I fixed my own watch!
The local jeweler who for 20 years repaired my watches and replaced batteries, went out of business. Since I only needed a new battery in my watch, I shopped for, and discovered this tool on 2DayDeliver. It appeared to be what I needed so I took a chance and ordered it. The affordable tool arrived in the time promised, in good condition and VOILA, I was able to remove the watch back, lickety-split, and replace it, myself.
I am very well pleased with the price, the product and recommend it for anyone who needs to remove the back of their watch. Thanks, 2DayDeliver and Vastar.

Killer Deal and a Great Price
What in the world do you expect for $8? This is a screaming deal. I had a watch and I couldn't get the back off to change the battery. This item came with no directions, but it's pretty self-explanatory. Play with it a little bit. I got the back off my watch and this item already paid for itself by allowing me to change my own battery the first time. I have multiple watches. It won't work for me on all of them, but it will work on half of them. I think it's a screaming deal. I will only change the battery on a watch that is basic and doesn't have a lot of complications as I'm not qualified. However, for this price and for a simple battery change..........it's a great deal.

good vice, needs better wrench for hard to open watch cases
The vice works well with my family's Seiko watches. It holds them well. The wrench tends to slip out and I ended up buying a more expensive three prong version that has several different bits that fit the watch back slots better. My watches are all water resistant so the backs are hard to remove. If yours are not so tight, the wrench may work for you. You can put the vice in a larger table top mounted vice so you can use both hands on the wrench.
If you are just a little mechanically inclined, getting a wrench, vice, and batteries will save you money in a couple of years. The two wrenches and vice (two separate purchase) cost about $20 and a pack of 5 energizer batteries cost about $4.5 (I needed two kinds to service 4 watches) so after I replace 6 batteries I will have broken even in cost, plus didn't have to take the watches anywhere, but to my work bench. You could save a little money ($7) by just buying the vice and the better wrench either separately or together.

Tool works well, but instructions are not included
If you're not mechanically inclined you probably don't want this item. There are no instructions to show you or describe how to use it. If you can figure out how it works, where to place the watch and how to adjust the base and the tool you'll like this product. The thrift store where my wife volunteers receives many watches that are given away because the battery is dead. A small number have a back that screws into the case. This type of watch is apparent when equally spaced notches are found in the outer edge of the case back. By opening the case and replacing the battery the watch is worth a few dollars which benefits the charitable organization that operates the thrift store. There are two downsides to this product. As mentioned, there are no accompanying instructions. Secondly. if the watch has a wrist band that remains a closed loop when the band is unclasped you'll find it a challenge to use this tool. With this type of band the easiest way to use the tool is to remove one end of the band from the case or separate the ends at the clasp which will give easy access to the back of the case. If you don't know how to separate the band you will need to learn how to use the tool within the closed band.

I had a little bit of difficulty using the pin ...
I had a little bit of difficulty using the pin point shape on my square notches. But with patience, it worked!! I did slip a few times and put a couple small scratches on the back of the case. I am all about do it myself, and can't see hunting down a jeweler that may cost me $20 or more to replace a battery.

Like a Charm
Works like a charm, no directions needed. Just used common sense, set up my watch, unscrewed the back, switched the battery out and screwed the back on again. From opening the package to putting on my watch took all of five minutes... paid for itself there and then.
Frustration free battery replacement tool for my 30 year old Seiko.

Better than it looks, works well
This worked better than I could have hoped. The photo makes the product look cheap and lightweight plastic, but it is more durable than that. The blue portion is solid metal. It was easy to align the holder posts and screw, and the width of the turning tines. And now I can reuse it and save $. Best part: no scratches on my watch.

For something so inexpensive and simple, it deserves the credit. I just replaced the battery for my A/X watch that is big. The adjustments on this kit help out and my watch allows for the other piece to turn the back piece off. I have other watches that will need a flat head to pop off, but no biggie. The real test will be on my Diesel watch that has a dial the size of a Power Rangers activator. Nonetheless, highly recommend. Beats taking it to the jeweler and having to shell out $15 minimum for each watch!

Works perfectly and easily adjustable
Works flawlessly with my automatic Luminox 43mm. Easily adjustable connectors to hold the watch in place, and easily adjustable wrench to screw the back piece off the watch. For the job done no need to pay $300 in repairs from someone else when you can do it your self with this affordable product.

It worked like a charm
Opened the back of three Armani watches that are quite old and all the stores I went to wanted $25.00 per watch to replace the batteries. I used it,
applied a bit of pressure and Voila. It worked like a charm. Replaced the batteries myself. If you're just a bit handy this will work for you.
