The only problem with this gate is that it is not removable. You have to secure it to the wall and then wrap around the banister. But if you wish to keep it open you have to roll it up and keep it against the wall. No securing mechanism to keep it from unrolling.

Ok I guess
I think it's a little overpriced for the product you get. It's not as convenient as normal baby gates, with a normal gate you just open the door and walk through, with this you have to unroll it, use 3 different latches and tighten it and then when you want to get through you have to unlatch the 3 latches and roll it back up, and continue this process whenever you want to put it up and take it down, not very convenient while watching/carrying a baby. But it was our only option for the type of stairs we have. It does its job, but definitely too pricey.

Not sturdy enough for every day use!
No. At first I was pleased with this product because it offered a solution for my wall to banister stairway. Its a bit annoying to use, it requires you to clip/unclip three latches at the banister each time you open and close. However, my biggest complaint is that it wears out so quickly. After less than 3 months of use the top fabric already has holes in five locations! I've included photos. This product is not ideal for every day use.

Good solution when nothing else works!
This worked great for our awkward stairway. It was pretty easy to install, does the job of keeping the baby off the stairs and looks pretty good. The only drawback is that it's not easy to open/close with three buckles to adjust then fasten.

Great for kids and dogs!
We bought this wall to banister gate because our one year old loves to climb the stairs. This is the perfect barrier to prevent him from doing so! It looks absolutely fantastic and matches our decor. It is a pricey product, but worth every penny of the peace of mind that it brings. The way our banister/wall area is, we can get the top two straps very tight and sturdy, but the lowest is loose. Despite this, we have zero issues with our very active 15 month old trying to get through. It is also sturdy enough for me to quick hop over to run up stairs to grab something without having to undue it.
This isn't going to be child proof forever, but long enough until my son can safely climb and descend the stairs safely on his own. He is obsessed with buckles, and likes to try to buckle them, but it will be quite a while until he can undo the buckles.
Not only does it keep our son away from harm, it also works great to keep the dog downstairs so he doesn't get into any trashcans!
Very happy with this product! Thanks!

Great construction, not the best for high traffic areas.
Its solid construction and works as advertised. The only thing though is that if you are regularly using the walkway or staircase, its a hassle to unbuckle all three latches every time you go through it. I end up trying to step over it. Its not like a gate where you just open and then close it. Would be perfect if you never used the area you were blocking off.

Perfect fit for our awkward stairs design
I'm a big fan of this gate. My daughter is 14 months old and obsessed with the stairs. Our bottom three steps have a wall on one side and decorative metal railing on the other. The Stair Barrier was easy to install and does the trick. Because of the location, she isn't putting all of her weight on it and the clips give me enough flexiblity to pull it around the railings to secure it tightly enough to keep her off the steps. Pulling it back and rolling it up with one hand is easy with a little practice too.

This was exactly what we needed. At first glance, it may seem expensive, especially compared to other options out there; however, we tried a few cheaper options and they just didn't provide the functionality nor the aesthetics that this barrier does. It's a small price to pay for the use it will get and protection it provides. If you are nervous about drilling into your wall, try using command strips. We've had ours up for a month now and the command strips are just as strong as day one.

Worked when nothing else would....
This was worth the money. We have a wrought iron staircase and this was the 3rd gate we tried at the bottom of the stairs. This was to keep the baby from going up the stairs without us being aware. Looks decent. Nice and durable. Doesn't pull out from the wall like our other retractable gate did. Great purchase. So glad something finally worked in our wonky spot when no other gate was getting the job done.

Great for uneven stair banisters
Expensive but works perfectly for our stairs that has uneven banister (bottom floor piece sticks out further than the rail) which has prevented us from using any other gate. Easy installation. Sturdy- our curious little baby hasn’t gotten past it so far!
