I tried this on a whim because I knew he liked brothy food
My 16-year-old cat suffered renal failure (one kidney only, the other one still works) and lost his appetite. He got dehydrated and really sick very quickly. I took him to the vet and she thought he was not long for this world. But she gave him subcutaneous fluids and an appetite stimulant, and told me he could do well again (aside from the muscle wasting in his haunches) if I could get him to eat. I tried this on a whim because I knew he liked brothy food, and he loved it! He started eating like a horse, long after the appetite stimulant was history. He has maintained a healthy appetite, drinks plenty of water as well, and seems like a healthy cat again. He does have significantly reduced strength in his haunches due to the existing muscle loss, but he manages to get around very well anyway. This food has been a godsend for me. I supplement it with some expensive poached salmon and roasted chicken from Petsmart, but he by far prefers the Senior Lickables. At this point I will give him anything he wants to eat, but the bonus is that this food has extra supplements for older cats. It's not pure, organic, packaged by angels, but it's been great for my older cat so far. ** UPDATE: July 2, 2016 -- My beloved Mister Big lived a good long time after I wrote this and continued to enjoy eating this food even when he was at the end of his life. He licked up some of this food on his very last day, before he passed peacefully. Most cats will not eat when they are that sick, but Mister Big loved this food and would even lick the juice off of my fingers. I am very grateful for the pleasure it brought him, all the way to the very end of his life. Also, I thank all of you who have left such wonderfully supportive comments for me. It has meant a lot.

Great for older, finicky cats that prefer gravy.
My cat loves the Stew and Bisque. It is a 5 star product.
If your cat likes to lick gravy and nibble at a few pieces of meat, this product may be what you want. It is about a quarter of the weight/size/portion of normal pouches. The chicken appears to be similar to canned chicken bought for humans and a few veggie bits with a lot of gravy. There is as much gravy, if not more, than solids.
My cat, who is older, will only lick gravy from cans or pouches. I have never seen her eat any of the canned/pouch solids. However, she will actually eat most of the chicken from the Delectables' Stew. She also likes the Bisque product, which is all thick liquid, no solids.
Locally, I can purchase these for $0.94 to $1 per pouch. It is more expensive and less content, but my cat seems to prefer it. She is eating more than she has in years.

Miracle Bisque for Aaron the Siamese in Kidney Failure!
My Siamese Aaron has been in kidney failure about 3 years now. Getting him to eat anything canned, let alone prescription canned has been torture and it sure breaks the bank. After tons of experimentation, I stumbled upon Hartz Bisque for Senior Cats 15+. It is a miracle trick that I pour over his k/d canned food and microwave about 10 seconds before serving. Now I don't want to say exactly that I spoil Aaron but I do hold his bowl under his nose and voila, he kivks almost all of it up like a demon cat! There is a Chicken and Tuna Stew for 15+ cats from Harts too that I've tried. He will eat that too, but it's the Bisque over his Rx canned food that he gobbles down...and doesn't throw up either!!! As of the day I am writing this, it is currently unavailable from 2DayDeliver and even though I am a Prime member, I will gladly order it in quantity of 4 or 5 boxes from Chewy.com in order to get free shipping. I don't see Aaron getting tired of this after a couple of months as he has with anything else canned I have tried. I give it twice a day over his k/d canned food and leave out a treat ball of k/d kibble during the day and at bedtime. He came to me at age 10 only eating kibble so the struggle has been real getting him to eat canned food of any kind. Using Hartz Bisque over his Rx canned food has been THE ONLY thing that has worked in 3 years of agony and expense! Please, 2DayDeliver, get this back ASAP!!!

My cat loved it!
I have an 18 year old cat. Recently, she has had some trouble eating her food. I bought her these packets and she loved them. Before she was only eating the gravy of her old food. With this food, she is able to eat everything on her plate. She loves it. I would highly recommend it. I will definitely be getting more of this for her in the future.

Finally, something my Princess will eat.
My Princess has got to be one of the pickiest wet food eaters I've ever had, and at a healthy almost 15 years old, I was becoming concerned when she started refusing to lick the gravy of the brand she usually likes. I bought only 4 packets from somewhere else based on a friend's suggestion and cried tears of joy when I watched my baby not only lick up the sauce/gravy but ACTUALLY EAT the meat too! All I can say is, Yaay!

