety of items (coats, sweatshirts, snow pants, scarves, hats, mittens (perfect on the upper hook), caps, belts, backpacks, purses, bags of returns to be done, etc.). We have double closets in the mud room but for some reason building this coat rack was what made it more practical/functional with little kids at home. It was the first project we did when moving in. The color blends with all the satin nickel accents in the house- these have a slight weathered look which is actually nice given the function of the hooks (they'd likely get some scuffs being in the mud room anyway). The screws are a bit cheap but if you use the right size screw driver they're fine (if it's too narrow of a Philips end you'll likely strip the head of the screw). The rounded area at the top of the upper hook was a little off/not symmetrical (sort of looked dented on one side) on a couple but it really isn't enough to notice when there are so many hooks and when things are hanging on the hooks.
There are multiple ways to make a built-in coat rack but if you're wondering what we did here it is: Screwed the wood to the wall first (where studs are), then filled the dent on top of the sunken screw, primed, pre-drilled all the holes for the hooks, caulked edges (so moisture doesn't get caught behind), painted (Sherwin Williams Pro-Classic semi gloss), then mounted the hooks. Used wood 3/4 inch deep, 7 1/4 inches wide and cut it to the length of the wall (about 8 1/2 ft.). Mounted the hooks so the spacing on the top & bottom was equal (did not center based on where the screw area is). With the width of the room & functionality we found that spacing the hooks about 8 inches apart (measuring center of hook to center of hook) works well for our space. Measuring form the bottom of the wood: the lower rack is about 34 inches from the floor and the upper rack is about 72 inches from the floor (the bottom of each hook is about 1 1/4 inch higher). They survived the first winter of use and still look like they did when we first did the project.

Sturdy and Stylish
Great, sturdy hooks. I use one for my large over-the-ear headphones and another in a closet where I hang my backpack and small shoulder bag. I recommend you attach these hooks to wall studs.

I liked these at first, a lot actually. Very sturdy and heavy. But they scratched within a few days. I have them holding my kids backpacks, they look like I've been using them for years after only a couple of weeks.

nice, but big
they're so nice, but much bigger than I thought - I should've read the description and measured - still love them though

Love the final product
Well made hooks. Solid construction. Used four of them on an old wooden oar to make a clothes rack for a bedroom. Love the final product.
