I Love This Machine!
Purchased for a light weight machine that can travel to class. I am fussy, even about a classroom machine. Must have needle up/down, scissor thread cut function, speed control, and an extension table. To get these features one must always buy up (sort of like having to buy up in a car model to get the features wanted), and the price goes up, along with lots of stitch features not wanted. This is an upscale model for a downscale price. It has the features I require. It sews beautifully, even for a light weight machine, and sounds like a much more expensive machine. True, it has many stitches that I will never use, but that is OK. It was fun to unpack the machine when the box arrived -- that cute pink machine came to light and looked so friendly -- no intimidation here! The manual for the machine is the best written sewing machine manual I've ever used (and I've been through a number of machines), written in plain, concise English and easy to follow along. Take your time reading the manual while sitting in front of the machine and memorize the basic functions. You'll make friends with the machine very quickly. The Brewer Company that sells this machine is owned by Bernina. There is a 1 year warranty on electrical, and 10 year warranty on parts. They say normal cleaning, etc. can be done at any service center, but major repairs will probably have to be done by Brewer. All of the lubrication areas are sealed, so you don't have to fuss with oil -- yea!

50+ years of sewing experiece and a rate this machine as Top Notch! 10 STARS!!
I had to wait 2.5 months for the delivery of my machine. I was a nervous wreck! I've been a sewing addict for over 50 yrs. My front room in my apt doesn't have sofas, TV etc, it's my sewing room! Well, I wore out my beloved machine and was left with my mom's Featherweight and a 3 spool sergerADD TO LIST. I looked at an attachment to make button holes with the FW
and for the cost it had me looking at the Singer heavy wt machine. I do tax the motor on the FW. That started the journey to the Sparrow 30.
First day, I hated it. It's my 1st computerized machine and that took a bit to get used to. I decided to keep the macine and at least give it a couple days after waiting so long for it to arrive. By the 2nd day I was starting to like it and by the 3rd day I was starting to fall in love with it.
First off, I was worried about a 'pink' machine in my front room. But-I like it. I think of it as a 'blush' rather than pink. To me it's a soft, soothing color. It's easy and quick to thread, easy to wind the bobbin and easy to load the bobbin. I like the blade that you can use to trim the bobbin thread. It took me a bit to use the needle threader. Follow the manual EXACTLY. I love it now and Ilove the thread the button that cuts the thread when you are done sewing.
Fundamental to everything about the machine is the fact that the machine produces a nice looking stitch! From the basic stitch to all the stitches- they are very nice stitches. The motor seems strong enough so far its stronger than the FW. Truthfully, the only objection I have may be an issue due to it being computerized. I am used to controlling the speed of the stitch by pressing down on the petal and backing off and grabbing the wheel to get it to stop exactly where I want it to stop. I'm having to get used to adjusting the petal speed with the slide conveniently located on the front of the machine. The petal does allow some control but if you back off past a certain point the machine completely stops and you have to completely back your foot off and start again to get it to go. Also the when you press the stitch cutter it wants to take a stitch abd then cut but I'm done-I don't want it to take a stitch! So I'm trying to get used to stopping a stitch short and then press the cutter. All in all I think this is a very lovely machine and definately a super buy for the price. I had a top of the line machine that I sewed on daily for 30 years! I think the little adjusting I'm having to do is really quite minute and to be expected! I very confidently give this macine a top rating!

An awesome machine!
I was looking for a lightweight machine for taking to workshops when I saw this. I have quite a few machines already, some are high end and expensive, but much too heavy to carry to retreats and workshops. I've been sewing on this machine a few weeks now and love it! The EverSewn Sparrow 25 is exactly what I needed. The features compare nicely to what is on my high end machines. There is a wide range of utility, decorative, quilting stitches, and even an alphabet! The needle up/down feature is a big plus as is the automatic needle threader. This machine sews beautifully. The stitches are perfect. Being a quilter, I love that it has a drop feed for free motion embroidery and quilting. The only thing this machine lacks is an automatic thread cutter, but the side cutter works well and I certainly won't complain that it doesn't have every feature that I would like to have. If you are a quilter, be aware that you will need to purchase other accessory feet that do not come with the machine. The machine comes with assorted feet, but not those needed for quilting. The many low shank feet and snap on feet that I already have work perfectly on this machine. I am totally pleased with my purchase and have recommended it to friends. This little 13 pound Sparrow is well built, sturdy, and a great value for the price.

Seriously in love
I'm seriously in love with this little machine! After using a Kenmore for over 20 years and fighting nearly every time with threading issues, and jammed needles, this is a breeze. I love all the amazing additions that normally are only found on machines costing thousands of dollars. I use the extension table almost exclusively because it has so much room to maneuver my items. And the auto threader.... seriously love this. I have had this for about a month now and used it nearly every day and it has yet to cause me frustration. The Kenmore? What Kenmore? The only recommendation I would have overall is that this is a machine for advanced users, a novice or one who has been just learning may become perplexed by the number of functions, stitches and things that this puppy can do. But those of us who have been sewing for a while, this is wonderful.

Sparrow 25 - what a great machine
This is an absolutely wonderful machine! Easy to set up, beautiful stitches, multitude of outstanding features; even sews at the press of a button (no foot pedal needed) AND, to top it all, the instruction manual is beautiful - the best ever; clear and concise instructions all written in ONE language. No need to flip through to find your language!
In my opinion, this rates right up there with my Bernina. Don't hesitate to make this your first machine or add to your collection!

A great little machine.
I bought this as a lighter machine that I could take on retreat or to classes. It is that, but it sews like a heavier machine. No bouncing, and a nice stitch. It has a button that will start the machine so you don't have to use the foot pedal. A bonus for my little granddaughter whose feet don't reach the floor from a regular chair. A nice selection of 70 stitches. Needle up/down button. And a speed control. Really amazing for such an inexpensive machine. It has been reviewed and recommended by Alex Anderson of The Quilt Show.

Bernina quality for $500 less
I just got this machine today after reading what few reviews I could find about it online, taking a chance that the stories were true and that Bernina had a hand in the making of it. I'm a former Bernina owner (my 330 met a tragic end) and I was so spoiled by their solid construction, power, velvety stitching, and diverse fabric abilities. I'm delighted to say that this machine is pretty much a replica of my Bernina 330 but about $500 less. And a walking foot only set me back $25 instead of $125. The machine is powerful, agile, blazing fast, light, and only a little noisier than my Bernina. A great machine and a super bargain! Disclaimer: I'm a hobby sewist, and I mostly do alterations, a few simple garments, and some unfussy quilting. I paid full price for this machine at my local Bernina dealer.

Pretty machine and sews great
Purchased this because of the color and other features even though I have four other machines. It sews great and isn’t noisy. Very similar to my Janome. The thread cutting feature is an extra plus to me. There could have been more bobbins included, and a quilting foot would have been nice. Had to purchase all these separately. The machine came with four bobbins but I need more than that on hand. It’s just a very cute and the color is nicer than the same old white color most machines come in. Love everything about it. The color is what attracted me to this sewing machine so glad I decided to get it.

Easy to select stitch
This sewing machine is incredible! Smooth and quite, it makes sewing a breeze. Does everthing I need it to and more. Easy to select stitch, thread machine and needle. Automatic cut and stop/start button are probably my favorites, along with the handy table included. Sewing is not a chore anymore :-)
