A Disappointment - 2DayDeliver Needs to Work on Customer Service
I purchased this drive to take advantage of the free year of cloud storage. I am an existing cloud customer. After connecting the drive and logging in, my account still showed that I was to be billed for the next year's storage. I called 2DayDeliver customer service and they assured me that next year's storage would be free. On the anniversary date I noticed my account had been billed for $64.67. Another call to 2DayDeliver customer service - after several transfers a helpful 2DayDeliver rep refunded my money AND TERMINATED MY STORAGE AGREEMENT. So, now I could not upload to my cloud drive and the clock was running on deletion of my data. With that gun to my head, I ended up authorizing payment for next year's storage and I decided to return the duet drive to recover my money. To add insult to injury I had to reinstall the duet one last time to perform a "remove drive" function. This was needed to delete a locked folder the duet placed on my cloud drive. The entire purchase and use experience was unpleasant from start to finish. I'd love to hear 2DayDeliver's side to this story - what exactly did I do wrong?

Great way to protect those family photos automatically!
This drive is exactly what I needed to be able to protect the huge amount of photos of family that I don't want to lose! We all know someone that has lost their photos that were only stored on a single device, but I don't like having to manually backup everything. This drive solves that problem and it doesn't require anything more than just setting it up once!
After setting the drive up with my 2DayDeliver Drive account everything I dropped on the Duet synced up to the Duet folder on my Drive account right away, and since I have multiple devices (phones, tablets, and computers) I also found that stuff I uploaded into the Duet folder on the Drive account synced back to the drive pretty quickly.
I really liked that I could just upload folders from any of my computers, and it synced back to the Duet drive within minutes, without having to think about it. Great idea, and well executed.

External hard drive with cloud back up!
Wonderful product. Seamless integration to the cloud. About as close to "plug and play" as you get!

Easiest way to back up to the cloud ever- but note the 1 year subscription service is JUST for new users
This could not get ANY easier to use. I was frankly amazed at how simple it is. I plugged it into the side of my computer, where a USB port is, and by the time I sat it down, it was starting to work.
IF you have never had the 2DayDeliver unlimited storage before, I think they send you a promo on it via email. Since I am a VIne member, and already buy the drive storage, it wasn't an option. I had that offer though on a similar item I bought in the past, the first time I used the unlimited cloud. I have asked for further clarification of that, and will pass it on. If you have to buy the cloud drive storage, look around for a promo code- they put them out sometimes and if you can find one, they can save you 10-20% off the regular cost of that. I mention this because to really get the most out of this drive, you NEED an active 2DayDeliver unlimited cloud drive account.
The drive asked me if I wanted to make a folder for my Seagate files, I said yes, and one showed up on my 2DayDeliver Cloud and also in this USB drive. I copied my documents folder over, and wow! It was fast- it only took a few minutes and it didn't even seem to slow my system down. I was goofing off online, thinking it would take an hour or two, but it was like BOOM, your files have been backed up. I checked, and there they are.
This drive comes with the cable and not much else. There was a bit of instruction there that I thought would not be enough, but it wasn't even needed. My system is an up to date Windows 10 system with Norton. It was literally just a matter of plugging the drive in, giving it my 2DayDeliver credentials, and answering a question about a folder. If you don't have 2DayDeliver Cloud already, you might need to set that up, but that's easy too.
The drive itself is quiet, and it doesn't take up much desk space. It is about 3/4 the size of an average smartphone. It has a nice, well sealed case. I wouldn't want to spill anything on it, but I bet if you did, it wouldn't bother it as long as you didn't let it sit.
You can drag and drop files into it, and they will synch to your cloud drive. Then you can use either the mobile app or the cloud app to access your files in the cloud. It's a great way to keep a backup of your computer or just of important files without having to learn a lot to do it.
Now, at the end of the year, you'll either need to buy your next year's cloud subscription again, or you'll just have an expensive USB drive, though Seagate has made a fine drive with this one. (I thought at one time I'd let my cloud subscription lapse, and 2DayDeliver told me that I could take up to 3 months to download any files I wanted before deletion, so I thought that was pretty nice. I have backup here at the house, but I'm always scared of a fire or something though, so I resubscribed- I like the peace of mind knowing that 2DayDeliver has my backup safe.)
Just make sure you use a really good password for your 2DayDeliver account!
Update 3/8/2017 I just got a notice of a refund on my cloud storage for the year. Yesterday I noticed the Seagate software had upgraded and they contacted 2DayDeliver. I had to sign in again. The next thing I knew, though I am a current subscriber, I got a notice of a refund on my recent purchase of the unlimited backup service.
