Pretty impressive so far...
Just received it today and made my first project. The card in the photo came from the supplies included with the machine. I only had to fold it and insert the blue paper. The machine is pretty quite, super easy to setup and use (except how do I work with this super sticky mat?! I need practice.) I've never had a Cricut before because I don't do much paper-craft. I bought this one to cut out small items of clothing for sewing. I'll probably end up using it for a bunch more stuff than that.
I've been learning how to use the Design Space over the last couple of days and it's really great online software.
I'll update my review when I've had a chance to mess around with it a bit more.
I'm really loving this machine. The cuts are SO good! I didn't think it'd be able to cut things so small and precise, but it can. I'm having lots of fun and I'm just at the tip of the iceberg as far as what this machine can do. I can't wait for the knife blade to come out in a month or so. I want to make some leather jewelry and other accessories.

Fantastic machine. Very user friendly. Started cutting fabric immediately and NO issues. Also made a card from included supplies. Have a Brother ScanNCut2 which is also a great machine but the learning curve on it is awful. Took 4 days to get 1 piece of fabric cut on SNC2. No need to make your fabric stiff on the Maker to be able to cut. The rotary blade is a dream. Their directions for projects is fantastic and takes you step by step. They have a lot of projects and their Design space is great to use. I highly recommend this for ease of use. You can be up and running in minutes. No having to figure out your settings. These are all built in (but still customizable if needed).

The Cricket...bc otherwise I pronounce it "Cry-cut"
Ever buy something on a whim, only to become addicted and go nuts using it? This is my addiction now. My sister-in-law has the previous model, and my brother was making me jealous with all his customized articles: clothing, mugs, banners, etc. So when this model came out, I had to have it! Now my husband is suffering through me customizing everything in our home. Curtains/plates/mugs/walls, everything is fair game. Can't wait for the wood cutting blade to come out, because then our furniture will suffer too!
There is a learning curve with using this Cricut. I highly recommend watching YouTube videos on perfecting certain crafts you may want to try. Some of the videos from random users don't really help: they go from explaining to skipping a few steps...and voila, perfect art; me sitting there staring at the screen wondering: now hold on!! How did you do THAT part?! The Cricut developer videos are really helpful: very short and informative. There is a lot of information though, broken up into short clips (love that btw), but it really doesn't stop me from trying to experiment on my own. The user software is really simple to use, and I love how I can do what I want to make what I want. My 12 year old picked it up super fast...I had to put a password on my laptop to keep her from using the Cricut for the most random things!! Thankfully she hasn't realized that there's an app...
I really recommend this for people who enjoy a wide array of crafts/art/projects. It is simple to use, the results are stunning, and the learning curve is actually fun!

DESIGN SPACE CAN'T BE DOWNLOADED
I just bought the Cricut Maker with very high expectation! The idea was to use with my iPhone and iPad. It was a big deception when I couldn't download the Design Space App in the Apple Store because I live in Chile. It ask me to change to the US Store but I can't buy over there.
Just to be clear, I download every kind of apps and this is the first time I find an app with that limitation. Cricut should fix this and make the app available everywhere. This limitation is not explained in the article description. I hope Cricut will fix this soon.

The free software that you are forced to use made me return this four hundred dollar machine.