Appetite has returned w/these!
My kitty had been losing weight as he has a jaw problem and is in pain at times. He wouldn't eat much and seemed to have lost interest in all his food. I tried boiling and chopping beef, chicken, liver....everything and he seemed not to want to eat anymore. I stumbled across these at the grocery store and decided to try it. He loved it and left nothing on the plate the first time he tried it! I continued to give him a couple of packs a day on their own but then decided to mix it w/his old wet food as well as kibble and he has started putting on weight again and is back to his old self! I know it's considered a treat so probably doesn't have much in the way of a meal replacement, but when you mix it w/wet food, it makes a gravy like stew which he laps up twice, sometimes three times a day. There are a couple of flavors, but he seems to prefer the chicken&tuna flavor best. There are chunks and strips of chicken in these so sometimes I do chop them up so he can eat them w/o having to bite the large pieces because of his jaw problems, but after about 6 weeks on these, his appetite is back.

Noticeably good for my senior cat
My 17 year old cat looks better since eating this. His coat is shinier. when he was younger his coat was shiny black and it seems to be getting back there again. He only licks his food anymore so I am glad you came up with this. I have another order in for the shrimp and tuna.
Update: I have been buying this for quite a while and my senior cat seriously seems 5 years younger. His fur is silky again and he is out and about more than he used to be. 2DayDeliver keeps running out of this and I hope hope hope they will restock this. I can't find it anywhere else. PLEASE restock!

My senior cat with Kidney issues- Loves it
I have a senior cat that has kidney issues and she Loves this food.
I feed it to her more often then they say to, but she loves them and it ensures she gets enough moisture since she doesn't drink water as often as I wish she would.
It is so much cheaper then the kidney food the vet wanted me to put her on and have the same nutrition that those cans have in them!
Today blood work came back and her BUN had dropped from 50 to 45 !!

and I hate to see him waste away like he has been
I am house sitting my mother's cat who has a host of medical issues (the main one being pancreatitis and a sensitive stomach), is old, and very finicky about what he eats--he's seriously rather starve than eat most days. He is the world's nicest cat, and I hate to see him waste away like he has been. (I'd hate to see any animal waste away, nice or not really.) So while she's been gone, I've been on a mission to find him food that he likes.
I tried Fancy Feast in the can, thinking he'd like the gelatinized gravy. Nope. I tried the Fancy Feast broths (which he did like, but he'd knock all of the fish off the bowl). I tried Sheba wet food. Nope. I tried Frisky's Gravy Sensations. Nope. I tried mixing clam juice with dry food. Nope. I tried canned tuna. That worked for about two days, but he only wanted to lick the juice, he wasn't interested so much in eating the tuna.
The only food that was a clear winner was these "Delectable Stews"!
I seriously don't know why he licks his plate clean when I give him the stews, as they aren't that different from the Fancy Feast Broths, but he does. He doesn't push-lick the tuna out of his bowl--he eats it all!
I know that are only enough calories to be a snack, but it's at least something. This cat is only 9 pounds and you can feel his back and pelvic bone, so I kinda feel like whatever he will eat is what he needs to be fed. :( I'm beyond thrilled that he likes them so much--he even comes running, and has been meowing for me to get them! I gave him four packets today! He is able to eat them (and keep them down) without a problem. :D
...I may have created a monster. (But it's the nicest, most cuddely monster out there.)

I have tried everything!!
My cats love this stuff I have tried EVERYTHING that is similar to this. They really like gravy and would just prefer more sauce. I wanted to use a higher standard product like Blue, Orijen, Evo, etc... But they hated those. They would snub them every time, which I get for the younger cats but my older guy will eat anything and he didnt even touch them.I have an old lady that has sensitive teeth as well, so I had to find something she would like and could eat so she wasn't loosing weight. So I decided to just stay with this product which they all love. I do wish the product was cheaper or more gravy came in the packet but maybe eventually if its gets more popular.
** Side note: If you just go to Wal-Mart its only .94 each. **
