on 1969-12-31 Having a Ball
Medicine balls are a neglected part of the fitness experience. They are more commonly seen in rehabilitation centers than mainline gyms, and perhaps for that reason they carry the taint of remedial or soft workouts.
Yet, these balls offer a surprisingly tough and fatiguing upper body workout. A ten-pound ball – roughly the weight and size of a gallon of milk – is a great way to build on a strength and fitness program. Start with 100 partner throws (depending on speed of the chest-high catch and release, this may take 2 minutes), before moving up to a 5-minute continuous throwing workout. It’s an exercise that is both invigorating and eviscerating. The effort is so gradual and yet so cumulative; the fatigue sets in slowly, then all at once.
Because you are pushing against the weight of the ball, then launching it through the air (or letting go in passing drills), the workout is completely different from pumping iron or other fixed upper-body workouts like chin ups. The best comparison for me is training on a speed bag in boxing. I love medicine ball
workouts. They take up little space and can be used in a variety of standing and floor positions in both solo and partner workouts. And honestly, working out with a ball – even a 10-pound one – is fun.
2DayDeliverBasics brand medicine ball is a solidly crafted piece of equipment with two-tone coloring, a pebbly, rubberized basketball-sized grip, and dense feel. Highly recommend buying several sizes in this line for your home-based gym.
NOTE: When throwing this ball, I suggest padded cycling gloves

Bought them all! Negative reviews must be FAKE!
Let's start by letting everyone know I've been in the fitness industry for almost 20yrs, worked in gyms and been a personal trainer for many years as well as fitness enthusiast so I know good gym quality. Okay, I am a firm believer in reading good reviews and the ones that are bad. I have to be honest and say that many times when I read reviews It is obvious that retail shops/competitors or retail distributors order certain product so their reviews are "verified purchase" and they can leave negative remarks to attempt to keep people from ordering the same quality on 2DayDeliver. With that said this is an AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME PRODUCT! It is the EXACT quality of medicine balls you'll find in commercial gyms such as LA Fitness, 24hr Fitness or any other big box commercial gym. If you are looking for commercial quality then lol no further as this product is for you!

Watch your toes!!
Great bang for the buck like many other of amazons products. Ball is dead on for weight great grippy texture which is great because you don't want to drop this on your foot! It's solid no give at all.. me and my wife pass this back and forth while doing sit-ups on a decline bench a great effective excercize to do with your partner. I do wish it was softer because sooner or later I have a feeling me or the wife is going to get hit in the face with this thing but it's going to make a great story 😆

Not for slamming on concrete.
Great ball. It does bounce. Been slamming it in the grass leaving a big crater. Great fun!
Edit: do NOT use for slamming on concrete. It will bust on concrete. Still a great ball, just bad judgement on my end.

Well made, great price!
Top quality Medicine Ball! I like doing a number of exercises with Medicine Balls, and couldn't ask for anything better than this 2DayDeliver Basics one. Seems well made, and it has just the right amount of bounce.

Surpassed expectations. Try it.
2DayDeliver basics medicine ball is high quality at a great price. It's like having a heavy basketball. I purchased the 10lb ball and it is perfect. I have been lifting weights for a few years and just started using medicine balls and I am amazed how much it has helped. I do sit ups and Russian twists using the ball. I have added so much more flexibility and for the first time I have seen improvements in my abs. It has also helped my triceps. If you never incorporated a medicine ball into your fitness routine, you should try. I cannot recommend it more and I highly recommend the 2DayDeliver Basics medicine ball

Rock hard six pounder great for messing about.
Got my 6 pounder today. It’s hard in a good way. Perfectly silent, nothing sloshing about inside it. It’s pebbled like a basketball, but slipperier. It’s almost like it has something on it, like some wet finish to prevent it from cracking during storage and shipping from China. Actually wiped it down with a clean paper towel and some gunk cane off it. I own a 12 pounder with handles, which is necessary to do more with the ball at that weight or higher; I’d never buy a 12 pounder or more without those two molded in handles. But, I wanted this little sucker to just toss around, hand to hand, while I watch football. The eight pounder was a touch too heavy when I tested it at a big box store. Six is just right. Difficult to describe the size, but much bigger than a traditional fast pitch softball, slightly bigger than a 16 inch slow pitch, gloveless Chicago (city) style softball, definitely smaller than a Brunswick ten pin bowling ball. I like this little baby for tossing up and catching and horsing around on my couch. You might, too. Oh, the stink that everyone mentions? Yep, it stinks like rubber. Bad. Hope it stops after a bit. Oh, and it shipped in a square cube box, and wrapped in clear bag.

High Quality, Multi-Purpose, Home-Gym Essential
2DayDeliver is - of course - a brand I've grown to trust and appreciate; this is the first time I've purchased anything from the 2DayDeliverBasics line. I'm very happy with the make, style, and quality of this medicine ball. I like that this is one in a set of color-coded medicine balls in varying weights, so I can add to my collection as I like.
The ball is built with material and texture similar to that of a basketball - a very small, lightly raised, rubberized pattern lays across the surface for traction/grip... which is an absolutely wonderful feature. The 8-pounder is about the size of a futsal (indoor soccer) ball and is actually helpful to use in building up power in your ankles and in your ball-kicking force if you play soccer. I not only use this medicine ball for ab exercises and HIIT movements (like "wood chops") but for increasing the strength and power in my ankles by gently, but purposefully, pushing it around the floor with my instep.

I've used medicine balls from several different companies. The 2DayDeliver Basics Med Balls are some of my favorites. They are well made and so far are holding up to my use which is 4-5 workouts per week. I use a mix of battle ropes, kettlebells, med balls, and suspension training. These med balls have a very nice textured surface which allows me to grip them even with sweat pouring off me. I use them hard but properly. They aren't slam balls and they aren't made for that purpose. Some people have complained about them splitting or failing. I believe this might be from misuse as I've not had those issues. They are accurate weight, durable, properly sized, just a nice overall selection.

Great quality and unbeatable price for this key fitness tool
If you're looking for a medicine ball, you probably already know what they are for and why you should get one so I won't pretend to be your personal trainer. For the price (good) and the quality (very good, in fact), the AB medicine balls are a great buy.
Yes, 2DayDeliver is taking over the world and putting everyone else out of business, but if you want to assuage your guilt then take the money you've saved and donate it to a worthy charity at year-end here, and take the tax write-off before Congress screws you over...
