Value for $100! i recommend at least skimming my review before buying
I did a lot of research on these headphones before settling on them. 5 Stars is for the price of $100. I don't believe i would have payed the original $180.
I believe these maybe the most comfortable headphones on the market. You will be hard pressed to find something so lightweight. This is what almost every review i cross checked agrees on. in other words the comfort is UNDENIABLE
Ok BASS ! everyone is moaning and groaning about bass or lack thereof, let me put this into context. The bass response is clear and beautiful. It is deep on only some songs and it adds depth to them it is not just over the top bass. So if your a bass fanatic, steer clear and buy some subwoofers. Can i say rock music sounds fantastic on these headphones, wow...
I recommend listening to: Everybody loves me - One republic. On another system - car speakers, home speaker, other headphones and then listen to it on these headphones. The difference is astonishing. The drums sound like i am in the studio next to drummer himself.
The sound is so pristine that i usually maintain the volume 3-4 deviations under the max volume. I never ever put max when i am jamming. its unnecessary. Some songs are much higher/lower than other and therefore require adjusting but that is usually not the case. And even on the lower set songs i don't need to max out. I notice that the closer you get to max the cleaner the sound - instead of distortion you get more clarity which is impressive.
So think about that, i NEVER put it at max, to put this into context - i have a $100 pair of seinheisser In ear momentum 2 (ear buds) and i find myself at max often.
Isolation - They isolate so well that if i am rapping along to all the words of a song in my house i CANNOT hear myself! that is insane. I have to scream to be able to hear my voice. and mind you this is not at max volume.
Looks - I would compare this to a Stock Honda civic Si. Clean and Sleek, but not eye catching or breathtaking. As a matter of fact if what you are looking for is based on attractiveness, you could do much better.
I want to clarify something that a few amazon reviews and even video reviews spoke of, that is: that plastic on the headphones felt cheap. I disagree whole heartedly because it looks like it was constructed to be lightweight on purpose, but the feeling of cheap never came across.
Ok once last thing the cord is kinda long so you will be in a good place if you try and buy something to wrap the cord and adjust it when you need less or more. Actually the cord is the only thing that feels cheap. the adjusting for the size of your head is very crisp it doesn't move without some strong pull, feels sturdy.
One last thing that gets overlooked, the kbps will definitely affect the listening experience. so a song at 320 Kbps is going to sound way better than the same song at 190 kbps. I can already tell which of my songs are lower quality when i listen with these headphones.
I love that the cord and the ear muff can be replaced.

Sound quality excellent. First pair received had a faulty plug-in
Sound quality excellent. First pair received had a faulty plug-in, BOSE replaced without a problem, replacements work great.

Bose didn't make the cut on this one...
As someone who has used Bose products for many years, I was rather disappointed in the sound quality of these. The base level is low for Bose' standards (at least what I was used to prior to this product). The treble levels also seemed slightly clouded. The only reason I still have them is because I had too many other things going on at the time I purchased it to return it before the deadline. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on a higher grand, or another brand altogether.

Style, Comfort, Convenience, Poor Bass Response
I wasnt impressed with the highs and lows frequency response. Bose is known for its presence and compressed sounding midrange which makes music more "pleasant" sounding, so I wasnt all that surprised. Sound isolation is good though and they are quite comfortable. This is actually the first Bose item that I purchased - $100 on Prime Day. I'm keeping it for the convenience, comfort, and style. I havent used it with the microphone yet, but that is another good feature. In the end I'm happy with it as a $100 set of headphones, but I wouldnt spend much more for it when $100 Senheiser headphones would sound much better.

Nothing to see here, move along folks. They're just basic headphones. Sure, some songs sound better than others, but that's a function of the song - every song should sound good on $200 BOSE headphones. I bought these when they went on sale for $85 and even then, these headphones are not worth it. I should've listened to my friend who suggested Sennheiser

I Love these headphones!! If you are looking for a solid sounding, COMFORTABLE and beautiful pair of headphones then these are the ones for you. The only minor complaint I have about them is that if the cable gets caught on something it can occasionally screw with the sound going to the right side but thats very minor cuz u just push it back in and its solid again.

The headphone is very light and extremely comfortable for long wear
I have had 2 hours to listen to these heaphones, from my computer using Pandora.
The sound cord is thinner than an average audio lead with mini jack. The headphones jack is not a mini jack - a smaller one ( why do they do that)
and i am getting ocassional cutoffs on the right side which I have to twist or push the jack on the heaphone side to fix.
The volume controls + and - do not work at all.
However, the sound quality is very clear and crips ( im listening to mainly classical ) and neutral.
The headphone is very light and extremely comfortable for long wear.
For these last two reasons I am considering keeping them. However, for the price I would have expected non of my cons ...

For the price I'd expect surround sound but the sound quality is still good even though it is stereo.
Sits on the head very comfortably for long hours. After six months I took the foam cups off, cleaned them, and then put them on the opposite ear they came off of so the foam is balanced and not flattened. Still comfortable.

High sound quality, your ear can get hot if wear for long time
Great headphones. One of the best headphones that I've purchased. Exceptional low, mid, high. Surprisingly 'affordable' for a Bose product. However, my head and ears got hot and sweaty after just 30-40 minutes of wearing it. It is very comfortable but the heat (from happy no insulation) is the trade off when you get any over-ear headphones I guess...

Bose is not the brand it used to be.
I bought a pair of Bose headphones around 8 years ago in the same price range as this. I bought these headphones after being very satisfied with that set. However these are not even in the same league as the 8 year old Bose headphones. Everything feels shoddily manufactured and assembled and the whole product feels cheap. The worst part of this being that the connector port at the headphones is loose which can slightly disconnect the audio cord while you are listening to it. If you shift your head while listening it loosens the cord and affects the audio, and you have to push the cord back up. Don't be dazzled by the Bose name you can find headphones for $40 for a better sound and build quality than this let alone $100.
