My New Every Day Carry Knife
This knife came highly recommended and I was not disappointed. Beautiful design and coloring. Fits nicely in the hand and locks up rock solid. I own several Kershaws and this one is my favorite . It has replaced my Benchmade Mini Griptilian as my edc. I love it too but it's a little small. As others have mentioned, the lanyard hole is too small but I put a small keyring through it and attached my paracord pull to it and it works just fine.

Perfect EDC and Just Plain Bada$$
Awesome knife. This is my 3rd Kershaw after a Leek and Cryo. Even though it's a little bigger than I'd normally like for an EDC knife, the thinness and light weight more than make up for it. The blade shape (nice big belly) and feel/grip of the handle are both superb. The black blade finish and dark OD green handle colors are spot on too. Razor hair splitting sharp out of the box and made in the USA. The force required to deploy the assisted opening blade is in between my Cryo (difficult) and Leek (super easy), which is just about right. Basically, what it comes down to is this:
Leek: I'll go with the Leek on a particular day (slacks, skinnier jeans, in the office, etc.) if I need to carry a thin, sleek, low profile, hardly feels like it's there kind of knife that handles light tasks and is basically a needle it's tip so sharp (but more delicate blade).
Knockout: I'll go with the Knockout on a particular day if I'm okay with a larger footprint knife in my pocket but in return get a bigger, tougher, thicker blade and easier to grip handle that handles light or medium tasks.
Cryo: I'll go with the Cryo on a particular day if I need to carry a tougher, thicker (but shorter/smaller) blade and handle than the Leek but better concealed, lighter footprint than the Knockout, that handles light (possibly medium) tasks and has a very deep carry clip (no one can even tell it's a knife).

American made! What else can you say?
This is the knife that Chuck Noris' beard keeps as back up! This knife, out of the box, comes sharper than Bald Eagle talons. If you need a make shift spear to catch salmon in the wilderness of Alaska, this knife is for you. This knife with its anti glare matte finish will give you the stealth needed to stalk a grizzly bear. This knife with its light weight frame and razor sharp blade will help you shave that grizzley's back for your own added chest hair. In case you need to clean up before carrying your woman off into the sunset don't worry, the knife washes easily. Overall, this knife flips the freedom switch and drops the panties.

USA-Made, Razor Sharp, Great Steel, Great Price!
I'm embarrassed to say I hit that stage in EDC where I started to review my setup and found my knife was severely lacking. I temporarily upgraded to a Cryo 2 which I love, but ultimately wanted a US-made folder. After lots of research I kept coming back to the Knockout, and being a Kershaw fan, I decided to order one especially considering it is on promotion via Kershaw/2DayDeliver. Got it in the mail 2 days later and have to admit it is a sturdy knife. It came razor sharp too, much sharper than any other knife I have ordered so far. How sharp? Well, I do the shave test on my arm each time I get a folder and this is the first time I officially have a bald spot just above my wrist. I am still getting used to the matte-style but everything else looks great. It came tip-up but I carry any assisted opening folders tip-down for safety reasons. For those on the fence about it, it is a great looking EDC knife that is not too heavy but makes a statement every time you use it. Great USA-made Kershaw!

It is always hard to find the knife you will love. I've searched long and hard for one that fit my needs. Not too thick. Slim enough that you can still slide your hand into your pocket. Not too bulky. Not too flimsy (I have a kershaw Leek, which I really like, but the blade is too fine for some jobs, I've bent it several times. Wasn't the right knife for the job I was using it for.).
The Knockout is thin yet wide in the hand. When open and fingers are wrapped around handle it fits well both with blade held up or blade held down. The handle is pretty smooth but I haven't found it slippery yet. Will need to determine over time. I do have a friend with an older version who put strips of textured tape in the groves/design that is on the top/front side. He felt that his model was too slippery. See photo.
The auto-assist open (speedsafe) is a great feature. Though I have nearly a dozen other knives this is my first auto-assist. Feels well made and strong. I carry in my left front pocket because I carry a ton of other edc items is my right pocket. Pulling out and opening with my left hand, weak hand, is easy and natural.
Blade is sharp and the warranty includes free sharpening for life, just send to Kershaw.
I'll report back in 6 months and update my review.

