Good microwave oven I like it
I like this microwave oven. It is attractive, just the right size and works very well. My old Sharp microwave oven was dying after 20 years of reliable use. I would have replaced it with another Sharp microwave of the same size, but the engineers in their wisdom have designed the new Sharp ovens to not turn on the light when you open the door. Only comes on when it is cooking! This move is just stupid in my opinion. A lot of the brands do this same thing now. Check carefully when buying a microwave oven if you want the light to come on when you open the door. Anyway I like this Westinghouse oven very much and I'm glad I bought it And yes, the light comes on when you open the oven door!

Works well. Quiet. Solid. Easy to read numbers/control panel
It works well. Solid. Quiet. Easy to read numbers/control panel. Interior capacity is very large. The light turns on when door is opened, making it easy to see inside. It fits perfectly under my cabinets and sits back nicely from counter's edge. I've used it to quickly defrost frozen chicken breasts, to reheat a cold sandwich, etc. and it works fine.
(My last microwave was also a Westinghouse, lasted 15 years and was still going strong, but the top of the compartment rusted - I didn't know to wipe it dry after use.) 'Hoping this one goes a good 15+ years too!

Great microwave. only complaint we have is that the beeps are so loud and you can't turn them down or off. Other than that I highly recommend this microwave. On this one you press 6-0-START to set it for one minute or 1-0-0-START if you like to push buttons. The beverage button is 1:10 and very hot. You would press BEVERAGE-1 (for number of cups)-Start. The number of cups is kinda confusing at first but this microwave can heat up 2 or more cups really quick so its great once you get use to it! Same for potatoes and pizza. Its a great microwave and loud. :-)

So easy to set up and work
I was so surprised at how quiet this is when it is on.. and when it is done it beeps 4 times and stops. The beep is not too loud or soft. The pushbutton door works very easily. The light stays on while the turntable turns.. plus it fits a full sized plate. I got the stainless steel trim, and it is attractive to look at, plus it has all the features I was looking for. It was packed securely, so everything was in perfect shape. I hope to have many, many years of use with this new Westinghouse microwave. I use my microwave constantly, and if I have any problems I will update this., My last microwave only lasted two years! (It was a different brand...)

I'm seeing quite a few reviews on here that indicate the front button panel wears out. What is clear from their pictures is that the customers never removed the plastic film that is over the buttons and supposed to be removed prior to operation per the instruction manual. Don't leave negative reviews when you failed to read the manual.
Anyway....this behemoth is replacing a ten year old 700 watt clunker that finally died on me.
I LOVE my new nuker.
Sleek, stylish. The delivery dude was not happy. It weighs a ton and he made it a point to tell me lol. Works great. Looks great.
....read the manual. It's really not that hard.

Only problem for me is the beep when task is complete doesn't stop until you return and stop it. Prefer if it would alert you only that job is complete so that you are not required to stay in kitchen or return to kitchen to shut it off. Other than that it's a fine appliance.

Cooks food but beeps obnoxiously
I've had this microwave for a year and a half. It's still working fine, although it seems like it doesn't heat quite as hot now as when it was new. Things take a little bit longer. But it's still perfectly useful. It also wasn't that expensive.
What I didn't anticipate was the beeping. Unlike any other microwave I've ever used, you can't stop it from beeping full its through end-of-cycle announcement by opening the door. It just keeps beeping. Not so great if you're heating oatmeal while somebody else tries to sleep through breakfast.
Worse, it has a feature that beeps again after a few minutes if you don't get to the cooked food right away. This will keep going indefinitely, and it's really, really annoying. I would not buy this microwave again for that reason. Any microwave will cook your food; it takes a special microwave to be this obnoxious.

I love it !!!!!
I love it !!!!!
It's white, moderately quiet and rather pleasant buzzing, pretty, medium size, my plate cover fits in no problem. The door opens at the push of a button that is kind of ingenious (it swivels) as you use minimal effort to open or close . It's well designed and put together. You can program it for potatoes, pizza and more.
Feels like it will last for a long time. I've been using it for a few weeks with no problems.
Also, I get the impression that it's rather powerful. It's faster than my old 1250 watt, bulky 1.6 cf. unit from Panasonic: One 300 g. potato is done in 4:30 minutes, whereas the old Panasonic it would take 6:00 minutes.
If you are thinking of buying it, I say do it !!!!!

Received defective. Westinghouse confirmed 'defective.' Couldn't ''boil a mug of water!'

Nice but didn't last.
Nice features & size. Worked well for about 10 1/2 months but has started making a "groaning like" sound. It was used almost always just to warm things up. Your talking about run time of 1 to 7 minutes. I don't believe my wife ever used it to actually cook something because we have a much larger microwave over the electric range for that purpose when needed. I don't want to take the chance of having an electrical incident; therefore, I have unplugged it & will contact the manufacturer to honor the one year warranty. I did purchase an additional warranty but it doesn't take affect until the manufacturer warranty expires after one year. If the manufacturer doesn't honor its own warranty, I will let you know.
