Sony's very limited internet access
It does NOT give you complete internet access, only You Tube and Netflix. No Hula , no other sites. For a smart TV , it is NOT very smart!!

Great TV for the Money!!
For a TV that costs less that 1K the picture is amazing! I use the Vivid setting and also tweaked a lot of other settings on the picture. The picture on this TV is as good as my Sony 930D in my opinion. Setup is simple, just 4 screws to attach the stand. I set the TV up by myself. Took about 5 minutes. I put this TV in my upstairs bedroom. I watch mostly in a dark setting and the picture still looks good and not washed out. Sound on the TV is good for a thin TV if setup properly, but a sound bar would definitely be better. Blacks on this TV are really good!! All in all I am very happy with my purchase!! When viewing the picture from the side it still looked the same to me. My 930D isn't the best when viewing from the side.

A piece of s........ replaced and more issues with the new one
We bought this TV 4K Sony 70" at 1800 dollars.
The first one had many issues (crash on YouTube app after 5min use, some clouding on the panel when the screen shot dark pictures or black pictures and need to reset the tv every 5 days to use the sound system).
They replaced it (quickly) and the new tv has more problems :
-scratches on the left side
-apps Netflix and YouTube crash very often
-sound system no more detected
When we buy a Sony Tv, we expect to have a quality product, not a product like that.
Won't buy TV again
Last thing, the tv remote is so old, no keyboard and not intuitive at all. Looks like a 2000 tv remote.

Sony TVs are wonderful!!
We just set it up tonight and have been glued to the set ever since! Beautiful picture and good audio from the set, but we are going to connect it to our home theater audio tomorrow. Surround sound should be fantastic! This was a great buy!

Picture quality is good, but TV is really dumb
Picture quality is good, but TV is really dumb, not smart.
I'm stupid to buy this tv from best buy because I believed the stupid guy who told me that it runs android and has a quad core cpu etc. This TV does not run android. It is not really a smart TV. It's got a few preinstalled apps (at least it's got youtube and other useless ones built in) and that's it.
Chromecast solves all my needs though, but still... this TV is not really a smart TV.
4k content actually looks stunning on the though. You can stream it straight from the hard drive/thumb drive connected through USB
if you connect your PC through HDMI, the picture quality will be worse because all the processing happens on the PC which is pretty bad (doesn't matter what GPU you got, it will always be worse) when compared to TV's HDR processing. Youtube 4k content will also look great.
Also did I mention? TV DOES NOT support 5GHz WiFi bandwidth! Like for real? 2017 *facepalm*
have to connect with Ethernet because 2.4Ghz is congested. Agh... at least picture quality is great, that's the only thing this TV did right.

... tv because I needed a 60" tv and I like Sony products
I bought this tv because I needed a 60" tv and I like Sony products. I am happy with the picture but not the sound. The speakers are on the bottom of the tv and aimed downward. I got a soundbar to solve this. I tried to do a wireless system update, but it would not work even though I have good wi-if and youtube works fine. The help desk could not fix this so I had to do the update by usb. The pre-loaded 2DayDeliver Video app does not work. The prre-loaded Pandora app works. I wanted to add two apps, youtube kids and 2DayDeliver Music, but the help desk said I could not add apps because of the operating system. We have three tv's and this one is ok, but the operating system seems to have problems (the update did not solve the wi-fi problem).

Nice picture, briefly...
Pretty disappointed in the TV. It broke after only a few days (maybe 15 hours of use, power light blinking 6 times) and I had to put it back in the original box and bring it up to a UPS drop off point to return it. Maybe not such a big deal, except that because I'm on dialysis I have a catheter in my stomach and I'm not allowed to lift more than 25 pounds.
Turned what was supposed to be a birthday gift to myself into a huge hassle all around.
At least the seller accepted my return though, and I should get a refund once they receive it.

Picture was great, but it only lasted about a half hour. Started rebooting and then failed with a blink code. Sure, I could have called for a warranty repair, but then I would have had paid full price for a now refurbished unit. And I the main reason I bought the Sony was my expectation of a reliable product. Not getting that, why not go with a cheaper, second tier brand. Returned...

Don't buy if you want a real Smart TV, otherwise fine
I was looking for a few things in a TV: a 60 inch to best take advantage of the available space, a Smart TV so that I could stream and a brand I knew. I was excited when I came across this one for a reasonable price.
Fits perfect and picture is good with me.
I didn't realize that "smart" in this instance means you can use the pre-downloaded apps (Netflix, Hulu, Pandora and a few lesser relevant others) but that you're not able to download any new apps (including a browser) other than through the Opera TV app (which basically has nothing built for the platform).
The TV is fine if you don't care about the Smart part. Unfortunately that was one of the major reasons I bought it so I'm leaving unsatisfied. Probably should have done some more research on that component specifically before buying the TV but put some apparently misplaced faith in Sony that a Smart TV would have basic connected capabilities.