This knife exceeds every expectation you can have. Hands down the best fast blade EDC/Outdoor knife one can have. MADE IN USA. Extremely lightweight. BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED. feels like a glove in my hand. Look no further. The icing on the cake was to buy this amazing lanyard paracord which is of amazing quality and sold on amazon by paracord 550 bracelets - also made in the US by a veteran with the best customer service. Can't tell you how excited i am to have this done. Bare in mind- the lanyard hole on the knife is too small for the paracord to fit. As you can see in the photo i used another strong black cord to connect them together. Are you still reading this?? Get one!

one of the absolute best EDC knives I have. Just perfect in so so many ways. The way it carries is amazing. Super slim and fit. Assisted opener, flipper or thumb studs. Sub-frame lock which I have fallen in love with, (its replaceable if damaged or weaken'd over time), huge plus. The 14c28n sharpens up very, very well. I can't say enough good things about the steel choice. I believe it to be in the same arena as VG10. The razor edge it takes is one thing that really has won me over. I mean it gets unnecessarily sharp without even trying (using the EdgePro Apex @ least). Loop over pocket clip with 4 way positionable options, completely ambidextrous. Big because I'm a lefty. The black and OD version of this knife really bring it to life in position to the black/stonewash version. I like it more for that reason alone. If your looking for a good, attractive, LT weight & comfortable EDC, look no further.

I bought this for my dad for Father's Day, and he loves it. Feels great in your hand, and keeps an edge very well. The spring-assisted opening is very fast and easy to trigger, but not so easy that it will accidentally open up.
All in all this is a great knife that should last a very long time. Definitely worth the money.
I somehow lost my Kershaw Cryo 2, and since my dad likes his Knockout so much I decided to buy one for myself as well. I bought the regular black/silver version (not the olive/black) for myself since it was cheaper. I can't express how much I like this knife. I carry it with me everywhere, and use it almost daily. This is the 3rd pocket knife I've carried in my lifetime, and it it miles better than the other two I had. It just feels like quality. The grip feels comfortable, and my hand doesn't slip around on it. It keeps a good edge as well. If you're on the fence about this knife I highly recommend it. If something ever happens to it (like I lose it or something -_- ) I'll definitely buy it again.

One of Kershaws Best Knives
What you really want to know is, would i buy it again? Hell yeah! This is a good quality knife. Straight out of the box it will shave hair off my arm. I don't mean it will pop a few hairs off, I mean clean shaven bare spot! This knife is very thin, very lite, and did I mention, super sharp. Never had a knife do so well on the paper cutting test. I have attempted to sharpen lesser quality knives and could never achieve the fine edge this has right from the box. The blade deployment is swift and solid. Flipper works awesome. wish they would have left thumb stud off, no need for it. I also previously bought the new Kershaw stonewashed Lifter, and returned it a week later and would not recommend it. I already have a china made Kershaw Clash, which I still like. The clash is heavier, thicker, and not so sharp, but it has really solid lock up and it's blade deployment is awesome...shawak! One thing the Clash does have over the Knock Out, is a textured handle, and they at least tried to put a little jimping on the back of the blade for thumb grip because there isn't much of a thumb ramp for grip either. Go on youtube and watch Nutnfancys review of the Knock Out knife (btw,he hates the clash). His conclusion is that it's almost the perfect pocket knife. If they would simply texture the handle and add some thumb grip, they would have an absolute knock out! I agree! That's the only reason i did not give it 5 stars! This knife is slim, light, solid, and dependable enough, that I would highly recommend it to be a carried as an EDC as well as a self defense weapon. The best part, did I mention, MADE IN THE USA!

Big Knife Great Value
First of I must admit that I am a total Kershaw nut. I love their knives. The SpeedSafe system is easy to operate and deploys the blade with ease. I will also qualify this statement by saying that I am a big man with large strong hands. My tiny wife has trouble getting some of the SpeedSafe knives open. This one falls in the middle range with regards to difficulty in opening. I open the blade 7-10 times a day and this one is in my rotation about 3 days a week. It is getting easier with time, but it is still in the middle.
This knife was purchased for my brother in law as a Father's Day present. He loved mine so much that I bought him one. I should also mention that this is a great gift.
