I am very happy with this storage shed. The delivery was on time, it was delivered quickly and the shippers were friendly and professional. The following day, 3/10/17 I had it installed in the only small space it would fit as the space is quite long, but limited in width, which is one of the reasons I chose Keter Factor. The installer, who had never installed this type of shed before, was excellent. I have a very even brick backyard area in my condo, and it was suggested by Keter that I place it on treated plywood, however, the installer had another idea, he actually built a base with treated 2" X 4"s and placed the plywood on top, just to be certain there would be no water problems if it rained, and for strength and stability. It is very strong. I was concerned about the installer coming alone because I was told it takes two people. He completed it in 3 hours, including setting up stand alone shelving units that I already owned, and placing them in the storage unit. My plan at this time is to fill it with filing boxes on the shelves, and I will have other uses for it when I complete my current project. The installer was amazed at how the skylight looks like an electric light and how much light came through with both the skylight and window. I am also amazed and so pleased. I called Keter several times for information before making the purchase and they were very pleasant and helpful. Even advising me when I sent photos of the area, and letting me know the differences pros and cons of the two sheds that would fit in my area.
I have not yet placed any items in the shed, but I checked it very well because I was concerned that the installer may have taken shortcuts since he was alone and completed it so quickly (this is because of some reviews of the shed I read previously).
The roof seems very strong and I could not budge it at all. I do live in Southern California, and the area the shed is in is between my building and a very large building next door, therefore, there may be no concern about wind.
I had been looking for a shed for many months, that would fit in my uniquely shaped space and previously ordered a lean to, but chickened out when I read how difficult it was to install and how flimsy it was. I'm very happy that I made the right choice
2 Stars By Tim Davis on 2017-04-06 Product is great ... customer service sucks The item itself is great. Assembly was not an issue and it is pretty spacious.
The customer service, however, is a different story. When I received this, I was missing one part. ONE PART. That one part prevented me from completing the whole unit. Naturally, I reached out to Keter to replace the part and all they told me was that the part was on back order and warehouse is still doing inventory. I called one last time in January only to receive the same thing only they delayed the back order date (probably got tired of me asking). I asked 2DayDeliver to intervene and help me out and all of the sudden, the part was conveniently not on back order anymore and shipped that same day. In the meantime, California was hit with heavy rains early this year (yay for rain). That damaged the larger parts that I could not bring indoors because of the part delay.
I brought this back up with Keter and they tried to push the blame off of themselves. I explained in detail what happened and stated that I would ask 2DayDeliver to resolve this if we could not come to a conclusion. Fast forward a day and Keter agreed to ship my replacement parts that were damaged from the weather. As luck would have it again, they shipped the incorrect parts and quantity despite me getting my order correct. Again with the back order excuse and the item finally shipped a week and a half later. Finally, I would get those floor panels so I could finish assembling the shed. Do you know what they sent me? ANOTHER PAIR OF DOORS. I now had 4 doors and the funny thing about that is they weren't for the 8x11 either. I can understand them shipping that if I misclicked and ordered the wrong parts but, no my order was correct. Fast forward another week and a half and the correct number of parts FINALLY CAME.
I ordered this after Christmas and before the New Year ('16) and I finally got to fully assemble shed on April 4, 2017. Over 3 months and a bunch of wasted hours? This is by far one of the worst customer service I have ever had.
5 Stars By spieri104 on 2017-07-19 Great little shed Great shed! Delivery was as promised and it came in perfect condition. Easy to understand directions and everything went together perfectly - I put this together myself with no help. The hardest part was building the foundation. I had to put this in a very tight spot and only had 4-5 inches on either side when complete and because of the tight spot, I couldn't put it together and then slide it in-place. Some reviewers/answers said you needed more space but I went ahead and purchased anyway just cause i'm hard headed and what do you know - I was able to do it. As the video I hope to attach with this review shows, I just slid the shed to one side to work on opposing side's roof screws and then slid the other way for the other side. Once I had it all completed, I screwed the bottom down to my foundation and voila! I ended up forgoing the included shelf mount and purchased some 18" deep metal racks that fit perfectly inside right for storage. Highly recommend if you don't have much room but need to store stuff.
