Much Better Than My Old "Mop"
My 2DayDeliver review for my new O-Cedar Easy-Wring Microfiber mop:
I need to qualify my review to disclose that I am blessed to be in a position to pay someone else to mop my floors. She couldn't make it over a few weeks ago (I think she's in her 70s so quite frankly I'm surprised she still comes at all) so I attempted to mop the floor myself. In my (i.e., her) utility closet I found a mop pole with a sponge tied on to it with a couple of rolled up plastic bags. Literally. I can't tell if this is what she has been using this whole time but considering that I don't remember EVER buying a mop, much less a replacement head for it, there is no other less mortifying reality. I used it, had to repeatedly adjust the sponge and plastic bag rope, did a horrible job, dropped it on the floor and jumped online to order this mop ASAP. So my disclosure is that I'd be giving five stars to literally anything better than a sponge on a stick.
I just used this O-Cedar for the first time. Loved it. Assembled quickly and easily. Uses salad-spinner technology with a foot pedal. Genius! The dampness is customizable (step on the gas for dryer sponge.) Again, I'm hardly a mop expert but it appears to me that keeping the mop head (if that's what you even call it) only lightly damp allows you to exert more pressure to pick up more stubborn grime without creating puddles. Plus the floor dries faster. Then to take off mop head, simply stand on some strands and lift handle up and the head pops right off. Machine washable but lay out to dry (although I haven't done that yet so can't comment on how clean it gets.) And then there's the bonus feature of doubling as a foot-operated salad spinner.
Careful on wood floors not to go to fast or else strands bunch up into a "tail" causing you to scrape your floor when pushing forward.
My toddler daughter and grandson (don't ask) were so bewildered at Mom/Grandma doing so much manual labor that they were genuinely curious. They literally fought over the mop and took turns mopping. This, needless to say, is a testament to how easy the mop is to use (and how bad of a mother/grandmother I am.)
My cleaning lady came back last week and I hugged her and gave her a raise. Although now having tried the O-Cedar Easy-Wring Microfiber Mop I am considering letting my cleaning lady finally retire so I may capitalize on this free child labor. I will definitely be looking into other O-Cedar products to get for their respective birthdays.

Simple and Easy To Use.
Update 8/07/16 After purchasing a new unit I found the mop was more efficient removing water than my previous one.
Feb 11, 2016, A gentleman jarred my memory, about disassembling cleaning and greasing the internal moving parts to prevent seizing. In my opinion it's a great option. In my case I have to buy a new unit. Keep in mind that preventive manitence is needed.
I've moped and supervised many floors in my 20 plus years in the Navy, and In my life.I have never come across a mop that simplified my life as this one has. I can't speak on durability, over time I will repost if I encounter any problems. Out of the box and into the frey this little mop is a time saver. I have a floor that is somewhat like marble, i've tried steam action and various mops over the past year. Neither alleviated the streaks and film that were left behind. The joint for the pivot is a bit stiff, I figure use will give it more fluid movement. It has two quirks but over all in my opinion it in no way affects the simplicity of the mop. The bucket is a bit off balance when filled with water, and the micro fibers get caught in the pivot joint from time to time. The bucket is fairly large so be aware if your in a small place it takes up a little space. I have not encountered any problems with the ringer or the gears that give it that spin action. Just hold the handle loosely and it spins with no problem. The more you spin the dryer it becomes leaving a clean streak free floor. Handle can me adjusted to accommodate different heights. It picks up virtually all lent dirt fibers or hair. I have never owned any household cleaning gear that has simplified my life as the O-Cedar Easy Mop has.
UPDATE Jan 15, 2016. After about eight months I noticed my mop would not completely wring out. The pulley system began to seize causing the base of the foot peddle to break in half rendering it useless. I assume the gears corroded causing it to seize.

Surprisingly Streak-free Results
I researched about every brand of spin mop I could find. The reviews were mixed so I settled for the O-Cedar Easy Wring System. I have dark cherry hardwood floors and a house that is practically all large windows with very few full length walls therefore the sun constantly "highlights" every speck of dirt, Black Lab hair, and paw print. I have used this twice since I got it last week and am very happy with my purchase. It spins almost all of the water out so each mopping is done without pushing dirty water around as is the case with traditional mops and buckets. The part of the floor I started on was dry before I got halfway through (approximately a 40 x 90 area) and absolutely no streaking! Yippee!!!
Things worth noting (though none of these were bothersome enough for me to lessen my 5-star rating):
The first time I used it the mop shed a bit so I had to dry mop it afterwards; the second time this did not happen.
The handle is aluminum and fairly sturdy - much sturdier than the handle on a Swiffer or similar product.
The mop head itself does not spin, but I see no disadvantage to that.
If you're a speed mopper the Raggedy Ann strands go completely under the red plastic triangle to which the mop head is attached and you end up dragging the plastic against the floor. Going slower prevents this.
I also found there were certain positions which worked better...a wee bit of trial and error practice was required but after a couple of minutes I got in the groove and all worked well.
Interestingly, I found this to be $30 cheaper at Walmart ($29) than here on 2DayDeliver ($59). I almost hate to mention this since I am an extremely loyal and devoted 2DayDeliver shopper.

