Best budget option for recording vocal works.
For $25 dollars, this mic is pretty much what I would recommend anyone trying to record voice on a budget. You do need additional software to clean up your original recording, but you can download free software to make your recording sound decent. It comes with USB and aux adapters to record with (if you don't have an audio mixer/proper interface for your mic), but I would advise against using them with this microphone. This microphone needs to be powered by phantom power (48 volts). Otherwise the recording will be soft and full of noise that might not be able to be fixed with audio software. The product page will tell you that this mic is a phantom power mic (48 volts) but the spec sheet that comes with the product makes no mention of it. So if you do buy this microphone, you might want an audio mixer like the Behringer Xenyx Q802 that provides phantom power, or some for of xlr jack that will provide the mic with 48v.

For starter mics and no/low budget projects, these are perfect.
For the price, it's pretty dang good. I have 5 of them for a podcast that run through a board. 1 of the mics is a little teeny sounding, but that's fixed with some board adjustments. I also wouldn't toss them around. I don't have confidence in their durability so I'm not going to test it. Course the good news is if they fail, they're easily replaced! Bottomline is I've wanted to upgrade for a year now to something sexier, but it doesn't make sense. I keep listening to the quality of the voices and it's great for what we do...a fun hobby podcast. you can hear the mics here: [...]

Great Quality For A Great Price.
Hosting a small podcast is a hobby of mine.
I bought this in Sept. 2016 and I'm still using it to this day!!!!!
At the time of purchase i was just starting out so i couldn't dish out hundreds of dollars on a Professional Mic.
As i was searching for Microphones on 2DayDeliver i stumbled across Excelvan. I figured why not, It's only 20 bucks. It would be a good starter mic to hold me over until i saved up enough to get a High Priced one.
After receiving the item quicker than expected, it came wrapped up in protective packaging.
Everything good so far... I was very hesitant in the matter of trying it out on my show at first knowing the price of this item.
After doing some testing and practice runs i listened to the playback recordings and I was astonished on how High Quality this mic was for the price i paid for it.
I would recommend to anyone who is 'balling on a budget' and anyone who is just starting off in a hobby that includes commentary.
I would definitely buy again.

Worth checking out, for sure.
I bought this as an upgrade for a mic I use for commentaries on my Youtube videos. My old mic was the Zaxx Sound SF-666 (I'm not kidding). I upgraded so that I would get a more rich, focused sound by use of a USB audio interface (M-Audio Fast Track Pro) with 48V phantom power, as powered condenser mics get a better sound, generally.
The Zaxx Sound is still useful, but it uses an 1/8" (3.175mm) integrated male plug that works great for cell phones (headphone / mic jack included) and came with a USB interface for a PC that wouldn't have a mic input. The cable is neither balanced, nor shielded, so I wanted something a bit more professional without spending hundreds.
This mic is great, and as I have a desk mounted mic boom and tend to bang my arms on the desk, the shock mount works flawlessly. I cannot speak to the functionality of the mic through the included XLR to 1/8" cable, but would imagine that without phantom power, it's not going to be very sensitive to sound.
I realize this is not a Shure, Rode, or any of the plethora of high end mic manufacturers, nor am I trying to compare it to those. For the money, especially, you can't beat this mic. It seems to be of fairly durable construction; the included shock mount as well. The sound is nice and clear with 48V of phantom power going to it. If you've got an interface that'll handle XLR inputs, and a way to supply phantom power already, you can't beat this gem.
5/5 for quality of build, value for the money, and sound clarity.

Great sound quality!
Really love this microphone. I use it to make Prezi's for college. I prefer using it without the black cover piece, but I think that's up to preference and what you're using it for.
Just note that this is a microphone and mount only, no stand. I got a stand separately and it worked perfectly with the mount for this, so I'm quite happy with it all! I also got a screen, but it doesn't really seem to need it. Great item!

Best Budget Condenser Microphone!!!
WHATS IN THE BOX:
-1x Blue Microphone
-1x Power Cord
-1x Anti-wind foam cap
-1x User Manual
-1x external soundcard
BUILD: This microphone is pretty heavy and durable, this feels like one of the more expensive microphones out there. They also have this microphones in other colors. This also has a nice grip to it as well.
FUNCTION: Hooking up the microphone was very easy. Now if you really want to get the thing working and testing it out you will also need phantom power supply to power this microphone or it WILL NOT WORK!! Once you have this and get it all hooked up you will then need a audio editing program or instead of a phantom power supply, a mixer could also be used to control the functionality of the condenser microphone. Now tried the microphone without the external sound card it sounded okay, but it was not clear for me even with editing. Then I tried with the external sound card and it sound very clear and with a little bit of tweaking using an audio editor. If you want to be able to hear how you sound live as you are talking in the microphone…you will need to go into your sound settings and enable this microphone in recording tab/devices. Also this is an unidirectional microphone which means in order for you get clear and precise audio all the way through recording you need to speak in one direction of the microphone and move around the microphone or move it too much so you do not lose a lot of your voice.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: The audio editor I use is Audacity which is free! If you are not familiar with audacity then there are plenty of YouTube tutorial videos and articles out to help you. Also even this condenser microphone says Excelvan as the brand it really is not I believe these are mass produced then bought by companies who then slap there name on it and sell as though they created it. So all BM-800 microphones are the same. Also because these are mass produced different brands might include different items, for example some brands do not include the external soundcard.
Overall this microphone has been great for me and I love it and am planning to order another one soon!!!! So I would definitely recommend this microphone.

More like 4.5 stars
I've had two of these both for about 6 or 7 months, and If amazon would allow me to, I'd put 4.5 stars. This is an amazing microphone, almost studio quality. The build is nice, but the intirior components don't seem to be very sturty. My microphone stand fell and broke my microphone, it was only a 2 to 3 foot drop on carpet. Just be careful when handling. Other that that love it to bits. WARNING! One last thing if this is your first microphone you need a phantom 45v in order to get this to work right

I'm very happy with these microphones
For the price, I'm very happy with these microphones. I bought two and they both work famously. The quality sounds good and they came in really nice professional looking packaging. I saved the boxes incase I ever need to store these and I almost never save packaging. Were doing a simple online radio show live once a week and these mics are perfect.

A Sleek and Modern Aesthetically Pleasing Microphone At An Unreal Low Price - I'm a Sucker For Beauty!
A great microphone overall. It's a cardiod centric mic. It works great with my voice overs and YouTube content curation. It is very inexpensive and comparable in audio quality to mics twice it's price or more. It is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye and I love mine. I am very pleased to have it.
