Nice Design, Portability and Build Quality. Worked Great So Far. Lots Of Ports.
I really like the portability, (fits easily in a pocket/desk drawer/side pocket of your back pack etc) build quality and design of the multi port/card usb 3.0 type C hub. Its got an eye catching round design, has 3 usb 3.0 ports on the back, a microSD card slot and a regular SD card slot reader on the front. It comes with 2 cables to hook up to your computer, each is about 1 ft long (perfect for portability with my laptop) one has a regular usb male that you would connect to the usb port on your computer and the other cable option is for those devices with USB C or thunderbolt ports. My new laptop has a thunderbolt 3 port and only 2 USB ports but no microSD or SD card slot so I picked this one up so that I would have the ability to connect multiple thumb drives and the occasional microSD card to my laptop while on the go. I have a usb hub at my desk but I was tired of unplugging it and plugging it back in after taking it with me in my backpack so now I can have one for on the go (school, work and so forth) and leave my desk one hooked up to my desktop at home. I have some "fat" usb devices and some are small and all fit fine except I was not able to fit 2 "fat" drives next to each other as it was a tight fit but with a small thumb drive in-between them it was no problem (see the included pictures). The hub is dependent on the power from the device you plug it into and some computer usb ports only have enough power for thumb drives and not multi platter portable hard disk drives so before you blame the hub for your device not showing up in windows you might want to see how much power your usb port provides or try it on a thunderbolt/usb C port to see if that has enough power to power the hard disk drive you are plugging in, some portable hard drives have multiple platters and need more power to spin them up. I had no problem powering up a 1tb portable western digital drive through the hub while having a thumb drive also plugged into one of the other ports. Ive had this hub for about 2 weeks now and it has worked perfectly. I like the looks of it, it is built well and looks to hold up from day to day use/wear and tear/bouncing around in a backpack/etc and it might even hold up to an accidental drop or 2 but I wont be testing that, lol.

Sleek USB Type C Hub/Card Reader with Apple-like Design
When I first saw this Unitek product, I thought for sure that it was designed by Apple. It has a sharp silver metallic finish and is very unique looking. It has a little leg to stand on, with three USB 3.0 ports on one side and a 2-slot card reader on the other. The hub part is bus-powered and can be connected using the latest cable standards (ThunderBolt 3 or USB Type C) or with USB 3.0 Type A. There are two different cable types included in the package, so if you want to use it on a device without Type C you won’t run into any trouble. However, if you are fortunate enough to use a USB Type C (USB 3.1) host, you can really tell the difference in transfer speeds. On the front-side of the unit, there are two slots that support SDHC/SDXC or MicroSD/microSDXC cards. I read in the manual that you can use two cards (one in each slot) at once and I tried it. I was able to read and write on both the SD and microSDXC card at the same time without any issues on my Windows 10 PC.
Overall, I definitely recommend this product. The only thing I found a minor issue with is the hub tipping over since I sometimes apply too much pressure connecting things in the USB 3.0 ports.
Additional info: Make sure to look at the special offers & promotions section. When I purchased this item, there was a free bonus gift of a USB Type C (USB 3.1) to microUSB adapter.

Worked as it should, I had no issues with ...
Worked as it should, I had no issues with this for exactly a month. It's quick Plug'n'Play so you don't need to worry about drivers.
Works with all USB and SD card slots filled on 3.1, 3.0, and even tested working on 2.0 ports.
Speeds are as should on 3.1 connections (As shown on pictures)
Reads both SD and Micro SD card at the same time (Something that one of my other Card Readers couldn't do.
Stays in place/doesn't roll off or fall despite it's shape and figure.
3.1 and 3.0 cables are a bit too short in my opinion but I managed to plug it in on my Full ATX case without a problem.
No other issues as of now.
Attached to my review are some pictures of the product and some tests I ran on Crystal Disk Mark 5 using Thunderbolt 3 Type C, USB 3.1 (Using 3.0 Cable), USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 (With all connections filled and another with just SD and Micro plugged in). USB 3.0 test seemed to have ran slower than 2.0 but I believe it to be an issue on my drivers perhaps.

Compact USB 3.0/Type C Hub with Card Reader
This is a pretty neat product in that it combines 2 devices into one: a card reader and a USB hub. It is technically called a "USB 3.1 hub", but it can be used with both USB 3.1 and USB 3.0 host devices. I tried it with both my boyfriend's Galaxy Tab S3 with USB 3.1/Type C and my Lenovo U510 laptop that only has standard USB 3.0 Type A ports. It worked great with both using the appropriate cables. On one side is a 2-slot card reader that can be used with microSD and SD Cards and on the other side are the three USB 3.0 ports and one port to connect to your host PC/device. Set-up was pretty quick... just plug and play with both the tablet and laptop.
One important thing to note is that it is bus-powered. This means that you will not be able to use multiple high-power devices like portable hard drives with this or charge anything, but for flash drives and other small stuff, you should be fine. I personally connected three 64 GB SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.0 Flash Drives at once without any issues. I also transferred a few files on my 32 GB ADATA Class 10 microSD card to my laptop as well. Another thing I noticed is that that you shouldn't use too much pressure plugging in devices or you might tip over the hub since it balances on only one small leg. I debated taking off a star for this, but the design is so slimline that it's hard to find much fault overall.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to watch the "special offers and promos" section on the 2DayDeliver listing. The seller was including a Free USB Type C to microUSB adapter when I bought this which always comes in handy.

