4 Stars By Mary on 2015-05-20 Complete objective review Ok, I just received this item and had read all the previous posts on it, so I was prepared, but what was written about this item didn't explain it properly. I will try to write a review that is completely clear and will answer any questions you may have.
The table top is 15x30, it does have a small lip all the way around from the trim on the side of the table. The lip is only about a 1/16 of an inch, so no major problem with getting in the way, chipping or cracking, but enough to keep something from sliding off. It does not tilt.
The lever mechanism to raise or lower is very nice and works very well.
It is fairly sturdy on wobbling, but you have to remember this isn't super big. It's big enough to put a laptop with mouse and pad and a drink on, that's about all the space. Being that size there is shake to it if you bump it so a drink without a top will slosh.
It took less than 5 minutes to put together, 6 screws and 2 bolts with one screw you remove and replace with a shorter screw. This is the part that everyone talks about. The directions have an assembly diagram showing you putting in the 6 screws and 2 bolts, just like any other directions kind of showing you how it all fits together before starting with the directions. HOWEVER in this case because it is so simple the diagram is your instructions, then when it says STEP ONE, you really are on step 3, you must put the thing together by the diagram (6 screws and 2 bolts with a washer for the 2 bolts) BEFORE you go to step one, which is removing the retaining screw and then inserting a short screw so that the stand can raise and lower.
The base on the floor is off center, not symmetrical, which means it still works from either side of the bed, but you can actually pull it up close to an item you are sitting in that it can't go under.
With all of that said here is the bad part and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The plate that attaches the table to the stand is approximately 4x6 in one corner of the 15x30 table. The table although laminated is press board and the screws are about 1/3 of an inch long. There is no way this thing will hold 25 pounds for long.
If you want a laptop table that you can have a drink at with a top on the drink, this is a great table and exactly what I wanted. If you're going to put a TV or heavy monitor on it, this is not the table. It's to bad they didn't make the connecting plate longer with a few more screws and just charged a few more dollars, this would be a 5 star table.
I hope this helps, I am completely satisfied with this table, as I wanted it to use my laptop on while in bed and I've found none better than this one for that purpose at the price.
5 Stars By Kristy Stout on 2015-03-24 Not just for hospitals, so many uses at home! This table can be used for so many different things! The table is very sturdy and can hold up to 25 pounds. So you might look at this table and think that it's a hospital table and yes, that is where you probably have seen a table like this. However, this table is so much more than just for hospitals.
First a little about the table. When it arrives you have to assemble the table, which took me about 10 minutes. When fully assembled the table stands at 27 1/2 inches at it's lowest height and 39 1/2 inches at it's tallest height. The table has a level on the side that you pull up to make it go up and down. You can adjust it to the height you need. One thing that makes this table different than other lapdesk type tables is that it is very narrow. It will fit in a narrow space and because it only has one leg and is designed to fit under a bed, it will fit under furniture. The table has four wheels that all lock so that the table is secured and won't roll.
So you might think, why would I need this in my house. This is the perfect table for using my laptop when in bed. If you are on bedrest, this table is a necessity. You can eat on it, work on it, read at it, etc... You could sit in a chair or couch and use the table to eat or work at. For me, when fully raised, it is the perfect height for standing and working. I have not found the table to lean or tilt even when everything is sitting on the end of the table. One nice thing about this table versus a TV tray we have is the length. I can now do webinar trainings from my house now and have my laptop and notes on the same table. I can also raise it if I want to stand and work or lower it and sit to work. This could be the perfect table for teachers that need a portable table in their classroom for a laptop and projector but don't have a lot of space. This table will roll to where it needs to be placed, raise and lower and then the wheels can be locked in place.
I have found so many uses for this table. Someone uses it at my house everyday and many times we could use a second one!

4 Stars By Linda on 2017-03-26 Great table! Just home from foot surgery. I'll be in bed, 6-8 weeks non weight bearing with a huge cast on my foot/leg. This table is overall sturdy and about the standard size Or a tad smaller then the table I had in the hospital. This doesn't expand or have a drawer or an extra pullout shelf like the actual hospital table. I think this is the best table sold here in 2DayDeliver. Well constructed and not heavy at all.
