Great but no Perfect!
I love the software especially someone coming from Sony Movie Studio suite. But the only reason I gave this 4 stars is because I was disappointed with the heavy spec requirements. Although my computer is way above the minmum spec requirement. The program still seems to lag a little. But other than that it is a great program and easy to use as well!

... was shopping for something that was bare bones and easy to use
I consider myself an absolute amateur video maker and I was shopping for something that was bare bones and easy to use. After just a few days of using Elements I can see this software is going to completely cover my needs going forward with producing youtube videos. It is missing a lot of bells and whistles compared to the cloud version, but unless you are doing the more complex stuff with video production you wouldn't need those features regardless. Right now the only annoyance with elements is that is does not take advantage of GPU rendering, which sadly means your CPU will need to do all the heavy lifting. I have a brand new i7 which can handle a lot so I don't notice much, but someone with an older CPU and a nice GPU will get frustrated every time they hit render. My personal experience so far though: 5 stars

Would have loved to be able to import PowerPoint Shows directly into a movie without having to convert with a 3rd party software. Seems reasonable. I was disappointed because that was my main reason for purchasing. Otherwise I would rate it 5 star.

Hardware Acceleration is a joke on the customer. Only Intel GPU support.
It does the job, but if you want it to be able to encode quickly with GPU support, you will have to shell out for the Pro version which has no option for purchase and only fee based subscription. GPU support is included for mediocre systems using Intel built in graphics. Anyone using a real video card cannot use this software to encode in real time no matter how new your GPU is. As there is no option for purchase of Pro to even begin to calculate feasibility for individual usage and no way to actually see if the GPU support will actually work, Adobe loses 3 stars with me. I will have to use Elements (since I paid for it) to process any video I put together that's longer than 20 minutes since Windows Movie Maker can't seem to handle large files, but there is no future for Adobe in my household. I can understand stripping features for cut down versions, but to even have GPU acceleration as an option, and not be able to use it since the documentation doesn't even mention it is a slap in the face to your current and potential customers. I refuse to deal further with companies that employ this level of bait and switch.

Birthday gift to myself!
I'm still in the learning curve with learning all that this software has to offer but so far I'm loving it!

Works as advertised. it is unfortunate that there is no GPU acceleration for NVIDIA cards but it is "elements" and not the full fledged version.

Definitely not as great as Pro, but it gets the job done. Takes some getting used to.
