I was Surprised it work as good as Cable box for the HDTV
I was Surprised it work as good as Cable box for the HDTV, well worth the money and was so easy to setup, highly recommended.
Please buy this if you want cable in rooms that are not wired for cable, This does the job very nicely and without the Monthly fee for added Box. It also works well to set up wireless rear speakers for surround sound. I am very pleased with this product

Getting rid of cables is great!!
This system is the best electronic item I've purchased for a long time. I have for years run A/V cables from my living room to the bedroom plus a remote extender so I could watch my cable in bed. I dislike paying for one cable box, so no way I'm paying for a second to use an hour or so once in a while.
The Nyrius allows me to move the TV around the living room without having to re-route and hide the cable to the bedroom. The picture and sound are just as good as with the cable plus the remote extender portion of the system works much better than the one I had. I would recommend to my friends and purchase another if needed.

Not so great when passing a signal through walls
So, to start off, I must say, I do like this product, but I don't love it. The Nyrius is fantastic "Line-of-sight, (LOS)" but when even one wall separates the transmitter from the receiver, I get static. The box says 225' LOS, and while I do not have 225 feet of clear space in my house to test this out, I can tell you that about 30' LOS is doable in my house, and the video is crystal clear! But 30' behind one wall, I can see and hear the static/interference. 40' behind three walls is unusable. It is unfortunate that it doesn't work very well behind walls, as I was hoping that I could move our 15" portable color TV monitor from room to room and still watch my favorite shows that are being broadcast from the same room as the 60" wall monitor in our TV room.
The box also says you can use the remote control on the receiving device to control the transmitter. I haven't had any luck at all with the remote/receiver. It just plain does not work in my situation.
One other critique about the Nyrius is that the instructions for assembly are a little bit sparse... one page of illustrations is all you get. But to be fair to Nyrius, if you can't figure out how to set this up, you probably should not be purchasing electronic equipment in the first place.

HUGE improvement over similar devices. VERY PLEASED.
I had another set of a similar product made by a different manufacturer, RF-LINK. It too was 5.8GHz, but only worked "okay" for several years -- it was never great. It was about 15-20' from the TV in the kitchen, but it had to have a clear line of sight or there would be noise and interference. We just lived with it. But finally, the RF-LINK went bad altogether, sending the TV image into a slow vertical roll. I tried to change the channel on the transmitter, but it wouldn't change anymore, so the device itself was toast. So, seeing the positive reviews and ratings on this Nyrius, I decided to try it out.. WOW!! Like night and day. The picture is super sharp and clear and I like how the IR repeater doesn't require power like my old one did on the RF-Link. I am SUPER happy with this purchase.

Great product, our 2nd one
The 1st was so good This is our 2nd unit from another source to a different room (replaced a 2.4GHz that was driving us crazy w/CONSTANT interference) this unit also goes through 3 walls one of which is brick and the picture is SUPERB w/ZERO interference, the 4 channels allows us to use both units without any problem btwn the 2...same as our 1st review this Nyrius 5.8 GHz 4 chan wireless Audio/Video is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED set up is simple up and running within 1/2 hr and not to mention the built in remote sender is a HUGE PLUS... Our original review on the first unit we bought is here below:.......
This provides a clear, sharp picture and sound. We have it going thru 3 walls, able to change channel with remote extender with no problem. And most important, so far absolutely NO interference from microwaves, wifi routers or electronic devices and we have many... highly recommend this if you want cable in another room and are unable to run wires.

Dont pay the cable company for another box...
I had planed to purchase another set of Terk leapfrog transmitter and receiver , but thanks to an 2DayDeliver review on the product I realized that the 2.4 ghz systems where becoming obsolete due to the saturation of WIFI signals .So I deduced that it wasn't that my Terk system failed it was that my neighbor got new internet service . The Nyrius set up works perfectly at 5.8 ghz and I can even run my microwave w/o interference . and it pays for its self because the cable/satellite crooks charge upwards of $7 a month to "rent" additional units . My primary TV in the family room I use this on my kitchen TV ,the remote works a room away no issues . I have additional receivers coming for use on my patio this summer and for the work shop in my garage .Now if only the networks produce some decent programing worth watching .

Nice sound quality, but...
Sound quality is very decent, I like it. However, the 'line of sight' connection in between 2 units are pretty important. If I stand in between or walk slow enough as to break the line of sight, I hear static 8 out of 10 times.
Yes, I dunno enough what's happening behind the scene. Bottom line, when I set it up, I almost thinking of returning it, as I hear random static noise from my speakers. Then, I started to notice when I stand make a difference. Don't get me wrong, if you stand in between the transmitter and receiver, you are not going to stop the transmission. Brief moment of static will be heard and things will go back to normal. Still... this is kinda annoying, that's all.

Does a nice job
Does just what it says it will, pretty much. It gets audio and video from one TV to another wirelessly. I wouldn't count on the remote extender thing to work, so just be aware that you'll probably be limited to watching only the same channel on both TVs. For me, that's not a problem.
I'm using it to send a signal through one wall, with wood studs, to a TV in the garage that sits about 10 feet away. For me, aiming the transmitter and receiver antennas toward each other hasn't really even been necessary. Probably because they're physically pretty close to each other.
Also, no high def picture on the receiving TV, but I knew that going in. If you need high def, you'll need to spend a couple hundred bucks on one that has HDMI capability. I'd definitely recommend it for what it is.

Was great until it stopped working
When I first bought it worked like a charm out of the box., however, the first time my 2-year-old moved the antenna it stopped working for a day. I got it working again only to have it go out 2 more times and this last time I have not been able to it to work, its been out over a week.
Like i said when it works it works great no lag picture and sound quality were great, and the remote extender worked well
Would be 5 stars if it still worked

Best thing since sliced bread!
This setup is the cats rear end... In a great way. Plug and play...and the reception and remote extender is perfect. We are currently going thru a major remodel and had to live in our fifth wheel camper for almost a month. We were transmitting 100+' from a satellite receiver upstairs in our bedroom. That means the signal had to penetrate 2 interior walls, an exterior wall, go 100' and penetrate an aluminum akinned camper wall. The picture and sound were as good as if we were plugged directly into the receiver itself.
We have now partially moved back into the house and are using it in our "temp" LR and still perfect.
This is probably one of the best buys I ever made. Never again will I have to pull cable if my wife decides to rearrange the house. Score one for me!
