Great Grill Pan!
In the week that I’ve owned the pan, it appears to be great. It was shipped in a sleek, modern box (within the 2DayDeliver box) and was covered in bubble wrap. I only mention the packaging because I recently ordered Lodge brand from another store, and it was simply the pan thrown into the store’s box and shipped. Claims that the pan is pre-seasoned… eh. I’d say it’s on par with any other “pre-seasoned” cast iron. If you’re not already familiar with cast iron, you really have to do your own pre-seasoning with something like olive oil, then the more you cook, the more seasoning and “non-stick” you get. The pan has a nice weight to it and the silicone handle grip is a nice addition.
I pre-seasoned the pan with some olive oil on the night I got it. Cooking with it the first time was simply to brown some ground beef for tacos – not because it needed to be done in a grill pan, but just because the pan needed all the seasoning and grease it could get. As I was cooking, we could definitely tell where the olive oil pre-seasoning was missed in a few spots along the sides of the pan because the ground beef stuck to the pan in those spots. Not a big deal, but again, if you’re not used to cooking with cast iron, that’s why it’s important to pre-season, regardless of the brand’s claim to be “pre-seasoned” straight out of the box. The next night, I cooked some chicken breasts on it, and they came out great.
I will admit, I did not have high hopes for the silicone handle grip, simply because of how hot I knew the handle would get. However, I found myself pleasantly surprised. During the pre-seasoning phase when the burner was up pretty high for about 5 minutes, the pan was at 384F, while the silicone handle was only 89F. After about 20 minutes, with ground beef cooked in the pan and the burner turned down to a lower setting, the pan was 300F, and the handle was 127F, which sounds hot, but was still very manageable without using any other protection.
Overall, I really have no complaints at this point and it appears to be a very sturdy pan. I’ve been very pleased with this grill pan and am looking forward to keeping it with my collection of cast iron.
Update: It's been almost 2 months and we use this pan 2-4 times a week. It's seasoned much better now and works great with nothing sticking to it. It leaves beautiful grill lines on our grilled sandwiches, and I'm still very satisfied with this purchase!

A Sturdy Cast Iron Grill Pan
I've never used a grill pan before getting this and I love it. The pan itself it very well constructed. I could not find any flaws with my pan and it has performed beautifully. Getting this pan also marked the first time I had clear instructions on exactly how to season a cast iron skillet and did so successfully. I fully coated it inside and out with a thin coat of vegetable oil and heated it, upside down, in the oven for an hour then I left it in tere to cool. I actually just left it until the next day when I was ready to use it. I know some are pretty biased against any cast iron that isn't a certain brand, but this is a great pan at a great price. It works great for searing meats, cooking burgers and more. I do like the square shape as well. It easily fits four burgers flat so they aren't wedged up on the sides, not getting cooked all the way.
This skillet comes with a silicone handle sleeve so it is easier to pick up while hot. For me the first few times of sliding it on have been really tight, but it is getting easier with use. I already broke in a silicone sleeve I got to handle my other pans, so that was something I expected. The sleeve is great for removing the pan from the over or off the stove and while you can feel the eat through it, it is not too hot and you can handle the pan without being burned.
I have been using the pan for several weeks now and it cleans up nicely and the seasoning is getting stronger with each use. I have recoated the inside of the pan with oil a few times after needing to wash out food bits. When I do this, I simply wash with hot water and scrape it out with a plastic scraper, wipe it dry, then put it on the warm stove eye for a moment to dry up any moisture, rub a very little bit of oil over the entire inside surface and wipe out any excess. The pan continues to work great and I am impressed with it. I am having fun trying new things what is for me, a new way of cooking. About the only thing I can think would be a beneficial accessory, is a lid.

two nice size ones fit well in the pan
The pan is very heavy duty. The first thing I cooked were T-Bones, two nice size ones fit well in the pan. The preseasoning worked great, there was no sticking of the meat to the pan and cleanup was easy. I can tell that this will be my go to pan for meats that benefit from grill marks.

Another Happy Customer!
I never thought it possible, but I made a pork chop in this pan that was better than on an outdoor grill! I just seared on the stovetop (zero sticking, but I did re-season the pan before this first use), then finished in the oven, and it was perfection. The silicone handle cover helps, but for a very short while... Just about long enough to quickly move pan from the oven to the stovetop. I'd suggest you still use a potholder to be safe.
If you're on the fence about purchasing this pan, fear not. Get one and get to grillin'!

Fantastic cast iron skillet.
I enjoy cooking with cast iron and this little pan is fantastic! I mainly fry up our bacon in in as it cooks it more evenly. The silicone handle cover is great since I drain the grease frequently while frying bacon. I have a glass top stove and this pan heats up fast and stays hot throughout the cooking process and even retains it's heat to keep food warm for awhile after the burner is turned - which would be great for sandwiches. Clean up is easy - I simply wipe with a paper towel and if there are any stubborn food pieces I'll use a bit of hot water with a soft dish cloth and wipe out, no soap. Dry it thoroughly and you're ready for the next use.

Maybe I lost my knack with cast iron, but this thing is a pain to cook with. It says it's pre-seasoned, but it looked like it had never been seasoned, so I seasoned it again, just to be safe. Everything STICKS and it is a monster to clean and re-season. More work than it's worth. It now rests in the donation box in the garage. Maybe some poor soul can use if for a door stop.
UPDATE: We had problems with the pan, but I have to give 5 Stars to Vremi for their EXCELLENT customer service. When they saw our original review, they immediately contacted us and make every effort to satisfy us. We really appreciated their time and attention. While, we didn't have success with this purchase, I would not hesitate to try one of their other products. Thanks, Vremi Team!!!!!

Vremi Cast iron grill pan
Vremi is an amazing company. They make the best products ever. I own several, but I've never used a grill pan before getting this one. The pan itself is very well constructed and heavy duty. This pan is the first time I've had clear instructions on exactly how to season a cast iron product. I would definitely recommend seasoning it even though it says it's "pre-seasoned". It will make your life a lot easier to just pre season it again to be sure. I know some are pretty biased against any cast iron that isn't a certain brand, but this is a great pan at a great price, and by a great company. It works amazing at cooking, or searing almost any meat and vegetables. I love the square shape. It easily fits four burgers flat so they aren't wedged up on the sides or getting smashed together.
The skillet also comes with a red silicone handle sleeve so it is easier to pick up while hot. I would definitely recommend this for purchase. It has by far exceeded my expectations. Way to go Vremi. Another great product from your company. Amazing.

I am super pleased with both products
I bought this and the cast-iron griddle at the same time. I am super pleased with both products, and i especially like this one for the silicon handle, which is removable. I ALWAYS forget that when cooking with cast-iron your handle WILL be hot. This has saved me quite a few burns. As with the griddle it came pre-seasoned, and I just season it again every few uses. I never use paper towel to season the pan, I use a lint-free dish towel instead which saves lint from the paper towels covering the inside of the pan. I have used this on both my stove top and in the oven. Cleans very easily. This is a great cast iron pan for the price, and is highly recommended for new cast-iron users because of its pre-seasoning. You get the clean grill-marks on both your meats and veggies which I am a freak about (of course nothing tastes as good without grill marks LOL) Great buy.

Vremi Cast Iron Grill Pan
This is a heavy duty great quality cast iron grill pan. It is a good size and weight. I pre-seasoned it with oil and baked it for an hour as instructed. I have used it to cook meats and veggies and it's worked great so far. I know it will only get more "seasoned" the more I use it. The silicone handle cover is great as my other cast iron pans don't have this. This is definitely a great product and would make an awesome gift!
