Customer service is great, hopefully I stay a satisfied customer.
When I first received it there were no instructions and a mini CD that says not to insert into a slot CD Drive. After a few minutes of getting aggravated with it I found out the CAC had to be insert face down in order to read it. The slot was pinched tight and showed damage from shipping. It was very tight and hard to insert the CAC. Even harder to slide the card out. The cable is bent in an angle that it feels like it's going to break off soon. Which also seems to be the reason it hardly works. I have to leave the cable bent backwards so as it is in use you can't see the the card or else the computer keeps saying reader ready for use every 5 secs. Overall a total let down. Already ordered the one I ordered before that goes on a Keychain and folds open. Just trying out a cool looking one, now I'm back to using the military issue one with 6 ft of cable
Saicoo contacted contacted me and post to send me a replacement reader, during that time or took for the replacement to arrive I deployed and it took a while but I just received it and it works perfectly as of now. The CAC slides in with no resistance and it reads it prefectly. I even moved the cable while it was connected and it never malfunctioned. The new one had the same bent area on the front but it seems to be cosmetic and a design flaw with the packaging, where the weight of anything placed on it will bend the plastic. I've only had it a day so we will see how it works during my deployment. Customer service is on it though.

Works great, very flexible in a small package!
This is a great finding as I'm getting ready to embark in a multi-month travel and needed a way to transfer my pics from my digital camera (SDHC) to my new Windows tablet. The fact that it has two SD slots and two MicroSD slots have already came handy when I needed to transfer data from one SD card to another one. This avoids having to copy the content from a card to the hard drive and then from the hard drive to the second card.
I have a USB hub and the speed of this reader is great. Size-wise, it's a little bigger than many single-card readers but it's doing much more and I enjoy the folding connector.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product.
[Aug 21, 2013 Update]: One month into my travel, I have used this reader almost every day to transfer content from my SD card. It's working flawlessly and the folding USB connector still feels like very solid! Still very happy with this purchase. I did not mention it previously but it's also very light which is nice.

Device didn't work but Saicoo made it right
1/3/16 update. No longer a 1 star experience. +Three stars for Saicoo support. Device had issues (see below) but Saicoo took action to make it right. This is rare in electronics companies selling peripherals. Bad devices happen, but if the company is willing to support the customer, you're covered. Note that the device was past the 2DayDeliver 30 day return window. Thanks Saicoo!
Original review: Won't recognize my SONY 128GB SDXC cards. Based on the review of Gentle Reader I don't think I'm going to risk burning out a 128GB SD card and losing all the images on it by trying another Saicoo device. In my workflow all images are on the card at first and you don't create a backup until you download the card to the computer. If the reader destroys the card all the photos you are dead. That kind of failure should be engineered out of a card reader.

From Disappointed to Happy!
I had high hopes for this reader because I truly dislike those long wires hanging from my laptop. Unfortunately, this did not work. I have a Lenovo Yoga, WIN10 of course. I tried all USB ports. I plugged my CAC reader from desktop to rule out it being my laptop's ports. Oh well.
Updated 3/30/2017 - So far so good SaicooDirect contacted me and offered to send me a new CAC Reader but with the instruction to put the card in backwards. Now, I've been using CACs for about 17 years and had never had to insert it in with the chip facing down. Once I did that though, the SaicooDirect Reader has been working wonderfully. I really, really, dislike wires and the cord on this one is very short, which I truly appreciate. You have been redeemed and thank you for working so hard to make sure your customers are satisfied with their purchases.

Temporary at Best
Original Review (April 2017): Pretty solid device, so far. Not as compact as my previous CAC reader, but hopefully it will last as long or longer. Installs itself quickly and works like a charm. Definitely worth $12!
Follow-up (August 2017): Works intermittently on one laptop, doesn't work on another (computer recognizes it for a few seconds, then doesn't - it seems the connection is bad, because when it's receiving power from the computer, it works just fine and doesn't need any installation or manually installed drivers). I originally purchased this reader because I wanted something that fits in my pocket, but that isn't too flimsy and/or unreliable. Looks like you can't have it all.

I seriously LOVE this item. As a full time professional photographer card readers are the bane of a shoot. Most of us carry 3-4 because one always fails at the worst time. This little guy performs just as well as my $50 reader in a fraction of the space. I like that it folds up small as I recently made the move to a smaller / lighter footprint with a Surface Pro 3. This takes up almost no space compared to my Lexar readers and doesn't suffer from the warped USB port issues that the Lexar readers always develop.
I'll be ordering a spare!

... came undamaged in the package and on time just like the seller stated
This product came undamaged in the package and on time just like the seller stated. However when I used it the very first time everything was going great then it stopped working. I thought it might have been a server issue due to the government sites I was going on, but after inspection I noticed the card reader came apart. The CAC card going into the slot cause it to come apart a little and just enough that it would not maintain contact with the card. I noticed when I squeezed very light the light would come one, then when I released would not read the card.
I do not know if this is a regular issue, however it would prevent me from purchasing more in the near future.

Feels cheap but functional
Seems to work ok for the most part. I use it to connect to my RAV FileHub while reading memory cards from my dash cam and transferring files to my external hard drive. I don't think it's this product's fault, but the last memory card I plugged in showed as being empty in the FileHub app when there were indeed files loaded. Probably an issue with the RAV. At the same time, the slot for the SD card is not deep at all, the unit feels pretty cheap, and I'm concerned the slot's contact with the memory card may not be very solid.

Initial item was defective, company sent me another reader that works perfectly
The initial item was defective. I could not insert the CF card. The sd card would not mount unless I kept on pushing on the card. The company read my review and sent me an apology email and shipped out a free replacement. The new card reader works well. Very fast transfer rates with the CF and SD slots. It is easy to insert the cards and they fit well in the respective slots. The customer service of the company was very diligent in their follow up making sure that I got my free replacement and that it worked well.

Very good CAC Card
I bought this to replace another brand that failed after a few months. Like the sturdiness and ability to use a micro sd card with it. the cord folds up so it is not left dangling when moving to place to place. Only complaint is the micro sd slot. I slipped my micro card in and did not realize the connector was not flush. I pushed my card in and pushed till it was flush. when it did not show on the computer, I tried to remove it but could not get a hold on it and fell into the casing. Only way to get it out was to pop it open which I did. Looking at the micro slot , it was not aligned with the opening. I closed it up and put clamps on it to hold it together. Works fine.