5 Stars By Sometimes I shop on 2017-11-25 Made it through 2 hurricanes! Ok so I waited a few months to post so I could post a thorough review. We bought this shed because we downsized and have zero storage for our things inside this house. It arrived without issue and my 19 year old son and his friend assembled the whole thing in one afternoon. We live in Florida and within a month we were under hurricane warnings. We just poured cement into 4 holes and secured some tie down hooks in them ( see pics). Then we used rope to hold it down during 2 hurricanes . The thing never leaked or moved at all. This was worth every penny.
1 Stars By Alexander Yavorskiy on 2018-02-18 Great idea and size I have assembled a lot of products in my life, IKEA cabinets, etc. I have learned to expect a few glitches, wrong instruction here and there and need to improvise to get the job done. Keter Factor shed included wrong hinges so, there is absolutely no way to attach the door to the unit. If you can't attach the door, you can't get the roof installed either. So, there I go, after a full day of preparing the foundation, I now have a skeleton of a shed standing that I cannot complete.
Overall, the material is very cheap and flimsy. One of the wall panels fell on the ground during the setup, folded in half and nearly broke off completely. Most parts have so much plastic overflow that you have to clean them up with a knife before they can fit together. Various "pre-drilled" holes for screws and snap on parts are covered with thin layer of plastic and need to be re-drilled. Larger parts came bent out of shape from the box and require a lot of effort to attach to each other. Great idea and size, very poor execution Keter!
2 Stars By C Mansfield on 2017-08-24 Bad roof design. Warpage while installing!!! I bought the 8x11 shed. Went together fine til we got to the roof. Bad fit. And don't try to do roof in the sun!! The sun caused the roof panels to bow and really gave us a workout trying to get the edges into the channels. Left gaps at sides at the top. Will leak. Guess I'll use some flexible caulk on gaps. They should add a corner square to cover potential gaps which I have! Cute little gutter system that won't last in downpour! I'm a Class A contractor and I won't use this product again. Going back to good ol wood and nails! I'm back to add another comment. To be fair I just want to say that the shed hasn't leaked and it's really been raining! I'm surprised but pleased.
1 Stars By Z. Stevens on 2017-11-18 Weak Weak design. It arrived damaged. The package that it arrives in is not capable of standing up to todays careless shipping companies. The door hinges are plastic and break with any force.
1 Stars By Dennis R. on 2017-12-17 Shed cannot be assembled and POOR customer service I received the shed and during assembly, I discovered that two parts (CS3) were to long to be used to assemble the shed, in compliance with the assembly pictures. I tried calling the company, but they are closed on the weekend and every time I try to submit my complaint via their website it will not permit me to do so. This is the second storage solution I have purchased from Keter via 2DayDeliver.com. The first storage shed had a failed part. I called the company (888-374-4262), because their website would not permit me to submit my need in writing. I left a voicemail explaining the shed assembly could not be completed due to a failed part provided with the purchase. It took the company 3 days to call me back. I gave them a benefit of the doubt as a one time issue, but now I am not so sure. I strongly recommend shoppers look for another vendor given the significant difficulty in receiving customer service.
4 Stars By B. Oneil on 2017-08-12 Happy with this shed We moved to a new town in December 2016, and needed a shed for garden equipment. With all the other maintenance and repairs we had to do, it sat on a delivery pallet for 6 months until I finally got around to building it. You need to be aware that it does take some slightly above average skills to assemble. There are many small parts, screws, etc. which I at first hated dealing with but as the assembly proceeded I saw how those make sense. E.g. Metal reinforcement rods in the walls and beams. I have confidence that it will hold up for years to come. I had at first considered buying a wooden kit, or having someone else build it for me, however the prices are very high for one of those. They start at about $2500 and go up from there. For $600 and some sweat equity I have a much less expensive nice-looking shed that won't need future maintenance. It holds all the garden equipment I have and then some.
5 Stars By David A. Geers on 2016-08-17 Easily put together! If you have any common sense and can follow well illustrated instructions, these at first glance flimsy individual pieces actual come together to make one study little shed. Took me about 5 hrs to assemble by myself and luckily not that much longer cause a storm blew in and low and behold, this sucker was water tight. Will it stop a large tree branch? Heck no, but it will keep your stuff dry. Just wish it didn't price drop 150 bucks a week after mine got delivered
