I can't believe I'm writing a diaper review.......
Well, I have finally reached that stage in my life where I find myself writing diaper reviews.....if you are reading this you must be at that stage in your life too. Congratulations! We have twins so buying bulk diapers on the cheap is critical. It's also critical for us that the diapers work well and we don't have dual drippy, ooozy, horrible messes ambling around our house!!! These diapers work the best for us, they seem to fit our kids butts well and they hold an amazing amount of you know what, which is also important because with two of them we can't always get there immediately! The blue line wetness indicator is great, but if you take a lot of family pictures you'll look back and wish you had given your kids fresh diapers before the pictures because the blue line is a dead giveaway that your kid needed changing and you have documented it in the photo!
I try to make my reviews engaging and useful. Please click helpful if you thought this review was worthwhile. Thanks!

Yucky white gel residue
I've purchased a lot of different types and brands of diapers with both kids. My fave are eco-friendly disposables, but my income does not allow to always have them. My 4 yo used mostly Swaddlers and Baby Dry when she was little. My 1 yo has been through various brands and recently Huggies. I remember when my 4 yo was a baby, the ilittle white gel beads/residue or as some call it, white lint, was an issue in reviews that I read of Swaddlers (I think the residue is the absorbent material in the diaper - if you squeeze a wet Swaddler, you'll notice it moves around like there is gel inside). I think I personally saw it on my now 4 yo a couple times with use of Swaddlers, but I don't recall there being a lot when it did occur. I purchased the amazing $0.13/diaper for size 5 deal last month and have opened 1 box. We've probably gone through 15 diapers. Most are leaving the gel/white lint residue every time he wets the diaper. And there is A LOT of residue. It worries me, so I'm returning all the boxes. Sad to let go of the deal. But peace of mind is worth it.

I am not sure if these are knock off diapers or if I got a bad box. Every time my son pees, he ends up with white lint in his diaper area. I thought maybe it was because the diaper was too full, but it happens every time. We have not used swaddlers in quite some time, but there is a difference between these and the diapers bought in-store. I absolutely will not purchase this again. And I probably won't finish using this box on my son.

We've changed the sheets four times this week already!
I don't know what's happened with Pampers Swaddlers. Initially these diapers were working so well, so they were all we bought. They used to keep from overnight leak and the quality was good so that we did automatic deliveries. The past few months, disaster. We've never had to change the sheets overnight this much, ever! We've taken to getting him up in the middle of the night to change him to ensure the sheets are not soaked in the morning, and have to change them yet again. Prior to this we were fine overnight, no issues or wetness on the sheets. This is insane. No fun washing down a soaked baby in the middle of the night. We are now looking for another diaper that will work as well as the Swaddlers used to. The quality has gone down tremendously - they are thinner and are not the same. We've discontinued our delivery service and have returned the last box.

Baby Dry are still our favorite! Swaddlers are great for daytime!
The deals available on both Swaddlers & Cruisers through 2DayDeliver Warehouse deals are worth trying if you have time - they don't always arrive when expected (from warehouse deals).
Our kids have always been "save it up & go all at once" kinds of kids. Which mean Huggies will NEVER work, LUVS work during the day only and we can use nothing but Baby Dry at night.
We got these and LOVE them during the day, but nighttime require frequent changes. Since about 10mos of age (youngest is currently 19mos) we've not been able to use anything but Baby Dry at night without leaks. The swaddlers are great during the day but if they look like they are even slightly full or sagging, they require changing immediately!
At night these definitely required changes more often. Since our goal is to SLEEP - we definitely still prefer the Baby Dry as our ultimate diaper! That said, Swaddlers are a great daytime choice especially for the more active baby. As Cruisers share the same thin-liner - we've had fairly comparable performance from both.
If you have a child that consistently leaks through due to going all at once (or you may be growing out of the current size if your lil one is close to the weight limit at all...) we have found that Pampers Baby Dry are the definite diaper to stick with for overnights!
Note: we have an older preschooler on the Spectrum - the ONLY products that do not leak for us are Baby Dry diapers or Pampers Easy-Ups. Don't waste your $ or time on any other brand - just watch 2DayDeliver for sales or Warehouse Deals for damaged packaging! Every time we've tried another brand we've regretted it and gone back because it's better to pay slightly more for a product that lasts!!!) LUVS are made by the same company so they work well as daytime diapers, but for nighttime NOTHING beats the Pampers Baby Dry line!

