Fractions and decimals
These are great teaching tools. I like the way the size of each correspond correctly with the adding of the larger fractions. On reverse it has it labeled with decimal points which you can use later for it's introduction.

Not as Pictured
Received these today. Super fast delivery, but they are not as pictured. The fractions are embossed in the same color as the tile which make them hard to read. Plus, the backs are blank where decimals should be. Kind of disappointed in this purchase. I’ll use them in my classroom, but not what I thought I was buying.

This is awesome. I homeschool my 5 year old, and I've been having a difficult time keeping her interest with decimals and fractions. This little wonder has been such a useful tool. Anything tangible will help lure the kids in, but this is so clever. Decimals and fractions have been getting easier and easier! I super recommend this to any teacher/parent/etc. It was fairly priced, delivered fast and super helpful! 2 thumbs way up!

Supports fractions by pulling together general vocab words used and money knowledge of decimals
I have a highly capable 2nd grader who's moving deep through 3rd grade math at school. He's got more practical knowledge of decimals in terms of money, and knows fractions mostly by academic vocab. These tiles are perfect for pulling together his various pieces of knowledge to transition to the visual awareness of fractions in relation to what he already knows.
I'm also an elementary math and literacy intervention teacher and would have LOVED to have this particular set of tiles LAST year when working with 4th and 5th graders. The academic vocabulary of 'a quarter' means at least three things to kids. This set ties it nicely together.

A must-have for visual learners, kinetic learners, and kinesthetic learners
These are an EXCELLENT way to teach fractions and decimals. Kids who prefer dealing in concepts rather than tangible things will still enjoy these, but visual learners, kinetic learners, and kinesthetic learners, are going to love these. With a Masters degree in education, I get frustrated with teachers who try to force students to learn fractions and decimals using only worksheets. Although some children learn well with worksheets, many do not. These are a great solution to help kids who prefer learning with manipulatives. The actual product is well-made and should last a long time.
