Enjoyable Writing Experience and Much More
Haven't had a lot of days with this pen, but I have spent a lot of time with it over the days I've had it. I've moved from pens that are down right scratchy to those that offer middle to slight feedback, to this one that glides across paper like butter on heated glass. Not sloppy though; even on less worthy paper, the medium nip maintains it's elegance and delivers on cultured appearing text.
Writing with it is an enjoyable experience. So much so, I find myself just jotting down random words I hear on TV, or when children are at play outside or those that just pop into my head.
Never thought about this before, but one forms a relationship with a fine writing instrument. This Parker Duofold Centennial is a bit more classic looking that I normally prefer, but I greatly respect its nature. When posted, it makes a bold statement about what it is, then in writing exercises it surrenders itself completely to the task, it's well balanced, easy in the hand, not overly weighty thereby allowing one to indulge oneself in written verse, composition, script, scribble or scrawl, with the fervor of a literary genius.

I got the Blue Chevron version of this pen and it is quite beautiful (needless to say, at this price point you buy the pen more for its looks than for its nib).
First - the pen is big and heavy overall, but the cap is what makes the statement (it is BIG). Without it, the size of the pen is "normal", although still on the hefty side, which I like. A lot of metal went into making this pen, which I also prefer to just "resin" (i.e. plastic). The section is metal, but more of the "brushed" kind, which makes it comfortable to grip, unlike the polished type. This pen is a conversation starter - if you pull it out in any setting - people will instantly talk about it. Some people like this, others don't, but keep it in mind, if you plan on taking this pen outside your home office.
The pen came with a gold-toned converter which was a really nice touch. No issues with the converter.
I got the Fine nib and have no problems with it, wrote as expected right out the box, something rare these days. It's a big nib, which is not my preferred size, but I knew what I was buying. Combined with the weight of the pen, it requires absolutely no pressure to write, all you have to do is just glide the pen, especially if you are writing on Clairefontaine. And it looks amazing.
Overall, I have no regrets buying this pen.

Parker Duofold Rules!
The pen is exactly as described. This modern reproduction of the vintage Dufold looks classic,
fits my hand perfectly, and writes effortlessly. I own several vintage Duofolds but wanted the
newer model as well. Great conversations get started when I use this fountain pen--especially
from those who grew up having to use a fountain pen.

What a Fountain Pen Should Be
This is a stylish and very functional pen. Looks great and writes great. Ink flow is perfect and the nib is smooth and glides across the paper.

It’s a wonderful pen
It’s a wonderful product. Pen is comfortable for everyday use: not so big size, a fine nib writes softy and easy and Parkerink cartridges have good capacity.