Great Buy, great quality
I'm not sure I understand how reviews are believing that these are "knock off" Pampers diapers, sold by 2DayDeliver. I would figure that 2DayDeliver or Pampers would shut this down if it was some kind of counterfeit scheme, but I digress.
Anywho, we are a Huggies family normally but after my sister in law sent me a link to these diapers for $17/a box for a 124 count- I couldn't not buy them. That's almost 70% off, plus Prime two day shipping. I'm not sure if it was a flash sale or a glitch, but I bought four boxes and here I am. The diapers seem fine to me, and while I used to these exact Pampers when my daughter was in sizes N-2, we switched to Huggies basically because- well, Costco. If I can get it at Costco, I'm going to- so we haven't used these since the switch. They are exactly like I remember them, and are on par with the Huggies we normally buy- they actually seem less bulky than the other size 5s out there. Regarding the "chemical smell" reviews have commented about, that's pretty much the smell of all Pampers diapers- except for the free and clear ones. All I can say, is at least it's not the fake "baby powder" smell of those Luvs diapers- ew.
These shipped faster than expected, and were well packaged. They were in the original Pampers box and all bags had the Pampers rewards code on them. They work just fine and we haven't had any problems so far-

My new "go to" diaper
I was apprehensive about buying these after reading some of the reviews. Some people mentioned "crystals" coming out of the diaper and/or the diaper causing diaper rash. But I'm glad I took the risk because these diapers are good and they're cheap! I have twin 2-yr old boys so we put these to the test right away. We usually use Huggies Snug n'dry in the same size (5) but it's 50/50 if our kids make it through the night (11-12 hours) without wetting their pajamas and the bed. With the Pampers, their diapers aren't even close to being full in the mornings, even after they down a bottle of milk before bed. They are just as thin/thick as the Huggies but the Pampers fit higher on the waistline by a couple inches. Perhaps this extra material adds to the amount the diapers absorb or perhaps it's the because of the inner absorbant/material that they use. Either way, this is the better, more absorbent diaper.

Good for night if sized up.
I've never been a huge Wadler's fan, but these were on an amazing deal so I grabbed a box. I got the size 5 and they start at 27 pounds, and my son is 21 pounds. Since I sized up they last him all night. I use cloth during the day so these are just a nighttime back up when my good night time diapers have not been washed yet. The reason I wasn't a huge fan of swaddlers is because when I had newborns I always felt like their butts were sweaty, but I finally figured out that the pee will go straight through. Lesson learned by sniff test! I do like that they are soft.

I ordered these Pampers diapers when they were on sale not too long ago. The hospitals here use Pampers Swaddlers so I thought they worked well in the hospital they should be great. Well, I wasn't the biggest fan of these. These diapers were not the same quality as the diapers that were used in the hospital they were actually thinner than normal and didn't seem to hold much. I also noticed that the diapers were not as soft as normal. I would purchase these again if they were on sale, but as far as paying normal price I would rather stick to my huggies.

New Swaddlers work for me
Now that they have redesigned both the Cruisers and Swaddlers, the Cruisers have the same soft liner, but the Swaddlers fit my son better. My son has really large thighs which have forced us into the next larger size sooner than the weight ranges would suggest. The Cruisers diapers have tighter leg elastic which leave marks on my son. The Swaddlers' elastic is more forgiving and don't leave marks.
As far as blowouts go, my son has had them in every brand diaper he has ever worn. He is breastfed and his poop is more runny than a formula fed baby, even after introducing solids. The best remedy for blowouts seems to be going up a diaper size and taking the time to adjust the tabs so that you have a close but not too tight fit around the legs. Of course with an unusually large bowel movement, even that may not help! In general though, I have been the most happy with Swaddlers and that's why I continue to put them on my 28 lb 1 year old (Size 5!).
