10+ years of using these and I still LOVE them!
I saw that another reviewer is bothered by a quality change over the years but I have also been using these pens 10+ years and I still LOVE them. I have noted my observed changes in the product below.
PEN CASING: The shaft and casing for the old set has a fluted barrel and a white holder for the felt tip. The new barrels are smooth with a clear holder for the felt tip. I thought I would dislike this change in texture at first, but I have not found it to affect my writing in any negative way and I still find them easy to hold onto. I actually really like the changes. I purchased the 16-pack with wallet case. I did not realize that "wallet" meant that it comes with its own reusable plastic holder. I have shown this in the images and I love this feature!
TIP: The tip of my old set and new set are both medium thickness. The width is still very similar as you can see from the images.
SATURATION: Since my old set is, well, old, you can see from the text I wrote that they are starting to dry out a bit (especially the olive one). But hey! 10+ years and I am so pleased that these have lasted this long! I am super happy with the new set. You can see from the image that they obviously makes a smoother and more saturated line than my old set. They feel smoother to write with as well. I am also a LEFTY, so pen smearing is an issue with graphite pencils, gel pens, and other types of inks that don't dry to the paper immediately. These pens provide no smearing and are colorfast to page as soon as I write with them.
USAGE: I use them for note taking, calendar colorizing, old school letter writing, but mostly for drawing and creating custom typefaces for artwork and graphic design. Perhaps it just depends on what you need to use them for as to whether or not the change will bother you. For me, these pens are still my #1 brand. I have tried a number of other felt tip options and these are still the most awesome!
If you found my review helpful, please give me a YES below!

36 Pens NOT 36 Colors
I love these pens/markers. They're nice colors with a good variety and they don't bleed through thin papers like moleskine notebooks. I wanted more colors than my 18 pack gave me, so I ordered the tropical vacation 36 pack. I didn't look at the pictures close enough and there's nothing in the description, but you DO NOT get 36 unique colors. You get 26 unique colors and 10 doubles. I attached a photo so you can see the colors and which are doubled.

Hooray for Flair pens!
What a wonderful invention Flair pens was! They are great for writing, drawing, coloring. I use different colors in my engagement book to keep times matched up to events. Except for the yellow, the colors are dark enough to show up, but you have to have yellow for coloring and art work. My husband gave me a set of these years ago for Christmas before I had ever seen them, and I still marvel that he was so insightful as to know how much I would love them. They also last a while.

I like to color- don't judge me!
But seriously, my child, husband and I color together a lot. My 4 year old likes to color in my adult book. She Does great with these fine tip markers. The colors are fun and we have a great time

Good variety of colors
I waited for the price to drop on these but I still think they should be cheaper. That said my daughter loves using them and it is a great variety of colors. The pens are very smooth to use.

These pens are great! They are fun to write with and make grading students papers so much more fun. I love that they come in lots of colors. My husband likes them too, he takes them with him to class to take notes.

Are they pens? Are they markers?
I don't really know which they might fall under but I love them! They are perfect for adult coloring books and have bright and vibrant colors. I plan on purchasing another set in a different color scheme.

... long time and using this made me realize I like it. It feels so good
I haven't used this kind of felt tip pens for a long time and using this made me realize I like it.
It feels so good. As long as the pen still has ink, I never have to worry about ink not coming out.
I don't have to press down to write like some ball point pens.
I don't have to have a spare piece of paper to circle around the pen tips until the ink comes out like some gel ink pens.
And the colors. I love this variety of color.
I saw in the reviews their old version was better but since I don't know about the older version, I'm happy with this one.

I LOVE these colors
I LOVE these colors! The pens are awesome but if you have a heavy hand then they can bleed through the paper. They are perfect for color coding and I love the thickness of the writing.

These are probably my favorite markers. I use these when coloring and are a lot less likely to bleed through your paper than the sharpie ones of the same color and type of fine point.