5 Stars By Joyce E. Kelley on 2016-06-05 Very good for our needs This table was perfect for our needs. My 80 year old mother-in-law is in a wheelchair. I bought this to put in front of her wheelchair so she could have her magazines, tissues, and drink available. The size is perfect. It rolls easily. It is sturdy enough to handle everything she enjoys at her fingertips. I did NOT want a tip top. I knew she would tip it all the time knocking stuff off. This one does not tip. It is very easy to position it at different heights. Just push the lever and it goes up and down. Less than 10 minutes to put together. It is sturdy and a good quality. We are very pleased with this table and would purchase it again.
4 Stars By Ricz5020 on 2016-06-24 Good buy! I bought this as a movable computer work space I could use with my favorite reclining armchair in particular. I had some concerns after reading other reviews about putting this together and about the tabletop springing up sending my laptop and coffee flying every time I inadvertently bumped the underside with a misplaced hand or knee.I watched a Youtube video first, and read the instructions carefully. The table was well packed, the screws etc were packed in separate plastic container and clearly numbered, and the instructions seemed pretty straightforward. I'm guessing the company has made improvements here since some earlier reviews. I had an old all purpose Phillips head and some pliers and they did the job handily, Total time to put together was about 10 minutes, not counting watching the video and reading the instructions. I have mobility problems and am not very handy and it was definitely on the easy side for me.
Once together it was solid, large enough to hold my laptop and an extra ASUS 20 inch screen along with coffee, snack, pen papers, phone and 2 remotes. It fits easily over the chair when the foot rest is extended and rolls easily out and back as I get up and down. One thing I DIDN'T do.... Once assembled, I noticed the base table height, as is, was right where wanted it if not and inch or two higher. I couldn't imagine any reason I would want or need to raise it so I never removed the black screw that releases the mechanism that does so. This leaves me with a very steady laptop and coffee safe surface that I don't have to worry will rise suddenly if I brush the underside with my knee. I know some have complained of this and I can't comment as to how sensitive, or how much of a problem it might be. I admit to being a little curious but as it is with the screw left in, the table height is solid, safe and perfect for me. This table does everything I hoped it would, is much better made than what I would have expected for the price, and provides great value for the money. I am quite pleased with this purchase.
5 Stars By Bonnie Deyo on 2017-07-07 More than just a medical table. I like this so much better than a bed tray. It leaves my legs free so I don't feel so confined. I love to relax on my bed with my laptop. The top of the table holds many things and they won't slip off because there is a small lip around the surface of the top. Would highly recommend to bed bound people and ones who are not.
5 Stars By K Lynn on 2017-05-22 Used by PD patient My husband started peritoneal dialysis and this is the perfect table for him to use for his computer or for eating while hooked up to his PD machine. It is adjustable and is perfect for our high bed. Seems to be very stable and is used daily without any problems.
5 Stars By auntrox on 2017-04-17 Just what I needed.... Perfect for couch or bed! Tabletop fits a laptop with plenty of room to spare. Room for a mouse or tablet next to laptop. Easy to assemble for a girl who does not do the whole assemble thing well. You do need a Phillips screwdriver and pliers or a wrench. Don't ask me wrench size, I was lucky to know what a Phillips screwdriver is! Assemble time took 15mins tops. Would be great for kids with schoolwork or a craft table.
5 Stars By Beeps on 2017-07-01 This table is the bomb if you need easy adjustment Purchased this for my wife so she could keep up with her Facebook friends and color her adult coloring books while recooperating from an auto accident (broken ribs). Now that my granddaughter saw it my wife wants me to order one for my granddaughter so she can work on college homework while sitting on her bed rather than having the laptop sitting on her lap. Purchased a second on for my granddaughter and it arrived today 7/5/17.
5 Stars By Mel Shopper on 2017-09-03 Very happy with table I might have to get another. I was able to set it up in a few minutes and pushed it over to my mother in her recliner and it hasn't left the spot. I had intended to use it in her bedroom but it is so useful as a side table that I am leaving it there. It can swivel over her lap enough that it is easy for her to reach everything she needs but she can push it aside to get out of the chair easily. The feet don't fit under her recliner very well (if I took the wheels off it would) but it wraps around it in a way that works well.