Some sadist thought white grout was a good choice and sadly my grout had not been even ...
Where has this product been all my life! I have tile in my kitchen, hall and both bathrooms. Some sadist thought white grout was a good choice and sadly my grout had not been even close to white in sometime. A friend suggested I purchase this mop and bucket and a bottle of Clorox Foaming Bleach Cleaner. First I vacuumed my tile floors (not that they needed it or anything :-), then sprayed the cleaner lightly on the grout only on a 4 ft section of tile. I let it sit for 30 min and then mopped with hot, clear water. OH MY....looks like a new floor! I have also discovered I can spray my regular shower cleaner in my walk in shower and glass doors, let it sit for a few minutes and then clean my shower and doors with this mop. All you have to do is turn on the shower to rinse and you are left with a sparkling clean shower.

A Nice Combo cleaning system
Great system to clean floors, tubs and other surface areas. Some helpful points are that once the mop is "broke in" make sure to fit all strands inside the wall of the spinning drying mechanism. Any strands left out of the spinning area will splash outward. When the mop is properly inside the spin compartment make sure the handle is standing upright and straight then you can begin to press down on the mop while using the foot pedal and the combination spinning and steadying handle will have great results. The mop will need to be used a few times to have better cleaning results and cover areas more effectively.
The hardware is fairly well made but excessive force or brut force would probably damage the system.

No More Streaks!!!
Finally! I have purchased mops, steam cleaning devices and other products in an attempt to not only clean my tile floors but in hopes of not having streaks. All of those products failed and left streaks. I have a long hallway with a window at the end of it, so light coming in from the outside makes it very easy to see streaks on the floor in that area.
This mop was wonderful! I took it out of the box, put the end cap on, screwed the pole to the mop head and I was ready to go. I filled the bucket with hot water, skeptical about how well the spinner was going to work. But it worked great! You simply insert the mop head in to the spinner bucket and push on the pedal with your foot and it spins the water out, as little or as much as you like. Spin longer and harder to get more water out, pretty simple
The base while spinning was sturdy. The bucket didn't feel like it wanted to slide around or tip back towards me while pressing the pedal, even when giving it some oomph. The water coming off of the mop head never once splattered out of the bucket either, which is nice.
The mop head is pretty small, something I didn't even consider when I ordered this, so when i first received it, my first thought was that it was going to take forever to mop my 1500 sq ft of tile. I was actually wrong, it didn't take much time at all and was super easy to manage. I had my tile cleaned in about 10 minutes and the mop did a great job.
Cleaning the mop head was super easy as well. It just pops off (put it on the floor like you are going to mop, then stand on the mop head fibers and pull up on the pole. It comes off quickly and snaps back on just as easily. Then I threw the mop head in the washer, warm water short cycle, and it came out like new. Per the instructions, I just let it air dry and ready for the next cleaning
Overall, great mop, left no streaks on my floor and highly recommend!

Perfect to clean up salt streaks in the Wisconsin winter!
I live in Wisconsin and needed a good mop for my retail store. We are constantly trying to clean up salt that is tracked in during the winter. It's a never ending battle! We've found the trick is using vinegar and water and cleaning with this mop and then taking a second dry mop to get up any excess water. No salt streaks! I love that I can easily spin out the extra water on this mop without bending over or getting my hands wet. The mop is light weight too and seems to clean well. My only complaint is that when I unpacked it and pulled the pole longer, you're supposed to twist it to lock it in place for the height you want. I kept twisting and twisting and couldn't get it to stick. Eventually it must have caught the threads and now it seems to stay. I'll be curious how long the mop head lasts before I have to order a replacement.

Makes Mopping easy
I have had this mop for 5 months and really like it. Spinner works really well. you control how wet the mop is. I like I am not touching the wet mop. After mopping your floors you can take the mop head off and wash in the washing machine. I was surprised how clean the mop head cleaned up. In the past I have had mop steamers but after a few months did not find them cleaning very well. I did not rate it a five I wish the bucket was on wheels. Have already purchased extra mop head for when this originally falls apart. I had purchased other mops before this one and like this the best.

Perfect for my laminate flooring!
I've only used it once, but I'm already in love. I moved into an apartment with laminate flooring over a year ago and have tried so many ways to mop this floor. Most mops leave it way too wet. The spin mop is perfect - I can decide how wet I want it by how many times I "spin" it before using. I was able to mop the whole apartment and it was dry within 5 minutes. I don't know why I waited so long!

I absolutely love this mop
I absolutely love this mop. I bought a new HooverFloormate a few months ago and hated it, but I didn't want to go back to wringing mops and straining my back. Swiffers get expensive after a while and really aren't sufficient. After reading reviews, I bought this spin mop and bucket. Fantastic. Faster than my Floormate, which shocked me, and no problem for my back. Long term this will be cheaper than Swiffer. Really impressed and would recommend it to anyone.