Has what I need.
I bought this for my HP Spectre 15. My laptop has 1 USB3 & 2 USB-C(Thunderbolt) ports. This hub give me the additional USB connections I need to connect mutiple drives for dat transfers. It works great.
I'm starting to think I should have bought the one with the ethernet port, but I'm still satisfied.
I tried connecting an additional webcam but there wasn't enough capacity to pass that signal and run my external drive. You're basically adding more traffic to a single lane highway. If you're just passing data between drives, works great otherwise you need a computer with additional "lanes" or USB ports for constant data streams like webcams and audio interfaces. If you don't know what that means, it probably won't affect you... Probably...

Promising speed but possible reliability issue
The SD Reader is fast when it works, but after less than a week of use it stopped maintaining a reliable connection for SD cards. Often cards are not mounted, and when they are, they disappear a bit later. I tried with multiple cards, and the same cards worked fine in a SANDISK USB-C reader. I'll will keep trying to see if there is a different root cause, but right now it looks like the hub I received may be faulty.
BTW, the device does comes with both a USB-C and a USB 3 cable, so it can be used with both older laptops and newer ones that only have USB-C. So far I've only used the USB-C cable, though.

Works great with all ports loaded with portable drives
I have an Intel NUC "Skull Canyon" host (running Linux Ubuntu 16.04) that works well -- even with all three USB ports loaded with "Seagate Backup Plus 4TB Portable External Hard Drives" and no additional power source. Nice!

Not USB-C Device!
This is not a USB-C device. USB-C's are significantly faster than USB 3.0 devices. I thought I was purchasing a USB-C device providing multiple USB 3.0 ports, but I was misled by its description. This device should not be listed as a USB-C hub with ethernet. It is providing Ethernet which is great, but it is not any different from a USB 3.0 hub with Ethernet which is a lot cheaper when you compare prices. There is no way I would purchase a USB 3.0 Hub with Ethernet for its price.
USB 3.0 is only 5Gbps (as described on its product page), but USB-C is over 10Gbps. You don't get the speed when you are using cables provided with this product. One 5Gbps connection is shared by one 1Gbps Ethernet and three 5Gbps ports. Thus, any device connected to this hub will have total throughput of 5Gbps of USB 3.0. However, if this was a USB-C device as described, the hub to PC connection can be either 10Gbps or 20Gbps depending on type of USB-C.

I don't like the fact that received an used product
First things first, I don't like the fact that received an used product. I mean you've sent me a product that was returned to you by an unsatisfied customer and I'm perfectly ok with that but at least I expect it to be properly packed and sealed if possible and I expect it to be in good cosmetic condition. But when I received the product it was not packed properly and I can clearly see all the tiny winy scratches and black marks due to all the previous plugging and unplugging. At least they might have used an alcohol wipe to clean it (They clearly didn't put an effort in checking the condition of the product when it was sent back to them). So this causes automatic reduction of one star.
Before going to tell you why I opted to remove another star, let me tell you about the things I love about this one.
The number one reason I liked this product is it feels and looks premium. I really love the design. And the fact that it has the base to make the adapter stationery helped more to the design. Tha cables are small which is what I'm kind of looking for. We get Two cables( One USB C and One USB 3.0), I can use the second cable for my second HDD. Read write speeds are decent for a USB C adapter. And as you can silver is kind of my basic theme for my laptop setup and it perfectly blends into my setup. Thumbs up!!
Now regarding the second-star removal. Some times when I can connect both my hard disks at a time, which I normally do I'm getting some strange noise from the hard disks like the noise they make during irregular magnetic spins. I'm worried that this may cause a data loss one day. But again this is my first day with the device and I will see what I can do about it and will update if there are any other things.

Small, useful and good looking - works perfectly
Works perfectly as advertised. It includes a connector to USB 3.1 and also to USB 3.0, so you could hook this up to either type of port. This is great news to me, as I didn't realize it would come with two different connection cables, and that increases the ways I can use this.
The USB 3.0 hubs and memory card readers both seem very fast, so this is exactly what I was looking for. The finish of the product is nice, and it definitely has a nice, polished, Apple type look to it.
